I have worked as a corrections officer, while living here. I went to collect unemployment, and was told that I need to collect from massachusetts! Massachusetts unemployment is absolutely ridiculous and that's using nice words! Their excuse why my claim is late, is because they don't have enough people to work. Here it is December 15 t h, and still no unemployment check. They owe me 5 weeks at $226.00 a week! I called the governor's office of massachusetts! They told me, they would get a hold of the unemployment office, and I would get a call from the unemployment within 3 to 5 days. That didn't happen! Basically everything is in limbo until they decide to do their job. Massachusetts unemployment you should be shame of yourself for making people go without paying their rent because of your negligence. I feel really bad for the people that have children, and depend on this money to feed their children! What's really upsetting, is the fact they don't care that people are in need of the money they've already put into the system! They get their pay every week, so they're not worried about the claimants! They don't even have a supervisor that will talk to you and explain, what's taking so long. They don't give you a time frame that you could expect your unemployment! I thought it was only supposed to take up to 22 days! I was approved on November 2nd still no luck! It says that I have earnings of $6000.00, and can collect up to 23 weeks! Why is it so hard to have an adjuster look at this and approve it! I think they do this, to make people, honestly to decide to give up, so they don't have to pay out unemployment! I feel it's important that we let people know what's going on out there with unemployment! My friends have had the same issues for years with unemployment in Massachusetts!! Something needs to change with this government!!

It wasn't easy, but she stayed calm, clear, and respectful. She held the room together. When I got to the window, the woman who helped me was gracious, efficient, and genuinely pleasant. No friction, no confusion, just clear help, quickly. You never count on easy, but this was. If you need to replace a Social Security card or get a hard copy, this is the office to go to. And as a bonus, New England Coffee is right around the corner.

Space wise in this office isn't really as big just like 9 computers with employees. Some of them are empty and it's depends on how fast each transaction is with each person they are dealing with. I waited like probably less than or almost an hour for mine and the transaction is pretty straight forward so it only took me like 10 mins max and I was able to leave the place. Bathrooms are outside the office towards the right side.

The jury waiting room is pleasant and comfortable, it's nicely appointed, quiet, warm, and separate bathrooms for the jurors. Chairs are comfortable as well and the person greeting us was very nice. Overall it's been a pleasant experience. I dinged them one star for no public WiFi and the virtual strip search at the entrance.
