The eggs are FANTASTIC - but, you can buy them at farmers markets for the same price. The meat is frozen and hit and miss. Lamb neck bones? For the price - that's kind of insulting. The produce seems to be what they need to get rid of and it quickly spoils. I have been to an event at Mint Creek and it is a well-run humane farm. The people are nice. Their is simply NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Imperfect Produce dies a MUCH better job. Go to Mint Creek for the dinner and tour. Buy the scrumptious eggs at Farmers Markets. Skip the over-priced CSA. It seems like it's an after-thought to move surplus product and not worth the cost.

Raya has been more than accommodating with any special requests and is so quick to let us know if anything is changing in our CSA. Sometimes the laying hens don't lay as many eggs in the winter so I always appreciate Raya reaching out and keeping us informed. We are also looking forward to our first farm tour at Mint Creek this spring to further connect with the animals and the farm. I truly value the way they raise and treat their animals. I know that we are not only investing in our own health, but in the health of the environment by supporting Mint Creek Farm.

From the…read morestart, I could tell that they really care about the food they produce and their customers' well being. Hans, Katie, and Dave are experienced and well read farmers. They are what the modern farmer should be...a good steward of the land and not a factory operation. What brought me to PrairiErth Farm was my desire to buy and eat lean, organic, grass-fed beef...which they have and it is awesome. You can taste the difference in quality compared to the "big-box" stores. I know what is, and more importantly, what is not in the beef that I buy from PrairiErth Farm. I like to tell people that you can take a drive out to Atlanta and practically meet the cow you're going to eat. If you want to save some money in the long run, buying in bulk is the way to go. We chose to buy a quarter cow to fill our deep freeze and that was a good volume of meat for a family of 2 adults and one toddler. If you've never done anything like that before (like us), Dave makes the process easy. I was part of their first Crop Share Association and was very pleased with the selection and quality of the veggies that I received every week. I'm happy to be back for year two. The bottom line: Awesome people, high quality meat and veggies. I highly recommend them.

Excellent communication by email and post, and the weekly newletter is informative and not overwhelming. Tried other CSAs in the past, and this is the best. No month long beet avalanches. The amount and variety worked out well for a family of four, including small, picky kids. Remember to sign up early in the year, they sell out. Then you'll just have yo hunt them down at farmers' markets.
