What a little gem of a place! It's not fancy, but if you're looking for somewhere quiet and beautiful to get away, this is it - especially if you're a "rail fan" (a term I just recently learned). Keith, the owner, is a really nice laid-back guy and Amanda made our breakfast which was delicious! Our room was clean and bed was comfortable - and you'd be hard-pressed to beat the setting and views. We'll definitely be back!

This place is a little peace of heaven! It's right next to the river and the bridge. The sound of nature is divine. The house is very cozy and everyone here is extremely friendly. They certainly make you feel at home. They've got swinging chairs facing the river, a lovely porch, coffee and pancakes in the morning for breakfast... This is truly lovely.

This is a very beautiful and unique Bed & Breakfast. I've traveled all around the country and don't think there's another place like the Bridgeview B&B. Located on the west shore of the Susquehanna River just north of Harrisburg, it's right next to the busy Rockville Bridge. Built in 1902, it carries trains over the river day and night. The view of the bridge from the deck or enclosed porch of the Bridgeview B&B is amazing- this is a MUST STAY for amateur train enthusiasts, "railfans," or anyone who appreciates a relaxing and friendly place to stay. The rooms are spacious and clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. In addition, they serve a sumptuous breakfast to start your day. Highly recommended+++

Absolutely! The sitting room is perfect for that occasion. It is large enough to seat probably 15-20 people comfortably, and is great for relaxing.…

I stayed at Pheasant Field for one night last week, and it ended up being exactly what I needed…read more It had been a full-on week, and I was looking for somewhere quiet to reset for a night. From the moment I arrived (a bit later in the evening), Kyle met me at the car and made everything feel easy and relaxed straight away. It's a family-run place, and that comes through in a really genuine way. In the morning, Kyle's parents, Kevin and Amy, made breakfast and took the time to chat--it felt natural and unforced, just properly welcoming without being over the top. The room and the house were spotless (which I do notice), but still felt like a home rather than somewhere overly styled. It's clearly been thoughtfully put together--everything looks lovely and considered, without feeling staged or flashy. Just a home that's been really well done and well cared for. Comfortable, calm, and easy to settle into. I found myself slowing down without really trying. Breakfast was a lovely surprise--homemade granola with yoghurt to start, followed by an apple Dutch baby. It all looked beautiful and tasted just as good. Simple, thoughtful, and clearly made with care. The setting is lovely as well--quiet farmland, a pond just across the lane, and that sense of being properly away from things, even for a short stay. I don't often say this, but I've not stayed somewhere that made me feel quite like this before. At this stage of life, I'm usually the one looking after everyone else, and for a moment there, it felt like someone was looking after me. It was simple, but it meant a lot. It's not flashy, but it's very well cared for, and that makes all the difference. I'd definitely go back--next time for a bit longer, and possibly with my family.

Pheasant Field was one of our very best experiences. First class from arrival to departure. Kevin, Amy and Kyle instantly made us feel at home. The spotless, historic, yet totally updated, home was a joy. Breakfasts were delicious. The visit could not have been better. How can I give Pheasant Field six stars??

We stayed in the Lavender Room where the temperature was just right, the bed was so comfy that we slept for nine hours, and there was privacy. Her hospitality is top notch. We've stayed with her a few times and always choose the top floor "Maids Quarters". It a step back in time and enjoy it very much. It does sit on the main road but Allison has thought of that with a cool sound machine to take to you the beach while you slumber. Comes with everything you'll need with some special extras. The made to order breakfast is fantastic. This last visit I had carmalized french toast with perfect bacon and a sweet fruit cup. It was wonderfully delish! Day before perfect executed poached eggs on homemade wheat beer bread toast. The combination was so so good. We will return again and maybe try one of the other quaint cozy rooms.
