I totally did not realise how much exercise trampolining is until I got there. I also didn't know it can be soooo hard to bounce around! It's a good place for corporate Bonding, silly with friends, or even an adventurous date night. If you are keen to do some proper exercises, there's also dodge ball night comps too! Definitely worth a try! 4 stars and not 5 cause it can get really hot, and the drinks there are quite pricy.

Sky Zone is kind of like that...if it weren't for the staff enforcing the rules, there would definitely be a Lord of the Flies situation brewing here. At $18 an hour with socks it's pretty affordable, though their locker system really sucks. There's only one terminal for their 20+ lockers, and for whatever reason if someone checks out of their locker and you check in right after they check out, they will assign you that locker...so if that person shuts that locker right after you check in and are assigned that locker you're screwed and will need to get a staff member to unlock it, unless you don't mind losing $4. There are 4 primary zones to experience here, the trampoline zone where you can jump to your hearts desire (1 per square,) the basketball hoop zone (short and tall,) foam pit, and dodgeball. Foam pit was probably the most fun, assuming you don't have a horde of children in front of you...as it can take a minute to climb out of. Didn't get to experience dodgeball, as there was a horde of children in front... I would wear some athletic gear like DriFit as I totally did not expect to get such a workout from jumping...be prepared to sweat. Will definitely come back cause it was all in all a great time, even with the kids running the place.

The cafe is called Mickey's and has reasonably priced snacks. The coffee is nice with a complimentary bickie. It is easy to sit for over an hour while the kids just play. Finding the place and parking can be an issue but worth the effort

If you've read my other reviews, you'd know Hubby and I have had more than the average number of lessons, and we do go out on our own at home in San Diego, but we'd like to get a lesson at any new beach when available. And thank GOODNESS we did here on this particular day. The other two students both have surfed only once with a lesson before, and it seemed everyone loved the experience. Nick took the time to understand our abilities first, then assessed the surf and decided on the best spot for the easiest time paddling out. A bit of a work out just carrying the boards a good quarter mile down the beach. It was incredibly choppy that day, so he instructed us to paddle out right in the riptide, then cut across the sand bank to the line up. It all worked out beautifully, and I got some amazing waves with Nick giving me a push and telling me exactly when to pop up, even rode in on the super intimidating overhead ones I normally probably would be too scared to try. However, when I took a break on the beach, the second time paddling out was exponentially more difficult. Nick was able to push my board, with me on it, past these crazy waves, because I was about to turn around and give up. Another student had an emergency, and he was able to go help her, then come back and continue to push me past the breaking waves, so that I could get one more ride back to shore. I absolutely trust him to keep everyone safe and still make sure each person have a great time. Overall, probably top 2-3 surfing lesson across the 20+ we've had! Equipment was fairly new and in good shape. Changing facilities were basic but serviceable.

You just take the ferry (every 10-20 minutes) from Circular Quay by the opera house then walk ten minutes north east to manly beach from the ferry terminal at Manly.

The tennis club is located right opposite Hornsby Westfield, with the train station and bus stops nearby. I would train weekly at the academy and compete with other students at the club. There are plenty of tennis courts and snacks and drinks are available. With a small shop, customers can purchase balls, tennis rackets and other items. There is a changing room which is available for use and is convenient if you are going straight to work after your lesson. The owner Kim, is a six time grand slam champion, so you know the trainers are good! All the coaches we had were calm, professional and good players. Private lessons are available, but I cannot comment on pricing due to the fees paid by our school. Summer programs are also available. Their website has a list of pricing, which varies depending on the experience of the coach. For half an hour with Kim, it will cost you $45. Other coaches are $35 an hour. I did not feel my Niece was learning anything as they were just playing games. My Niece is 7 years old. I know kids should have fun, but this class was all about fun and games and had no real merit or value in terms of learning anything. I don't think Judo is good for kids, I noticed also with my friend who does judo that the practicioners get Cauliflower ears also, as there is lots of rubbing around the ears.

Courts are often available for private rent, even at quite short notice, and are competitively priced. Kids clinics are held throughout term time along with some fun camps at weekends - though the clubhouse facilities are far from salubrious if there's rain and they need to offer an alternative to on-court play. Adult clinics are flexible so you don't have to commit to being at every class every week by paying in advance - have a chat with them and they'll find a way to work around you. It's still not quite what I remember of tennis as a kid, when there was a multitude of options for playing socially and competitively, but I think that's more a reflection of the popularity of the sport at the moment than the quality and commitment of this club. Court surface is that funny grass with sand on top - can't remember what it's called but it's good in wet weather as it drains and dries quickly.

Home to 6 all-weather, synthetic grass (aka astro) courts - 5 of which are in blue and one was resurfaced in a "Wimbledon" look, in other words, it's now green - means that you can play tennis in any weather, which is great if it's hammering down and you MUST have a hit! They also have floodlights, so no more blaming the fading light for missing the ball. One weather aspect that can cause a few issues with my otherwise "flawless" game, is the wind that comes off the harbour! It can play havoc with a rally! Although not sure that's any excuse for it hitting the bottom of the net (especially when you're playing with the wind!). The centre runs all the usual kids courses and tuition sessions, so if you're looking for a bit of coaching, then this is another option! And now for the money bit: CASUAL HIRE Mon - Fri 7am to 5pm: $25 per hour Mon - Fri 5pm to 10pm: $30 per hour Sat, Sun, public holiday's all times: $30 per hour You can also permanently hire courts - I imagine that's useful if you've got a regular group of you who get together and play, not just because you have a deep desire to have your own tennis court. Bookings can be made online or over the phone, or you may just be able to turn up if you're playing during a week day, but I wouldn't risk it at the weekend!

It was not as a tennis coach as I wished, but it was close enough to the action, and kept me going back. Now-a-days, it's a great place to go for a quick game, if you remember to book in advance. Either that, or if you're or someone you know is learning, it's a great after-school style tennis training, with very capable coaches. Keep in mind that they have tennis camp style coaching during the school holidays, which is a great place for the kids to mingle with other likeminded tennis enthusiasts. Mums, they also have a great little cafe that sticks out the side of the tennis courts, perfect for a quick coffee or even a family sit down lunch onlooking into the park. They serve great coffee, and a healthy range of vegetarian options for breakfast.
