This time is different because even after six months since OnPoint Contracting repaired my roof, I use that experience with them as my gold standard from now on. It was that memorable. My home is in a regular Denver suburb, and in March 2024 we experienced a severe hail storm. I thought "No big deal, our roof should be fine since it's not that old." Later that year, we were having our house painted, and learned that we had serious damage. We had our roof repaired before, but I forgot who the company was. Choosing the right roofing company was tough with so many options. I am so glad my paint contractors referred me to Nick Piontek and On Point Contracting. I had a great experience working with On Point Contracting. On the day of my appointment, Nick confirmed the time earlier that day and arrived on time for our meeting. Nick demonstrated to me they value my time and established their professionalism and attention to detail. Nick also recommended and installed Owens Corning Duration Flex Class 4 impact-resistant shingles to help protect my roof from future smaller hailstorms, which I truly appreciate. They handled everything with my insurance claim, from being present for the inspection to ensuring the insurance company paid fairly for the work. I knew I had made the right choice. As the project was scheduled, I was updated frequently with clear messages and also through their online project portal. The roofing process was smooth and seamless. While there was a small hiccup with the supplier's delivery dates, Alex, their Project Manager handled it quickly and professionally. We contracted with Proper Work to build a two-story addition to our home in last year. This was a…read moremajor, 8-month project, beginning in April and ending in December 2022. Engaging Joey Edwards and his company, Proper Work, to build our addition was probably the best real estate decision we have ever made. Joey Edwards and his crew were innovative, superbly coordinated, and very conscious of staying within our original estimate. Joey assisted and advised us with every detail along the way and executed some ideas that we hadn't thought of in the beginning, like our patio and French doors. The project included a new woodstove, hardwood flooring, a finished basement, and painting. Joey put us in touch with our excellent woodstove company--a great recommendation. (I have reviewed this company, Safe and Warm, elsewhere on Yelp.) Joey also helped with the labyrinth of city codes and inspections. I think we had a total of 12 (?) inspections; maybe more. Our home is a 140-year-old miner's cottage in a historic district, so we also needed to comply with historic preservation regulations and remain respectful of its historical character. Joey and his crew were in our home for 8 months, but all went smoothly. Our dogs and cats even came to look forward having the crew here and they were all great with the animals. The stairwell rail had to be low enough to prevent cats explorating through the railing and the crew took that into consideration. The cats figured a way around it, but no fault of Proper Work--that is just the nature of cats. Our addition has increased the value and comfort of our home exponentially. We had to make the decision to expand our home or move elsewhere, and we clearly made the right decision, with the help of Proper Work.

Greg (the company owner) is responsive, professional, and experienced. Greg has great vision and helped guide us through the whole process. He answers his phone, responds to text messages, and communicates clearly. We felt comfortable with having Greg in our house for three weeks and would undoubtedly do business with his company again. Greg completed our project in three weeks which we thought was reasonable for an entire master bath remodel. This included demolition down to the framing. Greg stayed within scope of the project and hired good help when needed. We really enjoyed that we did not need to direct the help (plumber, electrician, or tile guy) Greg made sure that he fully understood what we wanted and made sure it all happened. Greg was able to show us tile designs and even draw patterns on paper to ensure we would get what we wanted. Greg does very high quality work. The final product of our bathroom is absolutely stunning. I still walk in there each day and smile when I look around. His attention to detail right down to the trim is exceptional. We have already had several guests at the house and everyone is stunned when they walk in our new bathroom. Greg's standards are very high. If there was ever something that he felt needed adjustment, he would fix it. Nothing went overlooked or undone. The bottom line is that it's hard to find good contractors in Summit County that will stick to a schedule and timeline.
