I've been going to Fernando for about a year now for personal training. I've had several coaches in weightlifting, bodybuilding, yoga, and crossfit. I've also worked with several physical therapists over the years for injuries both acute and chronic (broken arm, neck pain). My goals have changed over the years. I'm in my 30s and work at a desk most of the day. My primary goal now is health and wellness. I want to be strong and mobile. No coach has contributed to my wellbeing as much as Fernando. I haven't felt this capable and pain-free in years. Best boxing gym I've been to , I've been training off and on for about six years, and been a member at about four gyms all over the city and San Bruno throughout my journey. Solis boxing gym is by far the best one yet . Definitely old-school boxing aesthetics but with all the best new American made Grodex equipment. fernando and all of the instructors are extremely talented. fernando's system really teaches you the fundamentals and mechanics of using your body. i usually train muay thai and i've trained at a lot of gyms and this is the best boxing training i've found. the classes are accessible if you're totally new to boxing or if you have some experience and want to improve. i've learned so much!! i also see the kids and teenagers training and it's clear that fernando and the other instructors really value teaching the next generation. read more

Trainer Solis is one of the best in the game! He taught me all the fundamentals in regards to weightlifting and training. Fernando is extremely patient and explains the "why" behind everything he has you do! I've been working with Fernando for about 1.5 years now and he really knows what he's doing. You'll get a a good workout at almost any gym, but Fernando will teach you real boxing technique. I'm not planning on prizefighting anytime soon, but it's cool that I'm learning the right way to box, down to how to breathe. When you've been in his class for awhile, you can feel the difference in how all the different movements come together and how you strike the bag. When I get lazy, he'll catch it and correct it. Two years ago, I was looking for personal training and decided to try a session with Fernando. I've been going twice a week every week ever since. Fernando is great with people of all levels and really tailors the workout and exercises to your own style and goals. Awesome mix of strength training and boxing combined to be the best works outs I've ever done. It's been really helpful for not only boxing but other activities like golf and tennis. Fernando Solis is an excellent trainer for boxing. He takes his time to train you, and he explains to you how to become a better boxer by teaching you the fundamentals of each move . What I enjoy the most is that you're not just in some class full of people trying learn a bunch of moves, you get that one on one training attention to help you understand and to get better as a boxer. Also every time you come to train you learn something new, and you can go home and practice the move at home so you'll be ready for round II when you come back. I have been boxing for many years and in and out of various gyms but didn't feel to at home at those gyms. I kinda gave up on boxing gyms for awhile before coming to Fernando. It was in 2017 that I gave solis boxing a chance, since coming into the gym I was greeted with a warm welcome from Fernando and other members of the gym. The atmosphere gives off a good welcoming home feeling. Fernando wasn't hesitant to give me advice on my technique or work mitts with me with out any question. I've been to many gyms where many don't ask or want to hold mitts for you if they don't know you. This was a nice change to what I've experienced in other gyms. Fernando Gave me that spark back to get back and do what I love. He let me enjoy boxing once again and build a family of team members.
