I said i just need to cancel my app. While still not making eye contact he shortly replies again we are closed. So i asked when does it reopen. He said curtly not till 9 am. I sometimes go to this out of the way branch and there's sometimes no waiting at all. There is if you get there on the right day at the right time. Like with any other government agency it can all be in the timing. Everyone here is polite and helpful. Maybe it's because there's no cranky customers that have waited all day and direct their anger towards the cashier. So far it has always been a pleasant experience. keep in mind though the customer has to make sure they have all the correct paperwork. Be prepared or you will know what happens. ;)

I had dazed out and when pulling me over, i had been the saved 65 yr old comas strokes and issues, but i am washed in the blood of the lamb...blessed that he was able to see me, he saved my life. I didn't feel like I was speeding but sure enough there was a lady police officer standing in the street and flagged me over, pulled me into the Remax real estate office parking lot. I felt sick as I remember belatedly, that the speed limit was 25mph!!..which had surprised me one day when I noticed how low it was...ANYHOW. This lady police officer, I think her name was Rodriguez...stood on the passenger side of my truck and I gently reached for my registration/insurance above my sun visor and then looked at her and said "I am getting my drivers license out of my left front pocket"..and she thought I said "I was HOT"..which meant I had a gun....instead of getting ALL EXCITED..like some cops on YouTube, she calmly said "if you are carrying its no BIG DEAL, I would just ask you to stand out of the car"..just like that...no PANIC...." Imagine that..? And she took my license calmly as Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry, said politely "give me a moment please" and went into her cruiser...checked me out. Reminded me that the speed fine for 36 mph in a 25mph was $200 some odd Bucks!!! Wished me well,....smiled broadly and pulled the next guy over....she let me go!!! So, what is my point? WE NEED MORE police officers like this!!! Thanks so much for doing a stand up professional job, reminding me of the law, being polite and earning my RESPECT.

This was the best DMV experience my husband and I have ever had! They move quickly and got…read moreeverything taken care of that we needed. Though the line was long, we were in and out in no time. We were told to get there at 7:30 in the morning, but we ended up getting there closer to 9:00 and it wasn't an issue. We were probably in and out under an hour. The only reason this is a four star instead of a five star is because they have a bizarre musical chair system during Covid. Instead of a line with six foot delineated marks on the floor, you move from chair to chair where another person was sitting and no wiping down in between. It seems less sanitary, but I guess some appreciate the chairs. We mostly stood, because often moments after sitting, you were up moving to the next chair, they were that efficient. Our first trip was to get our driver's licenses. We just got married, so I had our marriage certificate for my name change, and we both had our birth certificates. Fortunately, I also happened to have my divorce decree, though I had a driver's license from our previous state with my new last name. My husband also was previously divorced.. why don't men have to prove it? Anyway, Kayla was amazing and took care of everything. We made sure to let her supervisor know! Second time was car registration for both of us. This is also a reason for four stars and not five. The person helping us walked to the supervisor station and where people were standing around chatting about a television show for several minutes. When she came back she said she had a copy of our marriage certificate and she said she had to get an exception as the title of my car was in a different last name, but my marriage certificate was on file. I told her that I brought my marriage certificate, but she hadn't asked. She rolled her eyes, but was otherwise efficient... Not as friendly as Kayla, but hey, I was there for efficiency. Other low score as we asked for both of our names on both of the vehicles. When we got the new titles in the mail it only had one name on each. This is the second time I had gone to this library in Ocala. This time I went and payed close…read moreattention to everything and really enjoyed my visit thoroughly.I will be going back more often. Everyone was delightful and the atmosphere was pleasant leaving you with a very positive vibe. There were people of all ages doing their thing from toddlers with their parents enjoying the children's room. Some going into the meeting room for a conference and there was a room where they sold books for a a dollar or two or even less! There was a table with little baby plants to take one for free. There is a computer room, and private rooms that I think you can call and reserve and sit in complete quite. There is a genealogy room, a room for young adults and so much more. They have a monthly calendar with activities and events. You can take out 100 books at a time and keep them for 3 weeks. If you want to keep something longer and it is not needed by someone else you can sometimes keep it longer just call or request it online. You can also go online and request books from other libraries and they will see what they can do to try and find a book for you. They have a seed program to help you grow plants indoors if you need. They have a blood pressure monitor program that you can ask about too. This library and its programs care about the community and you. If you need a motorized scooter these they have a few for you to use while there. Marion County library is a wonderful library and makes you feel at home you should visit them soon.
