It is difficult to ignore the fact that there are consistently multiple vehicles with Illinois plates parked along Homan Avenue and Park Place without consequence, yet certain people and vehicles appear to attract repeated attention. At some point, it stops looking like coincidence and starts looking like a pattern. The purpose of law enforcement is to uphold the law impartially, not to enforce it based on convenience or personal discretion. When similar situations produce completely different outcomes depending on who is involved, it raises legitimate questions about fairness, consistency, and accountability. Public trust is not built through selective policing. It is built by applying the same standards to everyone. Equally concerning is the attitude displayed during some of these interactions. There is a noticeable difference between carrying oneself with professionalism and treating routine encounters as opportunities to remind people who has the badge. Authority is meant to protect the public, not to satisfy an ego. When officers become more interested in exercising power than exercising sound judgment, they undermine the very respect they expect from the community. The Hammond Police Department would be better served by focusing less on repeatedly scrutinizing the same individuals and more on demonstrating that the law is applied evenly regardless of who is parked where or what license plate is on a vehicle. Respect cannot be demanded simply because a uniform is worn. It is earned through integrity, consistency, and restraint. The community deserves policing that is fair, objective, and free from the appearance of personal bias. Until that standard is consistently met, many residents will continue to question whether they are being protected or simply being targeted.

This is worse police emergency call we had and they didn't help. So I hopefully be glad report those bad services and that officer so off his duty. Be glad report them and see it on court.

There's nothing more you can ask or expect of this place. I only hope they can keep it up because this place is a true gem! I came here for an event thinking the food has got to be expensive. Boy was I wrong! They had a 2 hot dog special, with two bags of chips, and two drinks for $8! what an absolute steal! I couldn't believe it with my own eyes I honestly had to do a double take. It really was $8. Oh get this, they were also jumbo dogs on the buns which is just unreal. My friend and I were blown away by how cheap the food was as well as our insatiable appetite. We ended up getting a salted pretzel with cheese and they're loaded nachos. The pretzel was a standard pretzel, what more could you ask for $3 with cheese. On the other hand, those nachos were delicious. They were your typical movie nachos with beef on top almost a mountain to be honest. Plus there was sour cream and I got two healthy packs of jalapenos to put on them. Yum! I can't remember for the life of me if there was cheese on them or not but I do not recall. I should've and will next time add cheese to it because I'm that extra. I mean, for me, cheese belongs on everything. All in all, my experience at the Hammond Sports Complex was nothing short of amazing. It was a lot of fun!

Stolen while our son was playing a game while their bags sat behind them. Us parents questioned why the other team was standing there, but didn't think they would steal. Won't recommend this place to other teams and def won't be back.
