Wasn't sure what to expect. Need to speak with Social Security representatives and was directed to the Provo location. Because they will soon be moving this office, there was some confusion as to where they were actually located, but I managed to find my way to the current office. At the time of my visit, masks were still required, which was not a big deal for me, and if someone didn't have a mask, the office provided them. Security greeted me and was most helpful in instructing me on how to check-in as I said in the waiting area looking at the number of bored waiting for my number to be called. I realised that it was out of service. Someone from behind a wall was shouting out numbers, so when mine was called, I proceeded down the corridor of a dismal, dismally, painted hallway which resembled every law show jail visiting area I think I've ever seen. I took a seat at the station. I was a sign two and a very nice gentleman greeted me and we joked for a minute about the drab paint scheme. In a matter of less than 15 minutes, my questions were answered, my Social Security card issues addressed and I was off to run my other Erin's for the day. For me, great experience.

They lost my new social security card. The worker said to "talk to my mailman" to see if he saw it. Very frustrated at the snail mail.

But when Utah all the counts with the same brush then you assume they are all County. It could be worse. I could have forgotten the "o" in County. Although it's not very diverse, Utah is very beautiful and unspoiled, and it's a lovely and surreal area to visit, located herre up in the mountains, a gorgeous and populated gem after hundreds of miles of wilderness in any direction. It's sort of a miracle when you come across this Valley with a bunch of people living here, by Utah standards it may as well be Los Angeles. It's very beautiful and very much worth a visit. And unlike anywhere else in the country really, despite having some things in common with its neighbours such as Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming and Arizona.

Utah county has it all; industry, technology, culture, family oriented, safe, tourism galore, beauty at every turn. Cities are mostly ran well, government is not as corrupt as elsewhere and politicians are often your neighbors. Where else can you drive for 1 hour and be in salt flats, desert, sand dunes, mountains and lakes, fishing, hunting, etc. Add in the year round warm weather and golfing down south, ice fishing and skiing up north with beautiful, full seasons... really, no where else has all that. Government is ran efficiently as any government can be. They have been effective at bringing in huge business and I think good at keeping a budget. A great place to live by any standard.

I had the absolute pleasure, privilege, and joy of watching my son get married in this beautiful…read morehistoric courthouse this past summer! It was a perfect, elegant venue and the staff involved made a typically stressful situation seamless and so easy. A courthouse has been at this location in one form or another since the first one was built in 1866, then a second larger one in 1872, leading to the most current neoclassical Greek style building you see today - built in the 1920s. It's massive and opulent - full of marble, statues, balconies, chandeliers, and art deco stained glass! It's well worth a stop if you're exploring the area - even if you aren't part of a wedding. About a month prior to this, my son and his then-fiancé decided to cancel all their original plans, do something much smaller, and they moved up the wedding date by several months - so we were all scrambling to pull this off inside of a month to say the least lol. I had to help the kiddos plan everything out last minute - which would've been chaos except I found this beautiful venue pretty easily by doing a google search of historic courthouses in the area. And it was even easier after that bc they have an online appointment booking system for marriage licenses and wedding ceremonies. In less than one week we had appointments booked and all the basic plans made! The kids were able to get the license easily and effortlessly - what a relief. The day of the ceremony we showed up and waited in line for less than 10 mins. Bc we originally were going to use their officiant, we had a scheduled appointment for their ceremony room etc. But bc my now-DIL was having her ordained uncle perform their vows, we didn't need the ceremony appointment after all and were free to perform the ceremony anywhere we wanted. We absolutely loved the interior of the main courthouse and asked if we could have it in there without an appointment etc. Since our party was pretty small (there were 14 of us), they happily gave us permission as long as we kept the noise level reasonable bc there are offices inside with employees etc. And there were no fees for holding it there so that was a nice bonus. Everyone we encountered inside the building was friendly and helpful and we had the place to ourselves the whole ceremony! It ended up being such an incredible ceremony and experience - better than we ever could've expected. The staff were also very obliging in regard to the photography - I made sure to bring my camera of course lol! Getting to photograph my son's wedding made it that much more special. It's the only time I've ever photographed humans haha!! And likely the only time I ever will lol! The grounds are beautifully manicured and make for some excellent photo ops as well - especially with all the mountains in the background. There's plenty of free parking surrounding the buildings and it's all flat and very walkable. Huge Ty to all the staff at the courthouse for helping to make our big day so special!

It has a historic, palatial feel as everything is glossy and new with an old-timey style. The outside of the building has a traditional neo-classical courthouse design complete with marble pillars and carved fresco at the top. The marble stairs leading up to the main entrance are also impressive and clearly made by hand. Inside, there are offices for community organizations, as well as the American Legion on the top floor and second floor, with a few courtrooms on the bottom floor. There is also a marble statue on the main floor. It appears that the courthouse also serves as a community space. We stopped by during the Freedom Festival on the 4th of July and they had an art exhibition on the main floor. Everything was super clean and it was clear that everyone respected the space. Overall this is a neat stop to make if you are in Provo on a trip or looking for a short and interesting activity. Five stars!

He did not know how to answer my question he beat around the bush and told me again listen for my number. That'll be my time. I think this is really poor customer service he needs to be present and hear what we are asking. He is so disconnected with human connection. I ended up getting a text saying I'd be called in five minutes so the fact that he didn't know that that is an option blows my mind I did get called within five minutes. I had heather help me and she has five star customer service she should be recognized for her politeness and her ability to know her job and answer every question that I had She definitely is a role model for what Brian should reach for.

I don't believe you're as good as you say you are... you're going to have to Provo yourself to me…read more Provo is one of the nicer areas the valley where most of the people who live in Utah live. You have beautiful mountains on both sides and the Foothills are beginning just to the south of here - thus starts the wilderness of the Rockies. So Provo is a gateway both to wilderness and also to urban madness, Utah style (which isn't very mad and some might say isn't even very urban). It's a very ethnically homogeneous area, mostly caucasian and biblical AF, but it's also nice and well kept with some good stuff to check out when you're down here. I wish it was more liberal though, like Colorado. It's very not. SLC and Murray are in the "10 liberal cities of Utah" - Provo is nowhere near that list.
