Plus the staff is welcoming, professional and helpful. I watched lots of students practicing take offs and landings for over 3 hours. Keep in mind small airports are all over the place many people live less than a mile from one and have no idea what it's even there., look it up you'd be surprised. Because they're not flying huge jets, or (even small ones) that need to land very fast and need much longer runways, they can kinda land wherever they (you) want. Now we're not talking about $10 million plus private jets so the price is actually reasonable, you'd be surprised. If you split it among some friends it's even better (obviously). The planes are incredibly well-maintained I rent super reliable, elegantly simple propeller driven and top of the line for their class. As a pilot myself, I rent planes from them and the main reason is how well they are maintained. For those who are nervous, remember your pilot wants to live too. The airport is overseen by a military pilot who is incredibly fastidious, so again the planes are top notch maintained to every screw/rivet and piece of plastic in the interior. Next time you've got a 3-10+ (+/-) drive Consider private flight. It also makes you feel good like you've really achieve something in life. Also because they don't fly high, relatively speaking like large "Wide-body" Jets (737/A310 etc.), you have a beautiful view at all times. TL;DR This is a wonderful way to travel, cost effective as well.

I should have known there were going to be issues when I had a hard time booking a discovery flight. I wanted the flight on a certain date, so I wanted to book almost 3 months in advance to guarantee the date. First, I went to the location, but no one was there and a young guy who worked in the same building the place is located told me that no one was there yet, even though they were supposed to have been open over an hour earlier. When I asked him what time they usually arrived, he said around 12 or so, he called it more of a "retirement job". I finally did get to speak to someone, and they told me that they didn't book out that far and to call back a few weeks before the date that I wanted. I did get it booked but not for the date I wanted, it was a birthday gift and i didn't want to chance not getting that date, so I planned something else for that day. The date came for the flight, and it got cancelled due to winds, no problem, I'm not a meteorologist, so we rescheduled. The day of the flight they cancelled again. This time they said storms were in the area. The weather was perfect that day! Not a cloud in the sky and no bad weather for hundreds of miles. I CAN read a radar and a weather report. I asked for a refund and got the runaround for over a month. I had to send a demand for payment letter before I got any real response. I finally did get a refund, of course they claimed that the gift certificate was for me (even though it states from me to someone else), and charged me fees. But, at least I got most of my money back and know to stay away from this company! Horrible all the way around.

After completing all my requirements, they told me I needed to improve landings, maneuvers, and procedures. The flight instructor became an issue, and when I asked for a different instructor, the school refused. The school's owner kept telling me that I needed to study more before the school would sign off for my check ride. This, even though I passed the FAA written exam with a grade of 92 and passed repeated mock orals. In addition, their airplanes are old, most from the late 1960s and early 1970s, and not in good shape. Many have issues such as the flap indicator being inoperative or the flap switch sticking, the inoperable turn coordinator, problems with the attitude indicator, and inoperable navigation lights and strobes. You'll get nowhere near a private pilot certificate with this school. - there are much better and more honest flight schools in the area. Then I went to a well-known flight school that had two separate instructors access my abilities - that school determined I was ready for my check ride.

I asked that he inspect the aircraft and asvise as to what was needed to make it again flight worthy and that I wanted to sell the aircraft. My specific concerns were cleaning out all bird nests and the like to minimize corrosion and such. I was told that he would have it into be inspected and worked on within 4-6 weeks. Despite repeated calls, he didn't pull the aircraft into the hangar for inspection until Oct of 2023. In Jan 2024, he informed me they had hit a snag in finding parts as the manufacturer was out of business. He indicated they had spent a good deal of time and money (without keeping me apprised along the way) and were at an impass, but would continue seeking a solution and keep me posted. Having heard nothing in quite a while, I contacted Jim in May, 2024 a full 14 months since he had agreed to help get the plane up and running. Jim informed me they had moved the FBO to a neighboring airport and they had the log books. I asked Jim for a breakdown of current expense and status. He said he would get that to me. Not once did Jim ever convey to me their hourly rate (outrageous) or where things stood as work progressed, until such time as they hit a wall having spent substantial money. I never received an invoice. All this while I had been seeking a buyer as Jim had indictated he would help. Communications remained silent. Early May 2025, I began receiving calls and texts concerning purchase of the aircraft. A gentleman (Brad) said he would help me find a buyer to purchase the aircraft. Within a few days he found a buyer. He also became aware of an open invoice (that was NEVER presented to me) and negotiated a settlement with the Fly ADVANCED CEO that i reluctantly agreed too. The buyer reached out to me and we proceeded with the transaction. In the meantime, Fly Advanced filed an improper lien other aircraft, despite Brad's assurances that a deal had been negotiated. This improper and unwarranted lien attempt, caused unnecessary headache and delay. In summarry, Fly Advanced delay, lack of communication and general over all unprofessionalism, created angst, lost opportunity and disgust for all involved. The experience has 100% insured I will never again have or encourage any interaction with the Fly Advanced organization or their affiliates.

Recently (2013) for a Christmas present I wanted to purchase a gift certificate for my father who has his private pilot but hasn't flown in many years. When I called I spoke to the owner Priscilla who was very helpful in answering questions about what airplane would "fit" my father the best, as he's gained a few pounds since his flying days! We agreed on the plane and I moved forward with the purchase. I was pleased to hear that the gift certificate was able to be emailed to me, which saved me the trip out to the airport a few days before Christmas. Here's the best part about my experience... Priscilla called me back and told me that there was no need for me to use my credit card. Apparently I had left some money on my account from when I was a student there and she would just use that credit. Remember...I haven't flown there in 13 years! Talk about a reputable business owner! Her response was, no need to use your credit card...Merry Christmas. I don't think you can ask for anything more in a small business owner than someone who is honest and upstanding, and that has been my experience with Eagles View. I'm not one to post reviews much, but this experience left me feeling like I should do my part to let others know of my experience.

After reading the first review below, I was really skeptical, but I decided to go for it anyway, and I'm so glad I did. It was a great experience and the guys working there were also really great. They all knew what they were doing, and considering we have no experience with molten glass, we were actually able to do a fair amount of the process our selves, which was really cool. I made a paperweight with flowers and it came out better than I expected. I would definitely recommend this place if this is something you're interested in. They even have group rates and you can also apparently go during the week. As the reviewer mentioned below, it is in a residential neighborhood, but it's a corner house with a sign out front that says "glass blowing classes". We parked on the side and walked around to the garage where everything was taking place. Sometimes they're a little hard to reach by phone when they're busy, but you can also e-mail them from their website. They responded to my e-mail pretty quickly. But if you keep calling, you'll eventually reach someone. Really great! Definitely do it!

However, from the unprofessional and just plain rude comments that were directed at me while there and most recently, I would not recommend this place. I was here at an open house and I kind of knew beforehand that I probably would not get any real experience or educational value from this. I believe my total experience consisted of watching other people do what I would be doing and a total of about 5 minutes hands on to make the glass design. Just know that if you make something at their open house you really are paying money to say you made something that looks nice but that's about it. If holding a rod, dabbing it in some glass chips, rotating it in a kiln & tapping the rod at the end makes you happy, then knock yourself out. The reason I finally wrote this review is because of the following: first while we were there, the owner (I believe) interjected himself into a conversation I was having with the group of people I went with. I was wondering if we could still avoid a lecture and save ourselves $10 - the owner overheard me and commented that he didn't care if I stayed or left, but I still had to pay the $10 because he invited someone to come here to speak already. Uh, excuse me? Was I speaking with him?! Then at the end of the evening after this lecture, he basically told us it was getting late, that he was tired or hungry and that it was their dinner time and basically told us to leave. Well, sorry but we were there for the lecture that we all just paid for and the lecturer was doing a Q&A - it was not like we were there sipping tea and just chatting amongst ourselves instead of continuing at a cafe. I did not want to review them when this first happened as I did not want our organizer (who did a terrific job) to be offended but what happened most recently really should be brought to people's attention. To be fair, some of the other employees there seemed affable. I had a couple of questions about my experience there and called several times. Except the 1 time I called, no one but a voicemail picked up & I hate leaving messages as this could lead to phone tag. I even emailed my query but there was no reply. The one time someone did pick up, she did not know the answer and told me the owner would get back to me. Well, that's fine but his answer still left me with a question. I called again to leave a message with my number and told them I was at an open house of theirs along with my question. When he returned my call, he first told me he thought it was strange I did not leave my name. I explained that we were not introduced so I did not think a name was important. He then went on to give me a tirade about how if I want his help that a name was important. So I gave it to him. I just didn't think it mattered for my voicemail. I did leave it initially with the woman I spoke with who wrote down my number. I guess since he was extremely testy with me and I thought his comments were unprofessional I mentioned that I thought it odd that a business almost never picks up their phone no matter what time of day it is. He clearly got angry with my opinion (some can call it a "tip") and said, "Well, I can't help you!" And hung up on me. Pretty sure his not helping me had nothing to do with my query. I was appalled because I don't think anyone has hung up on me intentionally since uh 5th grade? Basically I cannot recall when that last happened let alone with a business establishment. I really cannot recommend a place that treats its clientele in this manner.
