This time we saw The Mummy (2026) and They Will Kill You. With two screens, they usually offer a family-friendly lineup on one and thriller, horror, or action films on the other, so there's something for everyone. At $12 per adult for two movies, it's a great value. The concession stand has a solid variety, including made-to-order family-size pizza, bratwurst, mozzarella sticks, candy, and more. Audio is played through a designated radio station, so you can listen from your car. We usually bring a portable radio, but you can also rent one from the concession stand if needed. The Aut-O-Rama is clean, well-maintained, and even the restrooms are kept up nicely. It's tucked between the Ohio Turnpike and the Norfolk Southern railroad tracks on Lorain Road in North Ridgeville, which adds a bit of character to the experience. I can't say enough good things about this place. It's a true North Ridgeville classic and one we'll keep coming back to.

The food was amazing and so was the drink. (yes i stole my friend drink.) The theater was pretty clean and the service was amazing. My friend literally didnt pay for the ticket on accident. So when we went to order the food, the lady was like "wheres ur seat?" And of course my friend didnt have a "x" on the seat but she didnt charge any extra fees or anything for my friend. Instead she was so polite and gave us our food, not even questioning the fact my friend didnt pay for the seat‍. In addition to that, i was nervous since it was my first time going to the movies without a adult there with me. So i was nervous and accidentally gave her more money than intended. Instead of stealing my money, she just gave it back and told me the correct way to do it. I really appreciated her great service plus i feel like more workers are needed like her. Anywho i dont understand the stars this place have. I feel like it deserves around 4-4.5 stars.

Over 1.5 hours later, only 1 out of 4 orders had arrived. We ended up missing part of the movie just to walk out and ask what was going on, and staff's response was to tell us to call a 1-800 number for order status -- which is obviously not possible to do in the middle of a film. When the food finally did show up, most of it was cold, and my son's slushie never arrived at all. We spent about $160 and got a late, cold, incomplete order plus a movie we missed chunks of trying to sort it out. Really disappointing for the price point this theater charges, and the staff's response made it worse -- no urgency, no real accountability, just "call this number." Would not recommend ordering food here until they fix whatever's going on with their kitchen/delivery staffing.

I've come here several times since moving to Brunswick 3 years ago and the last couple experiences…read morehave left me thinking the place is going down hill. There are some really bad oversights that just make for a bad experience. You go to the the theater (and pay a lot of money to do so) for the experience and that oversight really took away from that. This was the second time they forgot to dim the lights when the movie started. The first time, they finally shut them off about 20 minutes in. This last time, we watched the entire movie with the lights on in a tiny theater with the seats all mislabeled (they had some digital system that confused everyone who came in the theater). During the previews, only the audio was playing. I asked someone to turn the lights off twice during the movie but it never happened. At the concessions, they were out of popcorn butter and two popular drink options at 7pm on a Saturday night. I could let these things slide normally but given the movie experience I think it just adds up to a theater that doesn't have its crap together anymore and isn't worth the money. It's sad because 'd rather support a local, independent theater but I can't throw my money away the one of the few nights I can get out and enjoy a movie w my family.

It is owned by the Northwest Neighborhoods CDC and operated by Cleveland Cinemas, which also operates other renovated movie theaters in the Cleveland area. The theater has three screening rooms, and so it's usually showing a rotation of three different films at a time. Sometimes they are new release blockbusters, sometimes they are new indie films, and other times they are old school films put on for a special event (like the screening of White Christmas I saw this past December). Compared to other larger movie theater complexes, Capitol Theatre is both more cozy and more affordable. On Mondays you can get tickets for $6, there are matinee prices for shows before 6 PM, and the highest ticket price you'll pay as an adult is $11.75 (compared to, for example, my Valley View Cinemark which is $13.50). Like other movie theaters, they have very comfortable reclined seating, you can order adult beverages, and the concession prices will make your eyes pop. My husband and I prioritize seeing movies here if we can - it's a gem of Cleveland and I hope it stays in operation for years to come. The people who work there are always warm and friendly, and clearly have a love of the theater.

I did actually…read morecome in mid-October 2023 with my friend Gabby so this review will detail that visit which was a special event before halloween weekend. HISTORY -- The Capitol Theatre in Gordon Square is an old cinema that turned 100 years old in 2021. It is charming inside the theatre where movies are shown with a decorative outside building sign. The upstairs where the bathrooms are (there are also bathrooms downstairs) is old and it looks like someone's living room in a house but the simple nature doesn't bother me. There are chairs upstairs where you can sit and eat some of your snacks while viewing old photos of people who were involved in the Capitol Theatre. SPECIAL EVENT (MOVIE MARATHON) -- Who knew a movie marathon was a thing? It sure is. I arrived on the 21st of October 2023 for the 12 hour scary movie marathon. YES, you read that write, 12 hours straight from 2pm to 2am. I wasn't going to go but I brought my friend with me and we made it a fun evening. I hadn't heard of most of the movies so the anticipation slowly built as I waited for the first movie to start. I didn't know what to expect. We both received complimentary tickets. Halfway through the movie marathon, the organizers served pizza to everyone which was included in the ticket. My favorite movie was Final Destination 2 and my least favourite were Slumber Party Massacre and Hereditary. Slumber Party was okay and somewhat funny because the antagonist or killer was hilarious; however, part of the movie was just annoying and it dragged. For Hereditary, I didn't like it because I don't like devilish or supernatural movies. I can't remember the names of the other movies, besides Cabin in the Woods, as I'm writing this review almost a month later but I posted some photos that has a partial list of the movies. FOOD -- I purchased popcorn (medium, I think) and some sweets (candy). Of course, the price was expensive but that is common at most cinemas. My friend also bought popcorn but she bought a soft drink too whereas I bought hot tea. I would love to come to another movie marathon next year, as it happens just once a year, but I don't know if I will make it because 12 hours straight is alot of time out of my schedule. I highly recommend this local movie theatre. **** - 87/150 total reviews in 2023 - 638 total overall Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 1 December 2023
