Visionary Landscapes does not stand by their work and frankly are impossible to get ahold of once…read morethey get paid. We paid for a Nicoblock retaining wall to extend the length of our front yard ($20k+ job). Although we requested renderings or plans upfront, we were told they weren't necessary because it's 'just a wall'. Needless to say, their poor planning didn't account for a telephone pole anchor cable that was directly in line with where they placed the wall. They then switched the product at the anchor to natural stone which looks horrible and wasn't what we agreed to. After repeatedly being told they could not angle the Nicolock block wall around the anchor, we finally accepted the natural stone look (No idea where all the extra Nicolock block we paid for disappeared to as they picked it up and didn't provide us any discount or refund). We had them rebuild the natural stone portion twice because they did not properly address the slope. Now less than 18 months later, the natural stone wall has given out and we cannot get a response. They also used a chipped capstone for the portion Nicolock wall that we were assured multiple times would be replaced, still haven't heard back. Save your money and stay away from these guys as they clearly oversell their experience and work.

Vinny was the most knowledgeable and with the fairest prices. From the start, Vinny understood the complexity of the grading, while his competitors did not. His team followed the exact manufacturers specifications when installing the walkway (it is essential not to skimp on these base materials). Additionally, his team didn't simply seed the lawn, they sowed the seeds and seeded at the same time, essentially double seeding the front yard. They also took the extra step to use shade grass seed for the areas that did not receive direct sunlight. His team was prompt, efficient, and tidy. Marco, one of the owners of Carbillano (landscaping) talks a great game. He knows everything there…read moreis to know and I fell for it. Told me he would be in and out in 2-3 days once the project started. After canceling the start date 2xs bec one worker called out sick, the work commenced. One week later and after tremendous aggravation, the work finally finished. Id grade the work a B. I paid in full in good faith because Marco promised he would come back and fix up some areas. Shame on me because he never intended to come back after repeated texts from him saying he would. In fact, he stopped responding to my texts. Unfortunately, some lies were told and I have since terminated my relationship with Carbillano and asked them not to come back to my property. Thank goodness its only money, and clearly doing an 80% job is what Carbillano knows best from my personal experience. I'm certain Carbillano will respond with lies, smooth talk and twist the story around for what really happened. I already have an email making me out to be the bad guy lol. If you have any doubts that Im telling the truth, please reach out to me as I have texts, emails, pictures of the shoddy work and my wife is also happy to share the lies we were told. Im happy to serve as a reference so no one else gets conned. I should have known better after the start date moved twice and Marco desperately needed to be paid in order "to make payroll." Good news...I have since found an amazing trustworthy landscaper.

(Who does that?). Our lawn was destroyed, they reseeded 3 times but it's still not ok despite watering and fertilizing it for 4 months. They added new mulch as a "favor" to get a good review but it's full of weeds and looks far worse! He never told us about an irrigation winterizing/turn off fee. We would NEVER hire them again. He doesn't return texts of phone calls. His Brother's contracting company is amazing but sadly this apparently doesn't extend to "Marco", the new owner of Carbillano. He's doesn't care about quality work and actually finishing THE job.
