She said that she could not help me and then hung up. Really! That is a sure-fire way to gain new clients - Ha ha (yes, I am being sarcastic here). I am a frequent traveler (at least 4 trips a year). Now, apparently, she does not need any more clients, so DO NOT waste your time calling the agent. I have found an agent who cares about me being their client and goes out of her way.

This airport is about halfway between Charlotte and Wilmington. It does not have commercial service…read moreand. It offers FBO services and I believe that there are some flight schools operating here as well. I was here because of https://www.atlasobscura.com/places/laurinburgmaxton-aircraft-boneyard on Atlas Obscura. The airport is home to some former commercial aircraft that are in various states of disrepair. The airport property is completely closed and fenced off. Because it's a live airport, trespassing is going to get you in trouble with the FBI so absolutely do not cross the fence line! That said, there are a few aircraft that you can still see and photograph from groundside. Especially if you have a decent zoom capability on your camera. My Google Pixel 4 did a more than decent job as you can see here. If you've got better, then it's going to look good for you. It's interesting and sad and a little disheartening to see these aircraft here, rusting and falling apart. Worth a stop if you're in the vicinity.
