my god son burned a hole in my wallet last week while in astoria on steinway and its all good cause…read morehis pop is one of my best friend and a cheapskate. sports lane on steinway is where you can get the latest styles and brand of sneakers , endless baseball caps with all the major league teams including mlb, nfl, nba, nhl, etc. shop is long and wide brightly displaying all the goods from wall to wall with a few center tables along the way. while the kid was doing his sneaker browsing i grabbed a few caps and two champion tshirts. the lad got himself a pair of nikes and a lakers cap which in total with my gear lessen my wallet by 220 dinars . i enjoyed coming here with my godson and i still aint cool enough to wear air jordans.

Goes out of his way to help us pick the perfect cleats, such a positive soul and a great person to be around. I remember I came in the store with my son and he was nervous for his upcoming game and Brian told him a few words and he scored 3 goals in his the game a few days later. I'll definitely be coming back especially when you have people like Brian to make up such a great environment in the store. I have never left a negative review in my life, but dear me, I also think you can expect some standard when you hire a company for services. Unfortunately, the standard at Gym Tech was inferior, not to say the worst. Where do I start? Hired GymTech to install a squat rack, the technician came lovely man, did his job assembled and bolted down the squat rack. Now a year goes by; I'm contacting gym tech because the bolts got loose (see attached picture) and need to be fixed for our residents' safety. They replied that they had never allowed this? how is this possible when I have all the emails to prove that they have authorized this installation, and just told us no out of nowhere, and this is the response from the owner telling you all about this company. I Will not recommend not adding that they are expensive too. We found better service and honest professionals who came to fix our squat rack the next day. Overall it's very ABSOLUTELY unprofessional, don't waste your time.

I usually just come here for bait but they have all things fishing related and I'm pretty sure they can order stuff if they don't have what you want but don't quote me on that. He is very knowledgeable and thorough when it comes to skate fitting. I really appreciated David's explanation of all the steps of getting the perfect fit for my boot. Between the heat molding, punching, and modifications he made to my skates, it really was so worth it. (Just be prepared to be in the shop for a good chunk of time!) Today I skated for the first time with the new boots and blades and the sharpening was absolutely perfect, I have never glided like I did today. David will definitely will be my new go-to for sharpening, 100% worth the trip! Thank you so much David!

Otherwise the staff handles everything well. It did take a while as there was a lot to talk about, so budget some time. They do custom orthotics and can order equipment for hockey and figure skating if it's not in stock.

I was sneaker shopping and I came into sneaker world and looked around so I finally chose a pair of…read moreair max nikes that I liked , I am always a size 8 in sneakers , the salesperson neglected to tell me that they were a kids 8 sneaker , I tried them on quickly and seemed ok . I got home put them on in the house and walked around for ten minutes , they were really hurting my feet because they weren't wide enough like a normal size 8 adult sneaker I tried to return them explaining to them they were not wide enough and hurting my feet , the same salesperson said I could not return them because I wore them , by the way there were no marks on the sneaker at all , they were only worn indoors for about ten mins and I had wiped off the bottom before returning them , I did not want my money back I just wanted a pair that fit in an adult size ! The owner was outside smoking a cigarette and he came in literally yelling at me , after about 5 mins of back and forth , I was calm and was just explaining that it was their mistake by selling me children's sneakers and telling me it's woman's , he then proceeded to curse me out in Greek and say "better get out of here before I lose it in Greek , little did he know I am Greek too , at this point I just told him he is extremely unprofessional and should learn how to conduct business I left w the sneakers and took them to a shoe maker to stretch them out a bit Needless to say I will never patronize this slimy business again !
