I got what I needed but it's very crowded and small spaces for seating. Make sure you bring something to do. Could be a little cleaner

The people are friendly, the housing prices more reasonable than where we were up north and downtown Summerville has cute shops, good restaurants and community events we love to attend. For us it was the perfect spot for relocation.

The restaurant scene has exploded and many of the popular restaurants that were once downtown have built/added Summerville locations (Halls Chop House, Poughan's Southern Kitchen.) The area is a nice suburb that seems primarily filled with growing families and retirees. I don't feel there is a lot to do necessarily but if coffee shops, eating out, shopping, spa treatments happy hours are your thing it's not too bad. It feels safe which is important and property value has soared due to the growth in the area :) $$$$ There are some hidden spots that are interesting like the small art gallery downtown, a couple of wine bars ect. Overall, it's a growing area that is really nice but getting to the point of being overcrowded.

The roads here are excellent, with synced traffic lights and an access/frontage road that helps with traffic along Hwy 17. Mt. Pleasant has a dedicated Farmer's Market space and holds markets every Tuesday. If you're looking for something to do on Friday nights, there are often concerts and "Party in the Park" events. Happy Hour on Shem Creek or at one of the many restaurants is a great way to spend time, especially at restaurants on the water. Besides that you're super close to two beautiful beaches- Isle of Palms and Sullivan's Island. Charleston's only one bridge away, and if you're into the more rural and rustic scene, you're not TOO far from the Francis Marion Forest. Growing up somewhat close to the area, I've seen Mt. Pleasant thrive in the last 20-25 years. I remember when Towne Center was built in the late 1990s and people wondered who would ever drive that far north to go to the mall. I also remember the "old" Wando high school. A lot has changed over the years, but MTP is a booming place to be!

I truly enjoy the fact that I don't have to spend 45 minutes to an hour driving to work. Parks throughout Charleston and MP leave allot to be desired and considering the amount of taxes we pay doesn't make sense. Street lighting is another failure by the city. The Waste Management department in MP is subpar. What I enjoy about MP is the shopping. MP has the shops I was used to in my previous city and has allot of upscale grocery stores spread throughout the city. The food scene has definitely improved since just year and will be even better in the coming years

The city named after an entire column of beer, what's not to love. Better than the Maryland version, but not as thrilling as the nation, by any stretch of the Emoji-Nation. Columbia was always pretty amazing for playing music concerts. I'm not sure why, but the city took to me and I took to them - and I love coming back here. I still have some friends in the area from playing music shows here. I'll always include Columbia on my tours because of that. I guess a lot of people skip over it but I never will. It's a big city and it deserves the attention that I gave it and I appreciate it all the attention that they gave me. They're full of college kids now, some of which are good looking, but there is a caveat - which is that it doesn't seem as friendly as it used to. I got a little bit of ridicule here and there in town, and that's okay cuz there are a lot of nice people here as well and that can happen anywhere and it was the middle of the March Madness so maybe that's why - but it definitely seems like it changed and is way more busy and congested that it ever was when I used to come here. It was a sleepy little city and now it's packedlikesardines little city. I guess it was always busy but not like this. I still really love Columbia because of the music days and I always will, but I hope that my next trip will be as wonderful as some of the older trips were. I've had so many wonderful experiences in Columbia South Carolina concerts. I've yet to actually enjoy a really good meal here (other than the tacos I'm about to mention), or find any good Boba or desserts, but on the way out of town or into town you mussssst go to Tacos Nayarit for some of the best Mexican food anywhere - so that's where I suggest you eat. All in all, it's a wonderful town with a lot of friendly people and a huge college presence, cheering for the naughtily named Gamecocks, who always say they're a bigger deal than they turn out to be.

We are not too big and not too small and in my humble opinion a upcoming city that has a lots of opportunity for entrepreneurs and small businesses. The craft beer scene will soon rival other cities in a few years hopefully with several new additions coming soon. If you know where to look there are many resturants and shops off of international Blvd known or called Decker that have flavors and smells that smack you in the face with goodness the moment you walk in the door. If your new to my city ask around and you will find awesome spots for live music and entertainment. Today I will visit a high end bakery then hit are Soda City market for fresh olive oils and honey and probably sample new food trucks and vendors that have delicious food. After that I'm going to eat lunch at War Mouth a new upscale Southren place that features great drinks and curried quail and local fish. Then to Craft and Draft for are Soda City Suds week to raise money for it and a 5.00 bottle share at the hottest spot on Devine street. This is but a few things Columbia has to offer besides our wonderful history and different cultures. I look forward to see everyone's pictures of Columbia and thoughts of my beloved city.

Then I moved here for a bit, wove myself deeper into the fabric of the society and now can offer a more educated opinion. Restaurants and bars have never left me disappointed from a social or a monetary perspective. The people have always been sincere and straight shooters, they accepted my big presence which at times can be a bit much to take. The parks and open spaces are well kept and treated with care, minus the Canadian Geese's doings around some ponds and the creek itself. Reasonable golf prices on the courses I've played, each course uniquely different and challenging. Excellent food shopping options, all with outstanding selections and reasonable prices. Roads flow well with cars, although most everyone seems to be towing or hauling something. The CSX trains that run along Goose Creek Blvd are always a treat for me, I love the entire experience from approach to passing. It's a fine town to live in.
