He brought wood samples, listened to what we wanted and came up with a plan. So far, he has completed, and installed) 6 beautiful shelves made of parota (local wood) and a hand railing for our stairs. He is now making us two tables and 8 chairs from the same wood. He has consulted us every step of the way, sending pictures to let us pick our table tops and showing the work in progress and when complete. He even gave us a gorgeous outside shelf as a thank you for giving him all the work (and he installed it also). His prices are good, especially for the quality and custom work, and he communicates in English well. I definitely recommend him and will post more pictures of the tables when complete.

She explained how it was handmade and what fruit it's made out of (I actually don't remember what it's called, but she said it's a hard Mexican fruit.) The location is great as there is a grocery store a block away and restaurants within walking distance. Our housekeeper took care of laundry for us, and kept the condo in perfect condition. The doormen were helpful getting taxis and making the building feel welcoming, safe and secure. Our unit could use some updating, but the view and other attributes made up for any small imperfections. I would definitely return if I could.
