We have never been robbed, which I can totally take care of myself. We have never had any interaction at all with Napa police. So why am I writing a review then? Well I am typically a very observant person and over the years I have seen them pull over cars that are blatantly disrespecting the law. I have also seen them let people slide when it seems appropriate, from my view. I have seen them show great restraint during multiple protests where I would be throwing people in jail for gross misconduct. Very commendable for dealing with people who are just baiting the police all the time, with cameras rolling. It is nice to see NPD cars rolling through town keeping us safe. Not so much in Alameda county. Actually not at all, i.e. Oakland!!! I am sure NPD takes care of all kinds of issues most people never see, nor are ever aware of, in order to keep the streets safe. I don't know why anyone would want to be a police officer in these recent upside down times, but I am extremely happy that the men and women of the Napa police force are still here. I have yet to hear any crazy talk about defunding the police in Napa, and will be very disappointed if I do. Napa, please don't cave to the insane radical left. Napa is our, and many people's retreat to some sanity from the craziness of many surrounding cities, i.e. Oakland.

The rules are simple you visit the shelter, you see a dog or cat that you interested in, you put in an application only for that particular animal. You have a meet and greet with put a deposit down. They will contact you once you are approved. Our dog is already chipped and neutered and they sent us away with a little food and a free veterinarian exam. So we have an appointment to establish a local veterinarian. The place is well run, the staff is nice, and the animals are well cared for. I would recommend checking them out. They have stat sheets on all the animals.

Finding this here in Napa was already exciting, and then it turned out to be a weirdly cool, positive experience. The door closes like an elevator. Music plays. You're issued a ten-minute limit for your business at hand. Clear instructions are provided. Way to go, Napa. This was an unexpected high point of our trip (not really because of the bathroom part but because it's nice to see other cities getting it right).

Later the delivery man found it while I was trying to ring it the next day, and told me it was hiding in one of the postal boxes. The phone was also turned off so I could not track it. When I later turned it on, it was at 30% so it didn't die. BEWARE of this post office. It is completely worth going somewhere else and taking a couple minutes of your time to keep yourself and your belongings safe.
