The place was super clean and the design of the place was so cool. This was my first experience and I was super excited Fina guided me through the whole process. I don't tan often, but Solera Tanning has been my go-to for over ten years. They have the best beds, and it's always exceptionally clean. I recently learned there are new owners. After speaking with them and trying the bronzing bed (the first door to the right), I was delighted to discover that they've made the business even better--now offering a full-body red light therapy bed. This is THE place to go for THE best spray tan. Getting it done before vacation is key not to get a sunburn when you've been inside all winter. Lord knows, with my fair skin, I've had many a sunburn! The aesthetic is peaceful, serene, and relaxing. Fina is lovely. She engages with you, and remembers your name as soon as you walk in. Fina, herself, sterilized my tanning bed before I used it. I had the BEST experience at Solera. It was my first time using an indoor tanning bed and was very nervous. I walked in and Fina greeted me. She told me that she was the owner and was there to help me and I explained that it was my first time and she graciously walked me through all the various tanning beds and what they are good for. She asked about how my skin is and how I tan and we found a bed that was right for me. She wasn't pushy with anything (like other salons are with packages) AND the most important thing was that the place was SUPER clean. I highly recommend going to SOLERA. This location is amazing. It's not all just about tanning there. It's so much more. Not only do they have a wide selection of different services and products available, but also serve for your wellbeing. They are a business that cares about their customers leaving with a smile. Last Monday, I woke up with excruciating neck, shoulder, and back pain. The pain was so bad I was getting tension headaches. I was unable to move without shooting pain. I walked around looking like a stiff statue. I had gone to see a Doctor asking for some sort of pain relief and told me to continue to take over the counter meds that weren't working. Nothing was helping. So I turned to Solera where they have CRYO-THERAPY. I went for two days. Even though I still had some pain just After the first session I was able to finally move my neck again. I was suggested to return for another session and all I can say is wow. Thank you for relief I needed. Cryo therapy helps with Pain relief from joint disorders, rheumatoid diseases and fibromyalgia. I was recommended by a therapist to go here..i recently had surgery on my achilles tendon. I had swelling and a lot of pain. He told me that this is the the BEST place in Queens to get cryogenics therapy. I found out that cryogenics therapy iceing...it is equivalent to 10 hours of icing in 6 minutes. It was amazing if you have pain swelling or just uncomfortableness. Run don't walk to get this done. Amazing amazing amazing. And I realized I had arthritis in my toes and with this treatment very limited pain. It's worth the trip and the place is extremely clean and very friendly staff. I seriously would never recommend any place to anyone if I didn't stand by them 100%. This place is great, the beds are always super clean (they have someone who cleans not only the bed but the floors after each person tans) and the bulbs are changed often. The staff as well as the owners are attentive to their customers and help guide them for what's best for the CUSTOMER not their business!! They also offer different services besides tanning such as hair removal and makeup applications. All around 5 stars. It is a little more pricey than other salons but it is worth it in the long run for the great services you are getting. read more

Great services, exceptional staff and clean business. The owner takes great pride in her business. You are always greeted with a friendly staff member, most times the owner herself. She reviewed the different tanning packages offered, additional services offered and a tour of the beds with explanations of each. There is no pressure to buy packsges, product or other services. Each room is cleaned/sanitized after a session-not only the beds but the floors are cleaned as well. She states she changes her bulbs often. I'm not familiar with industry standard BUT I can tell you I feel and see a difference in my sessions at this establishments compared to others. I cannot explain how much I LOVE THIS PLACE! It's truly incredible. When I walked in I was greeted by the owner herself who is not only friendly, but honest as well. Took the time to show me around the salon and her equipment and talked me through different packages. I'm not new to tanning, and I usually buy a month long package wherever I go (I usually tan when it comes to a special occasions, this one in particular is my wedding two weeks away). The owner insisted that with her beds and my skin tone there's no way I would need the month long but should pay for maybe 8 sessions, especially because the bulbs in her beds are changed so frequently and so strong. She was not kidding. After my second tanning session I already had a flow that people commented on. The staff is friendly, the beds are strong, they give free eyewear, the place is clean and has a nice design. The only downside is I moved from PA to NJ and been in NY a year, and this is the most expensive package I've ever purchased and I've been tanning for 8 years. read more

This is probably the most comfortable tanning salon I've ever used. The staff is laid back and friendly and completely open to stupid questions... wait, how do you turn it on? Everyone I have met is supremely knowledgeable on the benefits and possible drawbacks (going by your skin tone in front of them) of each machine and can easily guide you to the one that will achieve your tanning goals. (Even if it isn't the most expensive, which always says honesty to me and keep me as a returning customer.) it is obviously very well kept, very clean and I've never had dull bulbs. All the doors always close and lock! I do wish their website included more information on some of their other services. Rates, scheduling availability and so on, but mostly I love that I can walk into this place to smiles and helpfulness instead of the usual tanning salon staffs that stare at your inferior self with quizzical looks about why you interrupted their conversation about DJ so and so down at MMW. read more

i recently got my eyelashes done here for new years and there soooo beyond sick!!! i love them, im going to die when there gone. this is the only place in the world i would ever get airbrushed having had HORRIBLE experiences at some salons in bayside. this has to be the BEST SALON IN QUEENS!!! I've been tanning, getting extensions, getting airbrushed, i also got my makeup done for my prom last year at this salon. there bed strength constantly surprises me. If it weren't for there very welcoming staff suggesting beds to me or the highly involved owners who are always very quick to help out anyone, i would have left a little more red than tanned on MANY occasions lol. Prices are fair for the quality of tanning i've been getting, since i only have to go maybe once a week apposed to 2 or 3 or even more when i was tanning at gemini or (i hate to even say it since my friend got a fungal infection from tanning there) beach bum. They have amazing packages, i buy 12 constantly and share with my sister and the sessions don't disappear LIKE SOMEEE PLACESSSSSS. my friends sometimes complain about the prices but lets be real, if my 17 year old sister can afford to pay for herself and u cant.... maybe you shouldn't be tanning in the first place or lol then subject yourself to tanning at a dirtier salon and end up with warts on your crotch. i think ill take my chances paying a reasonable price for what im getting. deff a place to check out, ive tanned like everywhere and im seriously hooked on this place. only complaint may be there busy alot, and i some times have to wait a little for my bed... but i guess you'll find that in any good salon. i totally recommend this salon to all my friends. read more
