Order at the bar and find a table in one of two rooms. For being a small cafe, they make good use of the space and the tables inside. 3) Views: Since it's next to the Parliament, the street just outside the cafe offers perfect photos. Only reason to dong them a Star was due to the chaotic way and wait to order. There was one queue downstairs and two people intermittently taken orders. But, the people taking the orders also were making fancy coffee drinks and doing other stuff, so it was very staccato. When we were next in line, both people ringing people up went missing for quite a few minutes and then a newcomer went straight over to the 2nd register to ask a question, as if the people in the longer queue weren't waiting, and because the guys behind the counter were so all over the place they couldn't keep track of that. Then it turns out if you want to sit upstairs, you have to order up there, so off we went to wait in another queue. After you order, you take a number to your table and we thought they forgot about us, and asked a bus boy to check in for us and he returned with our food. Oy! Also: They do have English menus on request, but not typically on the table. Excellent food and ambience!

My first experience was the lunch plate with goat cheese, hummus and lots of other stuff which was excellent. Other times had coffee and croissants. My only negative (and this goes for other places in Copenhagen) is that they allow cigarette smoking at the outdoor tables. So when you sit down to enjoy your coffee and food in an outdoor experience, people will light up without care. There are also ashtrays on the tables which is a real turn off to me. Gross. I actually left on my last visit, after my coffee, due to the smoking. Great little place. I encourage them to do something about the smoking.

I chose the Vegetarian burger made from Panko fried celery, bread crumbs, raclette cheese, sauerkraut cornichon, onion confit and special sauce. Pommes frites with aioli accompanied the burger. I opted to skip the raclette ( too strong a cheese for me) and the sauerkraut which I'm not a fan. I must admit, this is one of the best veggie burgers I have ever had.. I know it's a pretty powerful statement. Additionally, I dislike celery and was not going to order this, however, I took a chance. I was glad I did as I enjoyed every bite. I chose a Sauvignon Blanc to wash it down , and it too was delicious. The vibe here is very French bistro or if you are a New Yorker, it reminds me very much of Odeon in Lower Manhattan, which I love.
