Dr. Ed is a serious believer in the healing power of chiropractic adjustments, and I feel confident that I am getting a level of care above what I had previously experienced at other locations in Rochester. At UCCC, they focus on the cervical spine, and all of the adjustments are administered only after a brain stem scan and some physical checks. Adjustments, when needed, are gentle (no contorted bodily cracking) and quick. A typical visit lasts about 30 min from signing in, getting scanned, resting, getting adjusted, resting again and in some cases getting a final scan. The team here uses amazing technology to pinpoint misalignments using a 360-degree xray/imaging tool, and a hand-held 'brain stem scanner' which measures brain waves for stress caused by misaligned vertebrae. Each course of care starts with the xray, which is used to diagnose the exact nature of injuries and the program of alignments to come; then each visit starts with review of your symptoms and brain function. If there is no stress, you don't get adjusted. If there is stress, you'll get an adjustment appropriate for what the scan shows. And it might be a little different each time. While it is possible to pay as you visit, I chose to pay a lump in advance for a set number of adjustments per month. This works well for me and my schedule, and keeps me feeling good. And, if I have an episode of acute pain (which has happened a couple times), I know that Dr. Ed and Dr. Bhavik will do their best to see me ASAP and get me back in alignment. If you are someone who is interested in chiropractic care as part of your wellness routine, but you don't like 'traditional' chiropractors who contort your body and crack your neck and spine with force, definitely go in and see Dr. Ed and Dr. Bhavik. They'll tell you straight if they can or can't help you, and there are numerous options for different programs of care to fit every budget. You can even tell them I sent you!
