I am here to testify that we have a very hospitable carry-out and catering operation amidst our homes. In the past two weeks I have had fully prepared dinners from here that were simply perfect for a quick warm-up at home. They included Grilled Wahoo accompanied by yellow rice in a low-salt chicken stock and medley of grilled zucchini, onion and squash. On another night I had lovely pork loin with broccoli and my companion enjoyed her delicious Baby Back ribs paired with mac n' cheese and campfire-tasty baked beans. They offer two dinner options nightly and conveniently prepare the menu's a month in advance. Call them and they will be happy to fax or deliver it with their meal delivery service. For the lunch crowd try the BBQ or the Steak and Cheese on grilled-bread. Veggie-eaters can enjoy various salads or veggies and rice and for Gluten-Intolerant diner's Mom (the owner) whipped up a delicious fresh grilled chicken breast over an equally sumptuous (and freshly-prepared) veggie salad for a guest of mine. The fries were crispy but not "seasoned" the eggroll shell wasn't as fresh as I expected. It tasted like it was a day old. The chicken was somewhat seasoned it lacked cheese for the cheese-pull. The strawberry lemonade though was 100000% not too sweet not too tangy. There's only one size and it's definitely shareable. This is one of those, I tried it and that's it kind of experience.

However, we were sorely disappointed with the catering experience that followed. I don't like to write negative reviews and will do my best to be balanced. Overall the reception food was good, though some items bland or over baked & the meat portions small compared to what we had sampled. The sliced beef was as tender & delicious as ever. All got eaten quickly, except for some salad & rice, even though the servers controlled portions by spooning food onto each guest's plate. It made me glad we paid for 5 adults who didn't come, or some would have gone hungry! We paid for 5 servers. Only 4 came. Apparently Cathy would have been the 5th, but she cut her finger earlier that week & chose not to come. By contract, they were to serve "a separate tray of apps for wedding party." By the time I noticed they failed to do so, only 1 of 2 appetizers was left. Incidentally, if 1 appetizer ran out so quickly, I suspect the portion allotted per person was scanty. We contracted for 2 separate buffet lines so our 130+ guests could be fed quickly. Her staff set up only 1. I objected, but Cathy only sent enough chafers for them to do a single line! So all were served at half the anticipated pace & the entire evening's schedule delayed as a result. By contract the caterer should bus tables and clean up all areas utilized, yet the venue owner had never seen her place left such a mess. She called them back from the parking lot to do additional cleanup. Even so, trash remained on tables & the cake cutting area was left a mess of crumbs. Four days later, I emailed Cathy describing these issues & others regarding slow and poor service that I don't have space to mention here, & requested a refund for the server who didn't show. She apologized profusely for the way things went & mailed a refund for the 5th server plus an additional sum that amounted to about 2% of the total bill. I suppose this was meant to compensate for not meeting the terms of the contract.

My wife and I both had the Breakfast Special "Eggle", which was an Egg, Meat and Cheese on a bagel. We chose bacon, though my wife skipped the cheese. My Everything bagel that I selected was particularly good. This was a great deal as the bagel was bundled with coffee for only $5. Overall, our expenditure for food, drink, tax and tip was about $20. This was a terrific deal by today's standards. The service here was excellent. The people working were efficient and quite friendly. If you are in the area and looking for a moderately-portioned cost-effective option compared to pricey hotel breakfasts, this is a pleasant choice. It's got a great local vibe with good food.
