I love Christmas markets so was super excited to check out Snowport on my last trip to Boston for the holidays. We planned to get dinner after in Seaport so it was a quick visit to check out the vendors and food options. I ended up getting a raclette baguette with prosciutto which is my go-to snack, perfect to munch on while browsing the different vendors. Food and drink are on the pricer side but that's how the Christmas markets generally go. The vendors were from all over the Northeast and there were actually more shops than I was expecting for a relatively smaller market. Overall it was fun and a good way to celebrate the Christmas season. We went after Christmas so there weren't as many people but I can see how it could get very busy right before the holidays. read more

I personally think SoWa Market is much better & superior to Snowport Winter Village in Seaport. They open daily from Nov-End of December every year but the lines are always super long. I've waited almost two hours one time. All of the vendors inside sell stuff for outrageous prices... most sell little knick knacks, ornaments, Christmas sweaters, etc. I mean, SoWa's vendors are similar in goodies + prices but there's definitely more vendors there AND not as cold since they're are in a warehouse kind of setting. Snowport is all open, so definitely dress warm if you do plan to go. Don't get me wrong, many vendors have some nice handmade, hand painted, unique goodies but a lot of them just try to sell Temu/mass produced items, so beware of that. For food, we had cheese wheel pasta ($22) and I would say, just skip it lol. Very small portion & because it's so cold out, the pasta will basically be cold already when you go to take the first bite. read more

This holiday market was fine, but manage expectations. I waited for about 20-25 minutes in line to get in on a Saturday evening. The good thing is that there is no admission fee. It's super busy here during peak times. The food variety was okay, with some savory items like poutine, raclette, tacos, and dumplings. There are waffle, cookies, crepes, and hot cocoa abound for sweets. Expect to pay a premium for treats. The waffle I had was not bad, while the raclette sandwich was passable. Just FYI, that cheese can be overpowering. Most of the stores do not sell Christmas/holiday-themed products, and don't expect this to be a European-type Christmas market. You can get a variety of jewelry, art, food, kitchen, and clothing products. It's nice to see the signs reveal where the vendors are from. However, I wasn't too enticed to buy much, save a tote bag from a familiar artist in the area. Street parking can be nightmarish, or you can save yourself the stress (but not $) by parking in one of the nearby garages. If you're willing to walk across Fort Point Channel to Seaport by parking somewhere near South Station or Financial District, you'll definitely save yourself some money. read more

2025 review here: I understand that rising costs are a thing but wow this market is so expensive compared to other years. We went for the Christmas vibes so we didn't expect to get much from the market. Luckily there were no lines to get in on a Sunday evening but it was still quite crowded. We got a couple food items to try- dumplings and some hot lattes. Both were ok but the prices were $12 for 6 dumplings, and $12 for each latte- my wallet is crying Since this is a pretty large market, all the vendors are pretty established and come from different areas in the region (even from NY). You won't be finding really small local artists/shops here. I wish there was a larger variety of shops that included more handmade items. In summary- it's as expected for the area. Around the holiday season, the Seaport in Boston is transformed into the Snowport: basically a fenced in area with merchant shops and food booths. It can get pretty busy on the weekends so I went with some family early on a Sunday morning. They offer a special paid pass that allows you to skip the line but if you just plan accordingly, you don't need to spend extra. We were able to beat the crowds and get in and see everything before it got too busy. Bring a hat and gloves as this area gets pretty cold this time of year. I enjoyed all the different food options and it was difficult to choose but I ultimately went with some duck fat poutine that was quickly prepared and a good size portion for the money. There are multiple tables and areas to sit to eat amongst all the food vendors. The Snowport is the perfect thing to get you in the holiday spirit in Boston. Free admission and waited about 20 mins in line on Black Friday. On weekends if you wanted to skip the line you can download the seaport app and pay a fee to reserve a time but I don't think that's needed. They have so many vendors, mom/pop, artisans and food to explore and see where it is great for all ages. read more

Snowport has become a tradition for our family. The lights, decorations, and overall setup make for a fun winter experience. It's a fun place to wander around with friends & family. The variety of vendors is pretty impressive.. handcrafted jewelery to art to unique clothing and gifts. Huge, huge help when it comes to Christmas shopping! Many of the booths feature local companies, which is an additional touch that makes the market great. Food and drinks! They have a few vendors spotted through the shop with some incredible hot chocolates & treats, and then they have an entire food court-like area in the NW side of the market. Loads of great options from Mexican to Italian to French and more. (Though, I gotta admit, the melted cheese on a baguette was... not great smelling.) There are quite a few chairs and bar tables to take a moment & enjoy your food. With so many people, though, it's not always easy to find an available spot. A couple tips: 1) Lines are shorter in the day and VERY long at night. You can sign up (and pay) for timed entry and get in right away. Worth it, IMO. 2) Take an uber or use spothero for garage parking. Overall, we really enjoy Snowport. It's a great way to help get everybody into the holiday spirit if you don't mind some crowds! read more

We came here the first weekend it was open this year and the line wrapped around and around the block like airport security. Luckily, it kept moving and we were able to get in in around 30 minutes. A lot of sellers were repeated from last year, but it was still fun to walk around all the food and vendor stalls and soak in the holiday spirit. Be warned that food and drink inside the market is expensive even compared to the surrounding Seaport area ($17 for mulled wine, $5 for a bottle of water). read more

Wonderful time here!! What a great market in the center of downtown area. It does get very crowded and trying to get your way through the market, especially the food area is overwhelming at first. Just so many people in the same area and there's limited seating to enjoy the food and drinks. One side is shops and the other is food. We spent a good 2 hours here walking around. We opted to get hot chocolate and shop first. Then we enjoyed some food-- got the Nutella crepe which is made fresh to order and really cool to see them make it and the pasta that they cook fresh and served out of a cheese wheel. Yum yum yum! We were lucky to be in town the same weekend Snowport kicked off its Christmas season. It's a storybook holiday fest, everything you'd imagine is there to get you in the mood for Christmas- Christmas music in the air, lots of artisanal and craft vendors with unique, gift worthy items and a large area designated for food vendors complete with hot cider, hot chocolate varieties (try Buddy version) and plenty of comfort food choices. My favorite is the Baked Cheese Haus - cheese melted off a cheese wheel into a baguette. It screams warm comfort just looking at it. I came across the Snowport village on Instagram and I was so happy I got the chance to visit it while in Boston. There were so many amazing small businesses and local vendors! One of my favorites was Sock Puppet City! This booth was silly, outrageous and fun! Joe was great with customer service and knew all the sock puppet's backstories! There was so much different food to choose from as well and little Christmas bars everywhere. My mistletoe margarita was pretty expensive for no bells and whistles but it was very strong. The elote cup was absolutely delicious and warmed me up! Let's talk about that fresh pasta in a cheese wheel! My god, it was everything I wanted! It is definitely worth checking out!! read more

'Tis the season! This is one of the biggest holiday markets in Boston. I've gone a couple of times and it's definitely a fun holiday to do, but it can be very congested given the traffic. Hats off to whoever markets for this since each year it seems to get bigger. There are many vendor stalls set up and prices are what you would expect for the area. Our first attempt last year we gave up considering there was 20 minutes of traffic going across the bridge from the financial district and that would've made us late for dinner reservation. Our second attempt we ate before hanging out in the market nearby. If you are driving, I would recommend booking a parking spot beforehand to avoid frustrations. There was still a line just to get in since they have to manage the capacity. We loved the seasonal drinks that they had available and snacks. On a sidenote, one of the vendor stalls had cheese and it dominated the scent in the air. There are two main entrances, so check both sides before lining up. When we were in line, it was sneaking all across so if you don't wanna wait go closer to when it opens. Have fun if you go to enjoy the holiday spirit! read more

Ok, so it's the holiday time of year so going to the cattle pen of chachki shopping and $13 beers is part of the tradition. Strongly recommend the timed ticket for easy access. Many different things to choose from and made by people in the New England area. For the most part, anyway. Didn't have any of the food because there was this...stench. A sour garbage mixed with feet stench that would waft in and make you cover your mouth. Could not for the life of me locate the source. The food area had to be where it was coming from. All in all, it's a nice day out before hitting the bar at Morton's, Legal Seafood, or any other top end restaurants nearby. read more

Outdoor shopping and food! Really great winter holiday market. Tons of food from waffles, to pasta, to cheese wheels, to more exotic flavors. Shopping was a combination of pop up from chain stores to specialty shops and private vendors. Music playing and a great atmosphere. So much to look at glass, kids toys, Boston stuff, jewelry, specialty goods, artwork, chocolates, and so much more. Very crowded and lines waiting yo get it. We went right at 11 and got right in. I've gone to snowport twice this season and enjoyed it both times. I had no wait to get in either time (I arrived within 1 hour of opening). My favorite stands were the ones for hot chocolate. S'mores and more had excellent torched marshmallow hot cocoa and fat cactus had many artisan hot cocoa options. From s'mores and more I got the peppermint flavor. From fat cactus I got gingerbread. I absolutely love it and I understand that it's really expensive, but I also understand that they do a lot of work to be there. I think that it has unique places to shop as well as to eat. I do wish that the eating was a little more different for the things that they have. It seems to be a lot of cheese. However, the actual stores are so cute. I love all uniqueness of the drawings as well as the bakery places. This year I went and I got a Punch needle kit which was super cute. The only downside I can really see is the line to get in but I havent had a problem. I personally think the price they charge to cut the line is insane read more

Parking is horrendously difficult or you pay an arm and a leg. It's a cute holiday market with small booths. There's a part with different food trucks that seem to be very "instagram-able" type but those also have long lines(ex. Smores). There's another area under a tent with long tables to sit and eat which is very crowded. We tried the Eloti truck and thought overall disappointing- had a cup of corn for $10, watered down hot chocolate for $5 each and then churros for $10. Churros were pretty good but thought overpriced. There were two lines that look intimidating but went pretty quickly(probably a 10 min wait), one was for strollers another went down steps. Maybe I am getting old but this just seemed more of a the "family friendly" version of going to the club- long lines, catchy social media areas to take pics/show off that you went. Maybe since we're in the burbs it was too much of a hike for us. This is a nice option if close by. Probably go elsewhere for food personally. read more

I went to Snowport Winter Village on Saturday, December 9th around 2:00pm and there was a long line to get in. Though the line moved, we waited about 30-45 minutes to get in. There is no entry fee. Snowport Winter Village has many different vendors. I had a wonderful time walking around and checking out the vendors. Some vendors were even giving out free samples. Xfinity was giving out antlers and you can take a free photo in their tent. After signing up for Living Proof's email mailing list, you can receive a sample bag with their most popular items. Inside the Snowport Winter Village, it didn't feel too crowded because everyone is spaced out. Maybe the area around the food/alcohol was the most crowded since people were congregated in groups. Snowport Winter Village's last day is December 31, 2023 and I highly recommend checking it out sometime. read more

So so cute!!! Feels like a little fairy tale getaway. It wasn't overly crowded but cozy enough to walk around all the little booths and food trucks. There are some awesome vendors here and it was so fun learning about all of their small businesses. Shoutout to the yummy cider donuts as well!! I thought the Snowport was a really fun way to spend an afternoon. We went after Christmas so it wasn't super crowded like some of the reviews mentioned. It was still busy though and I wouldn't bring my dog or my kid. I think it's much better as an adult spot. I liked walking around to the different shops and checking things out. I do wish a few more of them were strictly local vendors, some seemed like bigger names. I think my favorite vendor was the mouth blown glass ornaments, they were incredible! I also grabbed lunch at Bluefinn and my friend hit up the crepe spot. Both were tasty. I of course couldn't leave without trying a hot chocolate from the fat cactus. They had a ton of delicious sounding options. I ended up going with their classic hot chocolate and it did not disappoint. I do wish they figured out a better bathroom situation. Those portable bathrooms that have the stalls and full sinks would have been a much better option over the port-a-potties. read more

They had a great art selection this year- lots of nice Boston prints and other miscellaneous booths. I had the good fortune to enter and browse Snowport village on a late November Friday early afternoon. This was the time to go to avoid the long lines I saw previously on social media. I thought the food offerings and booths were lovely- just so very expensive. I did enjoy browsing and looking at the various selections. If you enjoy a nice cocktail whilst enjoying outdoor shopping, then you would enjoy snowport- there were many bars, as well as areas where alcohol was off limits. I am grateful for having the opportunity to attend, but I doubt I would make a special trip to attend again. read more

Went to Snowport, and while they did a great job with the Christmas decorations, that's about it. If you're curious, I recommend going early to avoid the lines and walk right in. I don't see the value in buying a scheduled time ticket, nor do I think it's worth paying anything to get in. The setup is cute, but there's nothing particularly special about the place. The food is overpriced and not very impressive. I found most of the items they're selling available online. However, if you're there, please support the small businesses. They pay to rent space, so the cost of their items can be justified. Still, the food is highly overpriced and doesn't taste good. I dislike wasting money on food that isn't even decent. Overall, I don't understand the hype. The lines are long, and the traffic in the area is chaotic. read more

Cute Christmas market nestled inside Seaport (in lot where Cisco Brewers is during warmer weather months). Over 120 local shops, and more than 10 food vendors. Several photo ops around the market, cute Christmas lights, a mistletoe toe arch, and a winter wish wall! This area also has a curling game, ice skating, and a Christmas tree! Just a note: each shop has a heater inside, so make sure to get in each one to shop/warm up!! Favorite vendor: VERY delicious (and much-needed) hot chocolate stand, right when you walk into the market (also the vendor with the longest line). Several options for hot chocolate and/or truffle flavors. Some of the negatives would be parking in the area is a nightmare (hard to find and expensive), and as of late, there are longgggg lines to get into the market (around the block sometimes). Also, everything in the market is pretty expensive (definitely over-priced), so it's doubtful you'll be bringing home too many Christmas gifts.
