They are more short than I asked for so much so that you can barely tell they are acrylics. I also asked for the coffin shape and it doesn't look like they are. Some are very pointy and some are very rounded. Also on the board of prices it says that a full set of acrylics is $35 plus HST but somehow when we got to to pay it turned out to $55. So although my nail tech was friendly and talkative and they made us an appointment very last minute, I will not go here again.

This is my first experience of getting waxed outside of Toronto in Canada, and I was really happy to find such good service in Kingston! The salon was clean, albeit a little bit small. In particular, Maria was really good! She was thorough, clean, kept me distracted (i informed her how sensitive i am in that area), and she accommodated my pain threshold somehow! The price is $50 for a brazilian wax, but students get 15% off so I ended up with a $48 bill, before tip. This is a little bit more expensive than what I'm used to in Toronto, but after the discount it's affordable, and for the quality and time spent I think it's worth it! Besides pedicures, which is what lured me in after a friend recommended them, they offer mani's, waxing, blow-outs, facials and a few other services (all well-detailed on their website). The staff are very friendly and helpful and I really enjoyed the quiet atmosphere of the place. I'd absolutely recommend Lush to anyone looking for good nail service in kingston. Prices are reasonable, but do note - Students and Military get awesome discounts, so that should make it even more enticing!

I received a cut and colour from a junior stylist, and instead of giving me dark brown like I asked, I ended up with a darker copper red! I didn't realize how red it actually was until I got home and looked at it under natural light so I called back immediately. The stylist basically accused me of trying to get freebies and said it was my fault for choosing the wrong sample. I went back to the salon when I got off the phone to talk to them, but the owners weren't in, only the staff. A more experienced stylist even told her right in front of me that she had mixed the dye incorrectly but no one offered to fix the mistake. Well they said I could come back in and pay full price haha, as if. The junior stylist spent the whole time angrily trying to make sure I was fully aware she wasn't giving me any "freebies." The experienced stylist even had to keep shushing her because she was yelling at me in front of other customers. Not sure if the owners are ever around or care, but it's a shame because I have always supported this business and never once had a problem with a cut or pedi/mani, and never had issues with any other staff member. Make sure you stick with a senior stylist who knows what they're doing! In the mean time I'll be driving into town from now on!

Typically, I come for a wax and always feel welcomed and comfortable throughout the process. During a recent visit, I decided to ask about facials (I've never had one before). Laurie (the owner) explained several to me that would be beneficial for my skin concerns. I booked an appointment for the four layer mask facial and nervously went to my appointment. After she brought me down to the room where the procedure was to be performed, she explained the series of events to be expected. Throughout her explanation she asked if I had any questions. She was very welcoming and comforting and provided a fantastic explanation for what was to be expected. After undressing and getting comfortable on the table she came in and began my facial. It was an AMAZING experience and I highly recommend it to everyone! The aromas of the product and the room were relaxing; the subtle music in the background helped me to unwind. I felt as though I was being transported to another place. Her expertise with facials made each phase feel like second nature for her hands. I am beyond words by how impressed I am from this experience. As I mentioned, this was my first facial every and so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I will definitely be setting the bar high for my future facials. I walked out of my appointment feeling extremely relaxed and my face feels softer than a baby's bottom. Honestly, I'm not sure when my face has ever felt this great! I will be back for more!

The first one, never remembers how you style your hair, opens her own salon and gives everyone the same hair cut. The second one doesn't stop talking, cuts hair so-so and does not have clean equipment. The third one never cuts your hair the way you want it (or let it grow), will give you an "angry chop" if you criticize her. This was my worst hair cut by far. I cried when I went home and I cried the next day as well. I know it grows back, but why be so mean with a pair of shears? Cutting off 2 inches?? You said you were trimming a "little". BUYER BEWARE!!
