About to depart this wonderful B&B, but wanted to take few minutes to give them an overdue review…read more I've stayed in four of the five guest rooms over at least eight different stays and can't recommend the Copper Beech highly enough. Owners Linda and Bill have created a lovely and calming atmosphere throughout this historic home. Classic and uncluttered, all the rooms are spotlessly clean and appointed with comfortable beds and well chosen simple decor. Certainly not the stereotypical lace, floral wallpapered and wall-to-wall dusty antique kind of B&B. Breakfast is always delicious, as are the frequent evening cookies left on the entry table for guests to enjoy at the end if the day. Will continue to make this our home-away-from-home when visiting our Bucknell student.

I can't believe this place doesn't have more glowing reviews. I was booked here by the university…read moreon a work-related trip and was pleasantly surprised. Bill and Linda were extremely welcoming and friendly. The home itself is beautiful and meticulously furnished. After a day of work-related travel, coming back to soft music, a glass of sherry, and chocolates was probably among the nicest travel experiences I've had. If you're curious about the history of the home, the rooms also feature a picture book with facts about the home and pictures of all the guest rooms. I enjoyed reading it over while having a glass of tea from the Keurig in the upstairs hallway. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip through Pennsylvania... and next time I might stay longer!

After seeing an advertisement in a train magazine, I booked an outside room here months in advance…read morefor a special trip. Finding it was difficult even with the GPS, but they do provide instructions on their website. Upon arrival, the staff was friendly and our room was ready. It wasn't large, and the level of amenities isn't the same as a Hilton Hotel, but you come here for clean rooms and lots of trains... and this place had both. They have a large deck overlooking the railroad bridge, and a mock-railroad dispatcher board inside and outside that shows you in real time where the trains are. Within the first 20 minutes of arriving we saw three trains, and by the third I didn't even bother to pull out my camera. It was like that all weekend. If you are awake you can hear (and feel the trains), but none woke me up in the night so their noise wasn't a problem. Breakfast was french toast and sausage one morning, and pancakes and sausage the next day. They were good. Free bottled water and some cereal and other things are available, and they have a fridge for guests to put food in. There were dozens of train books and magazines to read when you weren't talking with other railfan guests or watching trains. Keith, the owner, was pleasant and knowledgeable about the trains. Sadly, it rained heavily the Friday and Saturday nights we stay (we were away during the day), and it was cloudy the rest of the time. Thus, a lot of my pictures were gray and it was too dark, wet, or cold to sit out on the porch for most of the time. That isn't the fault of the BNB though. It is a train-watchers paradise. Next time I come, I will plan to just sit inside all the time and watch trains!

I would avoid this place. The owner (Keith?) has some severe unexplainable anger issues. One week…read morebefore my visit I emailed the staff inquiring about parking and leaving my Kayak trailer in the lot whenever I didn't need to pull it around town. They replied back that I could do so. They asked when I planned to arrive. I answered back between 6:30 and 7:30 am. Keith then replied that 6:30 am was too early (to avoid waking up the guests) and 7:30 am would be better. I noticed in the Bridgeview website that they are technically open at 7am. I then replied back if 7 am would be okay and I was simply launching my kayak from their ramp (No intention to check in and disturb them). This was his reply: No it is not OK. First of all check in is not until 3pm. There is no way you can bring your vehicle in here, back in, park and launch without disturbing people who are sleeping. You canot come in here that early and disturb our guests period. I am not going to argue this point. You should have told us this up front instead of now. We are cancelling your reservation and refunding your deposit. Keith Latimer Full on Monkey tilt! Wow. I can't imagine he hasn't been angry like this before for something so trivial.... I have email receipts.
