I have heard horrible racist comments, kids telling each other repeatedly to kill themselves, cussing non stop, physical fights IN HER OFFICE IN FRONT OF HER, kids calling other kids "retarded" and "gay", talk about drugs and drug court, a kid wearing a shirt that promotes marijuana, Jessica and her male assistant having conversations about their own personal dating relationships to teenage girls. Very very very inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. The bathrooms have not been cleaned in the 2 weeks of our daily patronage. It went without soap and toilet paper in the female bathroom for 2 days until I personally got fed up and told one of the front desk people. It took over an hour for them to replenish. There is overflowing used feminine products in the bathroom that has been there the entire 2 weeks. Homeless people use the facilities all the time, which is not a problem, but it needs to be cleaned and sanitized. I even offered to volunteer to clean for them and Jessica completely ignored my offer. There is food mess all over. And some very sketchy people that probably shouldn't be within a certain amount of feet from children. So disappointed. This library has a lot of potential, if they put someone appropriate and professional in charge.

NMT offers a quality education at a reasonable price…read more Not only did I learn from classes, but it is pretty easy to find a job on campus, often in your own field. That is really a great way to learn and leave with experience in your field. The school is not very large, which means that you get to know your professors and they get to know you. It is a real hands on experience for everyone. The campus is nicely landscaped. The buildings are pretty well maintained. There is an atmosphere of history, learning, and fun!

Not a normal college campus. The academics are harder than other universities but I hear if they can make it here they can make it any where. I prefer the campus to the south. Go Aggies! But I am proud my daughter chose this school she is happy. Great thing for females there are many more males than females. Less drama. The food on campus however is another story. Check out a wonderful review by someone with a great sense of humor at Chartwells. That is the only draw back to this campus. I am looking for a room for my daughter off campus so hopefully she can eat real food that doesn't make her sick.

On Friday's they have kids activities at 1 pm and movies at 3. I will say we don't go to the movies because they are all 50s based and actually bore the kids. Like Kurt Russel in the Computer wore Tennis Shoes. 5 yr kids just don't understand why computers were so big and why he spoke "funny". Just too old fashioned. Would be better to do a Disney free movie day if it must be older pick things like Swiss family Robinson or old Yeller (tho that one is super sad) or just do good but less popular cartoon movies or movies like the old escape from witch mountains. 1940s movies are pushing it for today's kids. But hey at least they offer it!! My 5 yr old and 11 yr old love the activities. They've built robotic legos and had scavenger hunts and another Friday multiple tables with slime and kinetic sand and clay that was mixed with shaving cream. All in all a great small town library with an entire section for children. Very well done.

We visited Gran Quivira while passing through the area. I had never heard of the Salinas Pueblo…read moreMissions and didn't know much about it. In researching it, I got the impression all 3 sites were comparable. Unfortunately having visited Gran Quivira and seeing the pictures at the park headquarters, I think the other 2 sites were better. The have larger structures still standing. Gran Quivira may be the largest of the three, but outside of the main church, there's not much left. The ruins tend to be pretty low and largely overgrown. The main church has walls maybe 15 feet tall made with local stone. This site has not just ruins of the mission, but also of a village that sprouted up around it. We walked around it and saw it in maybe 30 minutes or less; would have been less if we'd used the ramp but it was closed due to the possibility of lightning. Gran Quivira was alright, but I'd check out Abo or Quarai instead if you get the chance. The fact that we saw the impressive ruins at Chaco Culture NHP the day before may have left me less impressed. Check these out if passing through, but I wouldn't go out of my was to see Gran Quivira.

It was amazing, our tour guide Gayle, was outstanding...so well informed and was able to relate the history and lifestyle on the pueblo. We all enjoyed the visit. Many vendors offer local goods and artworks. I highly recommend look for Gayle as your tour guide.
