Pushed the door, staff is eating (yeah it's late) but they tell very quickly that they can still serve soup, delicatessen and cheese. Of course, we jumped on this to take a combo of all these 3 for 11€! There's a lot of tables inside but they have a very nice terrace just behind the restaurant, perfect to be under the sun. The soup is good, I took the Maldives which is made with Chinese ingredients and Sichuan pepper, bread to accompany cheese and delicatessen is homemade, well it was a very great moment. Moreover, the restaurant is just next to the battlements walk which is perfect to digest :)

We have eaten there on many occasions over the years and have never had a bad experience. The sweet and sour sauce is to die for, and some locals actually ask for extra containers of the sauce to take home with them and some freeze them for when they want to use them. This restaurant also offers a take away service as well, and the food also meets the same high standard as their in house dishes. Don't be put off by the £13.95 (I think!) all you can eat service. It isn't the usual help yourself buffet spooning food that has spent hours in chafing dishes. Instead, you order from an extensive a la carte menu, all the usual dishes you would expect in a Chinese plus some specials. I particularly like the sizzling dish Steak in a pungent sauce. Wonderful description and food! The food is high quality and freshly cooked to order. Clean linen tablecloths, chopsticks and bowls supplied if requested. Service is friendly and informal.
