While the doctor was great, the billing process has caused significant anxiety and frustration. Communication with the office has not yielded a solution. I was and am being informed that the service would be covered by insurance; a Zocdoc representative confirmed that my insurance plan (UnitedHealthcare Choice Plus Network) was in-network for this provider. However, my insurance later charged me hundreds of dollars for being out of network. Due to this unexpected cost, I cannot see the doctor anymore, as I cannot risk being charged again. Overall, I am dissatisfied with the billing experience.

Was very crooked and painful, and needed help asap. They just x-rayed, re-wrapped my toes together (I had them buddy-taped), and gave me a cheap boot you can get off of Amazon. Then whalah!... $4000 bill later, they tell me to go to a podiatrist. I have no insurance, and it was a Friday, so I had to wait a few days to find someone that could see me at a reasonable price. I was able to get in to see Dr Stock, and he took care of my toe. Even did more x-rays, all at an affordable price. We had gone to him years ago when my daughter had issues with in-grown toenails. He looked at my foot (did not do an x-ray) said it was a tendon problem and gave me a cortisone shot which did not help. MRI showed that the 5th metatarsal bone was under stress. He prescribed a cortisone pack and gave me a large boot and said to wear it for a week. I asked him if I should pack the boot he said there was no need as he didn't expect any more problems with the foot. I left on my overseas trip on February 15th and on February 19th my foot was quite swollen. I sent a picture to him and he said "The swelling doesn't look anywhere close to the stress reaction." I saw my PCP on March 2nd when i returned and the xray showed a fracture of the 5th metatarsal bone. Dr. Schneider dropped the ball not once (did not do an initial xray) but twice (said the swelling was not related to the stress) when in fact, it was fractured. I have moved my care to an Orthopedist.

He is so knowledgeable! I've been to 4 reputable podiatrists, for reasons not associated to their expertise, I kept having to find someone new. I'm so glad that insurance, retirement of a podiatrist, and moving brought me to Dr. Nagler! I loved him from the start! He is a brilliant doctor!!! Well informed of latest procedures too!! I had plantar fasciitis release, bunionectomy, and mallet toe surgery, all on both feet. Surgeries were performed with care and precision!!! Beginning at the 2nd week of April then June 6th. Secondly, I was also equally impressed with the surgery center called ROC in the building! (Oops maybe it's called Houston surgery center, but for sure it's in the same building 1st floor.) Wow! Talk about well oiled machine! Everyone has a specific role and they know it very well! Dr. Les Yarmush (the anesthesiologist) administered the exact amounts of meds so as to not feel anything during and after surgery, not even nausea, headache or grogginess! Absolutely wonderful!! The nurses I had were Arfilio and Dameiro. They made me very comfortable and happy! They were so very kind, helpful and knowledgeable!! Lastly, I healed wonderfully!! I mean wonder-fully!! My right foot is ready to get back on the trail! My left foot is feeling like it's almost ready! My feet are Precious now, if I may say so myself! Hee hee!! Ps: I'm eternally grateful to Dr. Yarmush and Dr. Nagler, his clinical staff, and for surrounding themselves with such talented staff at the surgical center!!! I found this Doctor on Yelp and he was just as wonderful as the reviews promised. He's so NICE! I…read moream a huge baby when it comes to needles and after he gave me a shot to numb my toe I screamed a little bit & had tears in my eyes. He was so empathetic. He stopped what he was doing, came over & held my hand, and it was very sincere- he looks you in the eyes when he's talking to you and is very good at what he does. He waited until I was comfortable again before proceeding and didn't make me feel silly for acting like such a baby. I went to a different podiatrist a few years ago and they were awful so this was not my first rodeo. The difference between Dr. Nagler and other podiatrists is that Dr. Nagler does not delegate his work to assistants. He is very hands on and a true professional. I noticed that another person complained about the wait. I did wait about 15 minutes but I would much rather wait and get excellent care from the Doctor himself. He takes his time with you, explains everything, and answers any questions you have. The office is super clean and sterile and I felt very comfortable with Dr. Nagler and his staff. I would definitely go back to him and highly recommend him to anyone that needs a podiatrist.
