When we walked through the double doors into the service area, there is a little kiosk with gift cards. There is a variety of colorful packaging for the holidays. There is a glass wall showing the current stamps for sale. Out in the lobby, things look almost the same as I remember from childhood. The long rows of mail boxes, the candy machine at the South end. I think there were bathrooms down there, but I can't remember, because I didn't walk all the way down there since I was with mom. It was a blast from the past, going in there, except I'm a lot taller and a lot older!

Today around 1:30 PM, I witnessed a wreck in Enid and was trying to follow an officer's directions…read moreas he attempted to direct traffic. Unfortunately, the officer seemed confused and unclear with his instructions, waving his arm to the right, which I interpreted as a signal to pull right. When I did so, the officer immediately became irate, yelling and screaming at me, and even asked if I was "fucking ignorant." He then told me to "put the car in reverse and back the F up." This level of unprofessionalism and aggression was completely unnecessary, especially given that I was only trying to comply with his directions. I attempted to contact the Enid Police Department to speak with the sergeant in charge, but was told there was nothing they could do for me and that if I wanted to make a statement, I would have to come in person. By that time, I was already out of town in Perry, Oklahoma. I requested a call from the Chief of Police to discuss this officer's behavior, as I believe it was completely out of line and escalated a simple situation. This officer clearly needs better training on how to handle stressful situations and interact with the public respectfully. Experiences like this are exactly why people have such negative perceptions of law enforcement in Enid. Officers are not above the law, and there is no excuse for treating members of the public with such hostility and disrespect. I sincerely hope the Enid Police Department takes this feedback seriously and works to improve the way their officers interact with the community. **Do better. Be better.**

Some copies of things are free while others require a small fee. The jail sits at the very top of the courthouse, but I'm not sure if the windows up there are accessible to the people in jail.

It is a busy hub of the community, serving the city for the duration of the city. Inside, there are murals on the walls, snack machines, boxes to rent for mail, packaging, tape, cards, whatever you need to mail your items.

The new 22nd Century flex....access any and all information for FREE. Knowledge should NOT be behind a paywall of any sort. The library is the one place where everyone is welcome, the library holds the line for equitable access to everyone. Our library has 3-d printers where you can print stuff for yourself. Knowledge is power...Libraries bring that to the masses. I dare you to find a better library than Enid Public Library...I'll wait.

This place has been here forever, it seems like. Very little has been done to it throughout the…read moreyears. It has a homey atmosphere. Plenty of books, maps, periodicals, and other things to peruse and check out. Upstairs, there are meeting rooms. You can take the stairs or elevator. Downstairs, if you take a left inside the doors, there is an almost constant book sale going on, hosted by the Friends of the Library. Proceeds go to library related things. Over in the Northwest corner, there are a few rooms you can read and study in. The Northeast corner gas items to keep toddlers busy, in addition to the books. Toddler toys used to be on the West wall. Other than shuffling things around now and then, the library still remains its friendly, inviting atmosphere. I have my library card. Do you?
