Words cannot begin to express my gratitude to Treehouse. They're the reason my son is alive and…read morerunning three businesses today. Their support group for loved ones has taken me from the depths of despair to sanity and the ability to get on with my life. Their no nonsense approach requires the addict be ready to commit to the program; you can't just drop your loved one off there like taking your car to the repair shop. But for those truly willing to do the work to recover it's a Godsend. My son was addicted to nitrous oxide. After Treehouse he started his own support group for that unique drug, that has now grown to over 100 members. He's also been instrumental in generating the bill that is now before Congress to limit the sale of that drug in convenience stores. I credit Treehouse's holistic approach of drug education, physical discipline and psychology as well as the camaraderie they instill, with putting them head and shoulders above their competitors. I don't know of any other program that compares. - A grateful mom

I told the therapist straight up I would lie to them if I thought they weren't listening. As time went on I developed a trust in others I didn't know I was capable of. Long story in short is I learned how to manage my emotions and understand who I was, by the help of the THR staff. I have a son that never has to see who I used to be and a family that get me back. New and improved like when Thor realizes hes "Still Worthy" in End Game. Thats a Metaphor to my mental state now Tree House = Psychological Thor

I really loved Madrona. this is gunna sound bad but I honestly miss Madrona and all the staff that…read moreI felt comfortable around. They are really reliable because most of them are in recovery themselves (atlesst 5 years sober). in Madrona I have learned to be more focused on other people feelings including my parent, PO's, and all my real teachers that care about me. on top of that with work we managed to fix my impulse control. I've never had problems with drugs before but I've always had problems with talking out and doing random ideas that pop in my brain. this has been a recurring problem since I was in 2d grade and I'm now a freshman. Ive never left a review before but it's been just over 4 weeks since I've been out and I wanted to leave a review for myself to Kinda prove to myself how much I have overcome in this short time. over these past few weeks I've read a letter that one of the staff gave you me on my last day almost everyday because I was so stoked that she came in on her day off to give to me. I have been sober for 4 months and I'm on the path of getting off probation and I CANT STRESS THIS ENOUGH , if you struggling with anything (self harm, anxiety, or any type of drug from nicotine to meth, on probation or not) they will go out of there way to do anything that they think you need.

This is for Madrona in Brush Prairie, WA…read more I urge any parent who is looking for the safety and well-being of their child to AVOID this place. The communication is abysmal and they truly do not care for your child's recovery. Haley, a therapist, called me at 8:00pm to say I needed to pick my child up and that my child was being kicked out. When I pressed for an explanation, she said she would call me back and then just... didn't. I called, texted, emailed; worried sick to my stomach about what happened, and she never replied to me. I could not sleep because I feared the worst. I contacted Tina, the family support specialist, who inappropriately laughed at the incident, saying my child would not be kicked out. She had no details either and said she would contact me. She never did. The next morning, I still did not receive a call. I tried reaching out to my own child and when I got through to the front desk, Haley intercepted the call and said she would call WITH my child at noon. Instead, Haley called me with another therapist and my child was not present. Haley and this therapist said there was no incident that occurred but that my child wants to leave and stated that my child said they "did not want to change". This statement was taken out of context and was said to Haley during a private therapy appointment. Haley and other therapist then doubled down on saying my child needed to be let go but would give no further details. I asked to speak with my child and Haley said she "did not see the purpose" of allowing that call, and that "it would not make a difference in the decision". I then demanded to let me talk to my child, Haley insisted on being in the room and would not let us have a private phone call. I asked my child what happened, and they didn't know- they were not even TOLD they were being asked to leave. I explained everything that happened to them, and Haley KEPT interrupting us. I then got a call from Charlie, a higher-up at Madrona. Charlie asked me why I told my child they were being kicked out and then insisted they weren't but that they had "graduated" from the program. I then asked why Haley thought to call me urgently at 8pm, why I had lost sleep, why I was worried sick, and why I was told they needed to leave immediately. Charlie admitted that they were kicking my child out, but ASKED ME TO LIE TO MY CHILD so that my child would not get upset. I was still told my child needed to leave within 48 hours. Charlie said she would arrange for a ride for my child within 48 hours, since I live 3-4 hours away in Seattle. My child called me the next morning. My child was being kept in isolation and was told a ride was not coming for FOUR more days and would remain in isolation for that time. No goodbyes, not allowed to see any of the friend in there anymore, no "celebration" of any kind of completion of the program. Completely isolated. I was forced to leave my job, drive 4 hours to Madrona, and drive right back. A total of an 8 hour drive just to make sure my child was safe and away from these people. My child told me about the treatment inside on the ride home. Disgusting comments made by staff, including calling tampons/pads "kitty business" (said by an old white man named Seth to a 14 year old girl). My child told Haley about another incident of possible sexual assault, and Haley did not report it. As a mandated reporter, she failed my child. When I asked Haley why she didn't report it, I was told she didn't feel she needed to. I am heartbroken and disgusted, We sent our child there hoping for care and we trusted these people. Instead, they lied, they took their insurance money, and then they tossed out our child with no therapy set up, no closure and a total lack of professionalism. Every single person involved should be ashamed of themselves.

Ok so my response to melody comment got erased??? Hmmmm I guess blvd doesn't want people to know…read morethere were witnesses I'm screenshoting this incase they take it down. My own experience old not as glamorous honestly there was so much fake love and what not and I realized it when I had a small slip up and used weed . I tried completing program Two separate times. I knew it wasn't the place for me after 2 weeks and left. Fam told me to try it again so I drove all the way back to Oregon a second time . The groups were trash , autumn brown decided to have her boobs practically out when we went to the lake , how appropriate for the founder right ? She would scream at her staff , and I helped her load stuff into her car and saw a wax pen (hypocrite) So when I used weed that one time they decided to switch up and act different , I tried to talk about how I was being treated unfairly and they would restart phase one, like almost every day for 2 weeks until I stopped going to group and they kicked me out . They "lost" one if my suitcases with some belongings, I got staph infection and am covered in scars bc they wouldn't take me to a doctor and I'm pretty sure I got it from the sober living house. AND I WITNESSED WHAY THEY DID TO MELODY AND MY COMMENT WAS DELETED. Also autumn Morgan's boyfriend looks like Freddy Krueger LMAO

The remaining 1/3 seemed to just repeat the same phrases over and over again (Rob specifically). My biggest take-aways from Recovery Blvd are these: 1) I moved across country to their program partly because they said there was a LGBT program, and up until now it's on their website too. There IS NOT LGBT PROGRAM for the entire duration I was there, it is a lie. 2)There were fees that were not mentioned until I moved across country, namely an $850 fee part of which goes towards a visa-giftcard they let you use... you know instead of your actual money, and $500 for rent in their overpriced slum houses. 3) Their houses are utter trash, they are in poor condition, filled with people who will steal your stuff, including food, and managed by people who face no consequences, what do I mean? See point . 4) I am transgender and in the first house I was in there was a lot of anti-lgbt harassment against me and another client - Blvd told us to suck it up, they would not move us, and when I was in crisis and feeling suicidal they WOULD NOT LET ME CALL A CRISIS LINE leaving me contemplating leaving and committing suicide that entire night. 6) The house manager of the secound house I was placed in called me a transgender slur, specifically he called me a "tranny", I spoke up about it and while I was moved to another house, Keith Higgans (his name) is still in power at one of their houses. This man, per their own rules, if he were a client, would be removed immediately. 7) They assume you have the money. I was not a wealthy person going into treatment, having just faced a devastating divorce. I made it clear that after x amount of months I could not afford rent without having a job (I applied to them for having one, yes this is how much control over your life they have, and they ignored it for 1.5 months) and with just mere days away told me they'd apply to a program in the city for aid and IF I got it, I could stay.

1. Do not go to Luke-Dorf if you are mobility-impaired…read more We called ahead to ask about wheelchair accessibility of their facility, and were blatantly lied to. The main floor of the building where the waiting room resides is wheelchair accessible, but most of their offices for seeing clients are down a flight of stairs. There is no elevator. 2. Do not go to Luke-Dorf if you are trans. The intake specialist made a huge deal about how she wanted to get my pronouns and preferred language correct, only to turn around not ten minutes later to actively and knowingly misgender me to other members of staff, while I was in the room. Your pronouns will not be put in your file, and you will be misgendered by every member of staff every time you talk to them. 3. Do not go to Luke-Dorf if you're disabled in any way. I was told in my very first session by my therapist that my only options in trying to navigate difficult life situations made more complicated by my disabilities were to (1) ignore my disabilities entirely or (2) give up. There was no understanding or compassion from anyone in this place regarding the difficulties that living with disability imposes upon a person. The intake specialist decided that this person was the best fit for someone whose main sources of stress and anxiety were disability-related. 4. Do not go to Luke-Dorf if you're on OHP and intend to ever see another therapist. Despite telling the therapist, the therapist's supervisor, and the front desk person that I would not be continuing as a patient at Luke-Dorf, they did not close out my account. Somehow, telling my CCO that I was not returning to Luke-Dorf also did not result in my account being closed. The result: several months later, when I finally find a good therapist I like, the new clinic is unable to get authorization from my insurance because I'm still somehow active as a patient at Luke-Dorf. Calling Luke-Dorf to remedy this resulted in getting the runaround from whoever was on the phone. 5. Do not go to Luke-Dorf if you have trouble telling other people to leave you alone when you're anxious. The front desk staff will watch other patients loudly harass you while you are visibly trying to get away and do nothing about it. This happened every time I was there. tl;dr: Don't go to Luke-Dorf. They're terrible at what they do, don't respect their patients, and generally don't know how to run a proper mental health clinic.
