When we met with Jennifer, we appreciated how she took time to understand our vision, and even had some cardstock nearby to show us some options on Zoom. We ultimately hired her to create our Save the Dates and wedding invitations as she seemed personal and friendly. When I sent Jennifer inspiration for what we wanted our paper products to look like, she created an almost identical version of what we sent her. This could be perceived as a good thing as she created our vision, but at the same time I hired her so she could put her creative spin on it. Anyone can order invitations off of various websites, so I was surprised when she pretty much copied the inspiration almost exactly instead of making it her own while sticking to a theme. There were also a few times where it took several days for her to respond to emails. It would have been nice to receive an away message from her so I knew she would get back to us. Without an away message, working with her was stressful at times, especially with deadlines. One incident that rubbed me the wrong way was when I emailed Jennifer addresses for our Save the Dates, spoke with her on the phone about how to improve the etiquette (mainly the order of the names), and submitted the new list to print. Even after I spoke with her, the original list (before the edits) was printed. Luckily the addresses were correct, but I felt frustrated that the new list was not printed. I then realized that in the fine print the first list emailed is printed, so I take responsibility for not reading that closer. Regardless, it seemed strange to speak to me on the phone in the first place if the intention was never to print the updated list. Overall, I didn't completely trust that Jennifer would respond to my emails efficiently, and I therefore felt a bit on edge working with her, especially when it came to other paper products that had shorter and tighter deadlines. I think she means well, but I prefer to work with vendors that answer emails within 24 hours (excluding weekends/holidays) and put their creative spin on projects, especially since it costs more money to hire someone than do it yourself online. With all that said, I am grateful that Jennifer helped us stay within budget, and the paper products we received from her were of high quality. It's just too bad there was a rough journey to the destination.

She was more than willing to change the design to make it exactly what I wanted. She also gave me multiple designs to choose from before deciding which one would be the one for my wedding. The process was so easy and enjoyable with Dallas. It was really wonderful to have a completely unique design for my wedding. I could not be happier with how it all turned out. She also did a beautiful pencil drawing of my dress. I have that picture displayed in my home. It's a great way for me to enjoy my wedding everyday in my home. I'm so glad we didn't get generic invitations.

We didn't have a specific vision of what our stationery should look like and knew we'd want help creatively brainstorming our options. We didn't want our invites to look like anyone else's and we wanted them to really feel like us, while going with the theme of our wedding. During our first meeting, Sandy described herself as our "Wedding Paper Planner," meaning she would not only provide us with the design and physical product, but she would also help us stay on track with our timeline and provide thoughtful guidance about wording, instructions to guests, etc. We were surprised at how many factors there were to consider when doing things like addressing people using the correct titles, ways to word dress code or other expectations, even down to the instructions you give to the post office when mailing the invitations. It's a relief to not always feel the pressure of getting those things right or having to Google the information when we had Sandy as the expert to guide us. Sandy persistently kept us on track while patiently navigating our requests for revisions and new ideas, and was very transparent about cost-related decisions, so we always felt like we were making informed choices. We knew we wanted the stationery to be something that people actually wanted to put on their fridge, and we knew that it set the tone for the celebration for our guests, but we didn't want to feel like we had to go overboard with spending in order to set that tone. In helping us make the most impactful decisions for our budget, we were still able to make responsible choices while always including a wow-factor for our guests. Our Save-the-Dates arrived in a purple glitter envelope that everyone could not stop talking about, which was so fun for us! Feeling the guests' excitement added to our excitement. Even though our wedding is over, we've noticed both our Save-the-Date and invitation are still on a lot of our friends' fridges! When you're planning a wedding, it's easy to fall into the trap of assuming that you'll be able to do it yourself or that online cheaper tools might be easier or faster, but there's so much to think about. When you think about each choice on its own, they may seem DIY-able, but when you start putting everything together, it can get overwhelming without support. No amount of internet stationery checklists and tools can replace the talent and support of a professional like Sandy. We are so happy we worked with her for our wedding!

She even did research on local printers in my area so I could see the paper we were going to use in person! I think my favorite thing happened when I went to pick up the invitations and the printer had ordered the wrong paper. They told me they were sorry and they would have the correct paper after the weekend. I was willing to let it happen but Mary said No! She called the printers immediately and after a professional yet seriously determined conversation, I had the correct paper by that same afternoon. Let me tell you this man is talented. I am not artistic at all. I just simply told him what kind of wedding I was having and showed him a few pics of other invitations that I liked, and BAM, he created a look for me. I know, the words "weddings" and "stress-free" aren't often in the same sentence (unless you put the word "aren't" between the two), but with Karen and Kito Creative, it really was the case! If you're having *any* doubts, let me assure you: as a perfectionist who wanted control over every little detail of her wedding, giving my trust to Karen was easy to do as she demonstrated how hard-working, timely, and graciously professional she was throughout. Her emails never skipped a beat and she made herself available whenever we needed to consult her. A few physical samples, color swatches, and snapshots of her ideas were shared before finalizing designs which helped me decide and be truly confident in the decisions made. You can really tell the thoughtfulness she put into each design iteration, which I really appreciated and was delighted by. Overall, Karen was able to create order from my seemingly chaotic "visions" and pitch ideas that were so visually-appealing, on-brand for the aesthetic I was aiming for, and more importantly, it felt personalized and oh-so-ME*!
