I stopped into Sole Salvation on a trip to Milwaukee. The first thing I noticed is how absolutely kind the two women running the shop were. There was a ton of clothing, and some purses, shoes, and jewelery. All at a steal of a price! They also have a formal wear area and some very nice fur and leather coats in the section further to the back. The best part of our trip to the store was Debbie. She was so very nice and I had just the best time ever chatting it up with her. If you're into great prices and wonderful people, I highly recommend stopping by. :) read more

Don't miss the best thrift/vintage shop in Milwaukee!! If you need cool boots, Sole Salvation is the authority. Vintage dresses & coats, oh yeah! Fine quality leather, biker vests, and jean jackets, totally! They even have neat jewelry from local artists, estate sales, & older pieces that are perfect for cosplay or a night on the town. If you want clip on earrings that are affordable & hip, they got those too. For a smallish location with tight hours, I can't believe how much value they have packed into one location. It's just off brady on Humboldt, right next to Art Smart's Dart Mart. Ooh, plus if you catch them at the right time, often their selection will include 50% off sales, which is a godsend to an artist on a budget. The staff is incredibly knowledgable, & they have been really sweet to me on rainy days. They even have had some epic vintage jerseys that got snapped up before I could snag em myself. If you're there, don't forget to check out the cool stuff in back & to look up! The whole place is a throwback to the glory days of Milwaukee vintage. My friends and I wanted to do some thrifting on our trip to Milwaukee, and we almost passed this place by since it seemed small. I'm SOOO glad we stopped in! Despite its size, this little store managed to have something for everyone! I bought some cologne while my friends bought shirts and pants. The selection here is really fantastic! The lady working the register was very welcoming and friendly! I definitely hope to stop back at Sole Salvation next time I'm in Milwaukee! We were so impressed with this place! I thought it would be a smaller shop, but they really pack a lot in! It's such a lovely curated selection, and super well organized. There is literally something for everyone here, from casual to drag queen, from vintage to contemporary. When we were there, a lot of things were on sale for 20% to 50% off. I saw a Prince t-shirt, and they even had a whole rack of beautiful men's shoes. We chatted with the friendly owner, who was really sweet and recommended some other shops we could check out while we were in town. There are so many amazing treasures to find at Sole Salvation! If you're into thrifting and digging for a good find, definitely hit up this store! I ended up with pants, a dress, and earrings for $30! The staff is awesome and the prices are reasonable. This is one cute little resale shop. We arrived just a little late (hey, there's a lot to do on Brady St. ) The owner, Maxine ( i hope I heard this right) let us in and show us great hospitality. What a nice lady! Her merchandise is well displayed and features great shoes and frocks for women. My girl went to town on the heels and was pleased to see that the sizes didn't stop at a single digit. There were many high quality and unique shoes in size 10 above. Dresses were nice, though it's all a matter of your taste. There were definitely some "out there" gowns, but also some nice sweaters and skirts for work. No mommy jeans here. A few good shoes for the guys and some other interesting odds and ends. We stopped back a few days later. The owner was away at an estate sale but she left the store in good hands. A young man welcomed us and was very helpful. Overall, this is a shop to visit while on East Brady. Yes add it to your list. read more
