I had a disappointing experience with SofloChefs when I decided to cancel an event within the designated timeframe, as per our contract. Despite following the proper procedures, SofloChefs not only refused to refund my deposit but also ceased all communication once the refund was requested. It's worth noting that our contract clearly stipulates a full refund of the deposit if the cancellation occurs within 30 days of the event. Frustrated with the lack of response, I had to resort to disputing the charge with my credit card company. Fortunately, I succeeded in the dispute, and the credit card company refunded my deposit. Regrettably, based on this unsatisfactory encounter and the apparent deviation from our contract, I cannot recommend SofloChefs to others. Update: In response to the owner's reply. My experience with Soflo chefs was out of this world! The staff are very professional, friendly, and timely. We booked them for a bachelorette party and ordered the 6 passed apps and cocktails package. Chef Stephanie and Norma did a great job at curating the cocktails and tailoring them to what we liked. I hired David for a private birthday dinner at home based on his quick and detailed response to my initial inquiry, efficient menu proposal and reasonable charge. He showed up on time and prepared amazing multi course meal for us and his co-chef and they served us restaurant style and cleaned everything afterwards. From the minute I reached out to him via yelp, he was professional, prompt, courteous and answered all my questions right away. They arrived to our Airbnb right on time. Eddie started making us incredible mojitos. While we had cocktails and laughed together, the rest of the team were hard at work making us our dinner. And they set up our dinner table beautifully! Started with amazing appetizers- ceviche, crab cakes, prosciutto and mozzarella...then the entrees! Lobster tails, beef tenderloin, salmon, chicken and rice....one thing was better than the next and the service was incredible. Chef also had his pastry chef make a delicious buttercream cake, topped with hilarious bachelorette themed trinkets. Their clean up made our kitchen spotless. They were an absolute joy and I wish we could hire them in NYC. I will absolutely hire them again when in Miami next.
