I scouted this place for over a year before signing a lease. I wanted to be sure that if there were going to be any problems for residents, they would be resolved before I rented here. I knew a few people who lived at Deco, and I consistently scoured the web for any negative issue. To my pleasant surprise, I never became aware of any significant problem. I have been living here happily since May. I have had two small maintenance-related issues, and the facilities staff were inordinately prompt in resolving them. Everyone on the staff is kind and professional. Virtually every resident I've encountered is likewise kind and welcoming. I left my lease early because this apartment was so bad, and the Management was not responsive in resolving issues. Overall, the apartment is noisy (incredibly thin walls, and if you live near the dumpsters, be prepared to hear the trash trucks every morning) and unsafe (constant break-ins, people sleeping in the elevator, and unresponsive security). It also rubbed me the wrong way when Management offered donations for 5-star reviews, so something to be wary off when considering the reviews for Deco. read more

From broken garage gate leaving open access to whomever for MONTHs, to pet urine in the elevator for DAYS before being cleaned up, to unethical and unwarranted failure to release our security deposit -- it was just one negative after another. We moved out leaving the apartment immaculate and in better condition than it was at move-in and we received $5 back due to having the apartment deep cleaned. What a scam. I LOVE living here! Brandon and Nancy, do a fantastic job managing this community. Communication is top tier, with email updates on community events and announcements delivered frequently. They even host free community events like sushi making classes, yoga classes, ugly sweater contests, and more! It has been broken for many more months than I have lived here. They also gave notice of needing to power wash the garage one or two days before, I was out of town so I wouldn't know, but they proceeded to do it anyway and "they were not responsible for any damage to my vehicle" even though I got the notice as a piece of paper in my door, while I was out of town, so saw it when I came back to town several days after, completely unaware of the fact that I needed to move my car. Honestly would sue this place if that wasn't such a a hassle. read more

I wouldn't live here even if I got paid. I came to look at this place and there is clear signage to call leasing personnel through call box to let you in. I called MULTIPLE times and completely ignored. I went through the other side and a African-American male pointed out I had to call through the box to get in. The location is great with easy access to shopping, dining and major roads and highways.These apartments also have a great variety of updated and modern amenities. I am a current resident at Deco apartments. The best advice I can give you now - never ever think about this complex as a place to live in. If I could give 0 stars, I would. We live here since February 2023. Me and my husband are very quiet people and spend all our time working and studying. And it's became impossible here. Every time I come home, I have to adjust my schedule and my plans to the level of noise outside. I can't take a nap, I can't have a quiet evening in my apartment, I can't study. Everything I have to do - is to listen to loud music and children screaming all day and night long. There is no curfew. People continue partying after 10 pm. There were some situations when I called a patrol at 11.30 pm and they didn't come for an hour and people were staying in the pool area making noise. No respect. The managers can do nothing. They send emails but it changes nothing. When we asked to discontinue our lease early due to noise level (80 decibel with the normal range for apartments less than 55), we were told that we still have to pay 2-month rent, even though our lease ends in 1.5 months. Why should I pay 4000 dollars to leave the place where life conditions are unhealthy and actually break the law? We were offered to move to a different unit, but first I have to cover all the expenses for living here (cleaning, painting, etc.), then move to a different unit (wasting my time and taking a day-off from work which no-one is going to cover) to live here for 1.5 months and then spend another 400-500 dollars to cover all the same moving-out expenses. No way. The icing on the cake - my husband's car was hit 06/08/2024. He requested a camera footage, and he has already asked for it twice - it's been 2 weeks and we received an answer that nothing had happened there. It looks like they are not going to provide a footage, actually hiding the person who hit and run. In the mid-January this year my car was towed away from the parking lot, even though I pay for the space regularly. The reason for that - I parked on someone's spot which is 25 bucks more expensive than a regular parking space. I did it by mistake and it is my fault - I rear-parked my car in a dark corner and didn't see the sign on the wall because it wasn't well seen - my car was towed away and I paid 500 bucks even though I parked my car in my apartments' parking lot. Residents (except a few people who pay additional 25 bucks for the parking space) do not have personal spots, even though there are parking spots with numbers. I wasn't notified about the accident and found out this only when I had to take my sick cat to the veterinarian. The company didn't try to contact me or to do anything at all, although they knew that a car was towed away from the lot. And one more reason for that - the garage door didn't work properly for days and maybe even weeks - so anyone could get access to the parking lot, even a towing company. We tried to do something about the situation - but we received no answer and no apologize (at least). Our letter to the property manager wasn't answered. The same situation with the lease discontinuation email - we had sent an email, but never received a response (for 6 days now). Deco is actually a non-smoking community. People smoke everywhere. No respect. Marijuana smell is everywhere. People smoke during party time in the pool area where children are around and even in the gym. People from the pool area in wet clothes come to the gym without shoes, leaving all the exercise machines wet. Packages are missing all the time. There are not enough lockers for packages, so they are left in the locker room. If there 5 pm or later, or weekends - just forget about possibility to receive your package. And do not forget that the next day someone might have already stollen your package. Dogs' poop everywhere. Someone may say that my review is not fair. I have lived at Deco for over a year & I have had a great experience living here. The building is beautiful, the amenities are great & I love my apartment but most importantly, the staff is outstanding. Any time I needed help they have been incredibly helpful to me very quickly. The managers Brandon & Sharonda are all so kind. Alfredo, the building super intendant and his maintenance team are top notch, a huge part of the reason I am resigning my lease for another year. I have lived here for about 4 years. I moved in while they were still finishing the building. The security is a joke. I'm would go into detail but I'm worried that would just lead to more people breaking in and stealing stuff from peoples cars. My car was attempted to be stolen last year. Management has done nothing to improve things and they are actively getting worse. People wait to get into the garage because they don't have a pass and management does nothing to stop it. 5 star rating I see that there are numerous negative reviews posted about this building.  I have been a resident here for 3 plus years.  It has its issues just like any other apartment building.  But I can honestly say this... the DECO team has done about as great of a job as one could imagine.  There are 6 people in that office as workers and there are 600 plus residents here.  Not only that but there are going to be a handle full of residents that you just can't satisfy period, and then you have the 50 or 60 residents that act like children and disrespect the other residents on this property that I care about and live in.  I am a law student and the new laws changed everything, allowing rent assistance and help getting into apartments with income rates lowered by law... which is unfortunately resulted in the negative reviews that you may have read about this wonderful property!  The people that complain and blame the hardworking team here should move, right along with the people that care nothing about this property!  In my eyes they are cowards, because they don't SAY anything or DO anything about it, and use reviews and social media to hide behind!  Yes, the garage gate gets broke, because a resident that does not care about their living environment breaks it!  Better yet, they let someone follow them in all the time and then those people end up breaking into cars!!!  I'm tired of people posting stuff about the team of Alfredo, Nancy, Brandon and staff not doing their job!  It is the complete opposite.... They have to deal with miserable people and residents that leave their trash everywhere, and do things that clearly show that those residents don't care about the nice people here, that does care about the community and follow rules.  I have noticed that people are getting evicted, and can't wait to see a couple more.  Thank you DECO team for all your hard work, and sorry you have to put up with some horrible and miserable people!  I have seen Brandon the Manager work all week then he brings his beautiful family here on the weekends and works, to make sure people are following community rules!  I feel sorry that he has to do that and not be able to spend quality time with his family on his days off!  I know it takes time, but I have seen changes these last few weeks so keep up the good fight!  Good luck and I plan to live here to see the outcome to the teams hard work. I love DECO!!! I'm only leaving this apartment because I'm wanting to move to another area north of Denver. The management, maintenance, and cleaning staff are amazing. I have run into a few minor issues in my apartment that maintenance fixed the exact same day. I have had guests come visit and comment on how clean the hallways and lobby are. I have lived here for over a year and DECO is always this clean. The only complaint I have is that there are quite a few homeless people in the area that will not hesitate to confront you and ask for things. This makes me slightly uncomfortable when I let my dog out at night, but DECO is very secure. You cannot enter any part of the building without your key fob, and DECO has Front Range security monitoring the parking garage all night, so I have never had an issue with anyone messing with my car. read more

Recently re-newed my lease for another 18 months because I absolutely love this place. Special shout out to Brandon, Nancy, Alfredo and Sharonda. They are all so awesome, so helpful with anything that we need- help with packages, maintenance, deliveries, or literally anything. Here are a few things I love about the place and can vouch for: - It is a safe place to live in which is a HUGE requirement for me. Everything requires FOB access to enter and I have rarely heard about any unwanted intruders and never heard of anything dangerous. - Parking is cheap and in abundance. $50, gated, 5 floors. - Love the hot tub, swimming pool, work area and party lounge. - Love the rooftop views. (I guess that is just a Denver thing) - Modern apartment looks with modern kitchen. (WHICH I NEED) - Super conveniently located next to train station, Target, Soopers, Starbucks, restaurants. - Free coffee on weekdays (till 12pm)- wishing the hours were a little longer for my 3pm pick me up coffee lol. - Another shout out to WellVue. Deco works with them on apartment events that help build community so you know your neighbors. Most of my friends I have made in Denver are through these events. For the price this place isn't worth it in my opinion. It was hard to get into contact with anyone half of the time, I'd send multiple emails and never hear back. When I would call during office hours many times no one would answer. When I would go into the office it was often empty, a sign wasn't even posted stating when they would be back. In June my sliding glass door shattered, they didn't fix it until the week before Halloween. Whenever I would reach out for updates on when the glass would be replaced no one knew what I was talking about and was often told they'd call me back, which they never did. The facility itself is also not very secure, my car was broken into and someone had tried to hot wire it, they failed but broke my ignition. I was parked on the 2nd floor of the parking garage which was impossible trying to find a tow company who could fit to come get my car. Management did not offer to help me with finding a tow company and didn't even bat an eye that this had happened on their property. The parking garage is not secure despite the gate and recently it has been breaking since October. This complex has issues with car theft and damage. In July multiple residents reported their car windows being smashed and in October someone's car had been stolen out of the garage. Bikes are also frequently stolen. The apartment has the COBU app so residents can post about this stuff but any mention of things being stolen was removed. Ironic to me that this apartment has 5 stars for their reviews but on the app everyone is always complaining. The facility itself is not very clean with many people leaving dog poop in the stairwells. People also do not follow the designated times for having trash pickup so often the halls smell of garbage. I even had an incidence of someone dumping their garbage into my trash can after trash pickup had come. The amenities are nice but the price I paid to live here just isn't worth it. I lived here for a year and decided not to renew my contract. Nice amenities only take you so far when the facility is not all that clean, management is not responsive, and you have the constant worry of your vehicle getting broken into or stolen. read more

Deco has been pleasant to live at. There has been a few issues with the alarm and parking garage door but it's no big deal to me because they try there best to fix it. We've been a little behind on things this year and deco has been so understanding. I've never experienced an apartment complex that has really had your back. I'm grateful for this place. There are a bunch of "Karen's" in here that complain and give the front a lot of trouble but they would honestly find a reason to complain and hate on anywhere they live.
