A very long overdue review for one of the best apartments we've lived in! We were at Solana for about half a year (we had to break lease for personal reasons that had nothing to do with them). The amenities are gorgeous, the apartments are beautiful and clean, the staff is extremely friendly and responsive. Maintenance requests were always completed within 24-48 hours. The front office is always putting on events and things to make the living experience that much more enjoyable - they have holiday parties, farmers markets, bingo, etc.. it made it so easy to get to know our neighbours and create a community after just moving to a new city. The location is also incredibly hard to beat -- you are only a 10-minute walk from Olde Town Arvada which is the cutest little area that gave us "Stars Hollow" vibes. It's filled with cute shops and restaurants, in the summer they have farmers markets, various festivals and even Yoga in the park! Not to mention you also have the train station, which easily takes you to downtown Denver. Solana is also extremely dog-friendly! The staff all knew our golden retriever by name and he would get so excited to stop in the office to greet them everyday. Yes, this apartment is expensive because it is a luxurious place to live! But in Denver, almost everywhere is expensive to live. At least here, we truly felt like it was worth it. We're eternally grateful for everything Solana had to offer us!! read more

Luxury price, miserable living. DON'T LET THE BEAUTIFUL AMENITIES FOOL YOU! After you read the reviews here check out Greystar's growing complaints on Denver's better business bureau page. Greystar's properties are a sham! We moved here only 3 months ago and myself, my husband, our baby and our live in nanny can not escape the constant (CONSTANT!) noise & smoking from the neighbors above us. In addition the grounds are unsafe, cars get broken into, there's dog crap scattered about, rules & regulations go unenforced causing tension, and noise that goes on all hours have no consequence. Office plays the "happy to help" game as you will see in Ashley's replies below, but once they sell you and you sign that lease you no longer matter. We were told not a month ago from Kate "we don't even get that many noise complaints." Read the rest of the reviews to see that's BS. There is a reason lack of sleep is used as a form of torture because the emotional and mental toll this has taken IS torture! Our neighbor's stomping, thumping, doors slamming and use of their apartment as a dog park for their large dog goes from day morning and night (I literally have no idea when these people sleep!). They pound up and down the stairwell which runs along the master bedrooms of all units with no regard for others (we are not the only ones who have complained). We have not had one interrupted night of sleep since moving in. My poor toddler gets woken up from his naps and night time slumber and we deal with the smell of smoke in our home which triggers his autoimmune disease (no smoking grounds? Riiiight!) After months of complaints & following "procedure" (documenting, communicating directly with neighbors, texting, calling patrol, e-mailing when regulations were being ignored) I arrived in the office this morning to follow up yet again with Kate just to be greeted with eye rolling, a bad attitude and for me & my husband to be disregarded and cut off. This place is a joke, office staff is rude and unhelpful, basic needs (sleep,clean air) are not met all with a hefty price tag. We wanted a beautiful convenient place to live and what we got was an overpriced cheap hotel. PROS- The maintenance staff is amazing (So polite and helpful), the gym and pool are beautiful. Solana Olde Town Station Apartments - Sad and dishonest - Apartments Near Me - Arvada, Colorado

Basically an unsafe place to live due to the lack of security and the failure to enforce many of the rules presented either in the contract or posted on the property. For example many non Solana residents jump the fence to the pool and use the amenities. People bring their dogs to the pool area. Cars are broken into and Solana claims to have security but I've never seen a patrol car. I even called one time to report people trespassing at the pool and no one came. This is not a safe place to live as anyone apparently has access to the grounds and they come and go freely. read more

Car keeps getting broken into and stolen.... I park right outside the freaking office too that's the strange part. And since the staff is refusing to do anything about this I am going to blame them for the thefts because every time the question of one's vehicle safety comes up in the conversation they will do everything to avoid that conversation or straight up ignore you and tell you to go talk to police even though you did.. lol what a joke read more

I actually really liked these apartment complex when I moved in. But you come to find out you don't get what you pay for. I am on the bottom floor simply because we have a dog, a 10 year old and a new born baby. We can hear literally everything the neighbors do above us. Did not help with a new born baby at all. Simply goes to show how cheap they made these apartments and obviously does not equal to the amount you pay. And when we explained our frustration to the staff there only recommendation was for us to move into another apartment and hope we wouldn't hear loud noises. This place is also suppose to be pet friendly but seems like they complain over our pet dog Jaxson who is loved by all the neighbors here. I'm a stay at home Mom at the moment and I let my dog in and out of the balcony throughout the day. And supposedly dogs here are not allowed to be on the balcony and not allowed to bark. I walk my newborn baby around the apartment complex area and see numerous dogs on balcony all times of the day and they bark just like any other dog. My apartment is also close to the leasing office and I constantly notice the office lady Sol repeatedly look over into my apartment/balcony. I'm guessung it's because of our dog but it's honestly kind of creepy and makes me feel like I'm being watched when I'm outside with baby and dog. And it's a very uncomfortable feeling. Especially with the babies nursery being on the same side. Another lady thing that kind of rubbed me the wrong way is Some of the leasing staff not all are a bit mean. I have walked into the office a couple times and smiled with a blank stare back. Has me very confused as to why. We pay our rent in full and early every single month and have never been late. So I'm dumbfounded as to why I would get treated that way. The amenities in this place can't be beat. The pool is beautiful and makes you feel like you're on vacation, the gym is bigger and nicer than some gyms you would pay a membership for, and the staff is super friendly and responsive. The reasons I didn't give 5 stars: 1. The water pressure in the shower is adequate but not optimal. This is also the case in the kitchen sink. 2. The snow removal was not great. The area by the doors got really icy and the parking lots were too. 3. The garbage valet service was horrible. But I have yet to encounter one that is effective. There is nothing worse than having the smell of garbage fill the common walkways. And it makes the place look "trashy." Overall the apartments are beautiful and spacious and would highly recommend. read more

The Solana Olde Town Station Apartment complex has definitely exceeded my expectations. In fact, I recently signed a new lease for a second year with no hesitation. The facilities, landscaping and amenities are beautiful and well maintained. For example, there was a tree in front of my apartment that didn't make it through the winter. Solana replaced this tree with the same size tree that had already matured with new leaves so I didn't have to wait a couple of years for a new tree to grow. However, what makes Solana so special is the staff that run the operations of the apartment complex and the interaction with the residents. They are all professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and patient. I am treated as an individual and am on a first name basis with each employee. They are always very willing to answer questions and requests to make sure you have a great living experience at the property. My maintenance requests have been resolved on the same day, quickly and efficiently. Many thanks to Ashlee, Shae, Kalee and Dwight in the Front Office and to Andy for his expertise running the Maintenance Department. You are all amazing and a key component in making Solana Olde Town Station so exceptional and a such great place to live. The residents here at Solana are very friendly. I have enjoyed many days at the amazing pool and other amenities meeting new people. There is a dog park on property and there are residents always out walking their dogs which is also a great way to meet people if you wish. Much of my free time is spent in Old Towne Arvada and taking the "G" line train to downtown. Coors Field and Ball Arena (Go Avs) are within walking distance of Union Station along with many great restaurants and nightlife activities. It is so nice not to have to drive to get around but if you do, I70 and I76 are within a few blocks. The proximity to the mountains and downtown is a huge benefit. You will not be disappointed if you choose Solana Olde Town Station Apartments to live. read more

Very nice amenities but complex feels unsafe. There is no secure entry to the buildings and 2 random patrols per night for the entire huge complex. There are often random non residents smoking weed or hanging out in my parking lot, and after my car was broken into and reading reviews that someone's apartment was broken into I'm now sure that the complex is targeted by criminals. When I asked about adding secure entry they told me it was too expensive. Too bad since it's a nice facility and the staff has been friendly so far. read more

I'm giving Solana only 2 stars because of the cheap build. It's been hell living on the second floor because we can hear everything and I do mean everything our neighbors do. The guys who live upstairs sound like they wear cinderblocks on their feet when they walk around. Sometimes it sounds like they are coming through the roof and party till the wee hours of the morning. I would give one star if the amenities and location weren't so nice. I have lived at Solana Olde Town for over 1-1/2 yrs. and was one of the first ones to move in. This is the first apartment I have lived in in many years as I transferred back to CO. with my job and wasn't ready to buy a home. As far as apartments go, this community has all the amenities that anyone could ask for and I have always been treated respectfully by the office and maintenance staff and always with a smile. The few times I have made a call to the office my issue was resolved immediately. Great staff!! Now that the G Line is running, even better!! I live on the 3rd floor with one of the better locations and have really enjoyed it. I don't hear any of my neighbors...just a dog barking at various times in one of the lower apartments. The only reason I'm not giving 5 stars is: Too many dogs in this community!! I know some occupants that have 2 and even 3 large dogs in a small apartment!!! Don't understand how you can keep dogs cooped up in a small apartment all day while you are away, so unfair to the dogs! What else do they have to do other than bark at passers by. They ruin the grassy areas around the buildings and this makes the otherwise nice grounds look trashy, at least from my view. Last summer all the grass was replaced but now this year looks worst than last. I too love dogs but I wonder if our dog population here is as high as the resident population....just wondering!? read more

I have lived here for over a year and have recently renewed my lease for another year. I have received excellent customer service from the office staff as well as the maintenance staff, from day I moved in. Jake has been super helpful and deserves to be acknowledged. Today, I was having an issue with the window treatments in my apartment, and Jake came by within 5 minutes after my call, to show me how to correct it. Thanks to Sol and Katie, too! Greystar has found some wonderful people to represent their community. I have held off on reviewing Solana, but now I have lived here 90 days, which is a good time sample. The amenities here are great. The trash pickup is on time, the pool and gym is nice, haven't used it yet but the pizza oven is pretty cool. I live out by the street and have a dog, but we rarely hear disturbances and all of my neighbors are quiet. The cost per square foot is in line with the market demands, especially when factoring the amenities. I like it here and so does my dog, my wife, and stepson. And the closets are big for her. 100% DO NOT recommend living here! Amenities are nice pool is nice, and gym is big. If you need to work with a manager Kate is amazing so kind and willing to clearly communicate with you. Ashlee however is rude and not helpful to the residents at all. She makes it seem as if you are wasting her time talking with her, does not speak to you in a professional manner, as well things that she states are very contradicting to what the rest of the staff will tell you. I am very disappointed how disrespectful she has talked with me on multiple occasions. I would seek living elsewhere just because of dealing with her! read more

So this place has a lot of positive reviews let me tell you the truth greystar the management company that runs it's is pretty bad they are rude most of the time you call the office to ask anything the office people are not helpful at all I have lived her for 2 years and it's been terrible they favor some tenants over others and I had multiple break ins to vehicles the complex is really nice and the construction is good but honestly it's been pretty bad living here and not to mention the power outages. Oh the emails they send every week because someone breaks glass in the pool and the pool gets shut down. This complex is nice but ran so poorly. It really the service oh and not to mention they incentivize people to rewrite positive reviews this place is pretty bad and the location over the last 2 years has been horrible I have lived all over the state but solana on 56th is a terribly ran apartment complex. Do not pick this place for the amenities! They are closed and they have zero idea when they will open. The apartments around us are open with a schedule that accommodates the time we are in. They told me "thank you for your thoughts" but no transparency in whats going on like what the other apartments are doing. We pick this apartment complex FOR THE AMENITIES! Period. If you like being lulled to sleep by dogs barking, train honking and car alarms-this is the place for you. My husband and I lived here for a year and were the first ones to move into our unit. We were hugely disappointed the G Line (RTD) never opened while we lived there as that was a big selling point. The constant 24 hour horn blasting (for about a month) was maddening but RTD is finally getting their act together and the "grand" opening is set for April 26th. The amenities are top notch-the pool and fitness center are fantastic. Despite not being 100% occupancy, our rent was going to be increased by $400/month so that, along with the other issues, instigated our departure. Parking is an issue and constant mix-ups of mail delivery plague Solana. I agree with some of the comments about the staff being less then genuine, although we felt that Ashlee, the manager, was always pleasant and helpful. Solana should do what they can to hang on to her as her job is not an easy one. read more

This is a horrible place to live. I was living there maybe 2 months and got my apartment broken into while I was there. I had to buy special locks since theirs are crap and easy to pop open. Maintenance is pretty good, they try to do what they can with what they have. There is dog poop all over the grounds. I can't recall how many times I've had to clean my shoes after taking my dogs out. The mail situation is ridiculous. Maybe 30% of the time I get the mail I'm expecting. I moved out a few months before my lease was up and just let the place sit. One day maintenance came in and was replacing cabinets and turned my heat to 70 and left it there. I had it at 45 since no one was living there. Had it not been winter I probably would not have minded it. But that bill was ridiculous for them touching my thermostat and not putting it back. read more

It is new, the furnishings and amenities are great! They staff and Maintenance are top notch. It is close to downtown arvada with many choices to eat. Solana is very dog friendly and our dog kids love this feature. It is new, so there are some tweeks that can make it even better. The bottom floor, 2nd floor, the steps are loud as there is not carpet pad or cushion, so it can be loud, but you might get used to it. THey have attached garages on bottom levels for the three bedroom which we love transitioning from a house with a garage. read more

My wife and I have lived here since June 2018 and at first it was awesome, the amenities, trash pickup, location, staff, everything was pretty good. Until they started leasing to people who have no place being at a "luxury apartment". Facilities are abused which leads to pool closures. Our building always smells like pot, of which we have complained about to no avail. Parking is non existent at night, forcing us and others to park on the street, our neighbors get in fights that sometimes last until 5am, yelling, screaming, not good. To make things worst they forced us (with no option of opting out) to move all of our plates, food, pots, pans, etc out of the cabinets/pantry in both the kitchen and the bathroom unto the floor so management could "fix" the apparent broken cabinetry. This turned our apartment into a construction site and therefore unusable for the whole day, and they left our apartment smelly and dirty. Mind you, nothing was wrong with our cabinets, they were brand new as of June 2018. So pretty much we had to move in twice. Bottom line, it's better to spend your money elsewhere, was a great place, but unfortunately poor planning and mismanagement has caused my opinion to decay. read more

I've been living here for going on 4 months now. I live in the 3rd floor which was hell during move in day but I knew that up front. I chose to live on the 3rd floor so noise issues from my neighbors would be minimized. Love the apartment finishes, front office staff, and amenities. My first complaint is that the oven/stovetop is subpar for apartments of this price range. The first week we were unable to use the oven due to the thermostat not being installed correctly. The second issue is the broiler... I don't know who's brilliant idea it was to install ovens with the broiler installed at the bottom where most ovens have a warming drawer. It's a pain is butt to cook with. My second complaint is that the snow 'removal' process throughout the community could be handled better. Ice continually builds up in front of my garage and an apartment entry way. I've mentioned it to the staff and they have been being attentive to the area. Honestly, this apartment complex has a great location, staff, amenities... just be mindful of the apartment you select if you wish to live in. Being noise could be an issue for you. read more
