Highly recommend this Mariposa school…read more My daughter went in with minimal speech in both English and Spanish, after a year with Mariposa she was speaking fluently in both languages. She learned to count 1-20, the ABC's all within months of being there. Her progress was astounding. The teachers and director were so kind and dedicated to her learning. I feel very grateful for all their support and the education they provided for my daughter. My daughter flourished there. I was very happy with the outcome after only a year there and highly recommend this school. They touch on all the developmental areas for young children and really focus on each Childs needs to help their educational journey. I am very grateful to the teachers and director for all their hard work and their dedication to the children.

I'm a native Spanish speaker and we're a bilingual family, so we were extraordinarily grateful to find a Spanish-immersion pre-school that *also* teaches initial academics. My son's Spanish vocabulary and pronunciation advanced significantly, even with Spanish speaking in the home. Patty and her team are loving and attentive, and truly care for each child. If you're looking to give your child the gift of a second language -- an opening to another world -- I can't recommend Mariposa more highly!

I have been taking classes with Anne Andree for over a year now. I took French in high school and college and lived in Paris for some time but then stopped. Fast forward 30 years and my goal now is to speak and understand French when traveling. Anne Andree met me at my level and used many common sense and creative ways to help me achieve that goal. She offers her own practical techniques for learning French and then utilizes several study guides to reinforce and practice what I have learned each week. Also, she offers great advice on traveling in France. I look forward to my weekly classes and am grateful to have such a wonderful and patient teacher.

We have seen him evolve from a young student with an interest in learning French to a 17-year old, fluent French speaking, AP French student. Anne Andre tailors each lesson to a student's needs. She understands how to teach French to students, making complicated grammar rules understandable and training their ear so they can understand and speak French with an authentic accent. She does all this while also making learning fun. Our son is now getting excited to study abroad in Paris, and he can go with confidence in his ability to learn and converse solely in French! We cannot thank Anne Andre enough!

Everyone in class expresses the same sentiment. We enjoy learning about one another, while learning how to listen well, and to express ourselves. My first aim was to talk with my employees and not sound like a complete idiot. My second aim was to speak with friends and I now have a third aim to explore written Spanish in the form of short stories and modern novels. It's been a fantastic journey which I would never have attempted without the help and encouragement of the staff at Sun Spanish. After reading articles and a novel, no matter how imperfectly, renouncing English and speaking in Spanish, no matter how imperfectly, I feel myself falling in love with the language. Who could ask for more. Thank you Sun Spanish. I am a very happy student.

She is personable, patient, very bright and committed to your pursuit of the language. I take online as well as in person lessons and I find her teaching style works well in either setting. Her vast library of teaching tools, regardless of your level, is amazing; you will never get bored with Alessandra! The class sizes are perfect - usually less than 7 and I find that supplemental private lessons are a great compliment to my studies. If you are just starting with the language or a C2 level, you will find that she will meet you where you are in your journey and will walk with you as you progress. I am grateful to have found Alessandra - a wonderful teacher, a good person and someone who I trust to help me on this challenging, yet rewarding journey.

Michael provides clear instructions, quality equipment, and personalized advice to help you through the build process. Classes are flexible and he allows you to customize your project however you like. It makes the project feel much more personal! I took the cutting board class and he let me choose my materials (I chose walnut with maple), size of the board, and unique touches that I thought looked cool (rounded edges, handles). I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. It's fun to say to be able to say that you built something with quality materials that is going to last for years! The class took about 4 hours which I thought was totally reasonable. And I walked out of there with a finished project that I could show off right away. The shop is easy to get to and Michael works with you on scheduling to make sure you complete your project in a timeframe that works for you. The whole thing is really easy convenient! I'm looking forward to returning and taking other classes!

Awesome experience all around. Lesson learned: safe woodworking means no gloves and no long sleeves, so prepare to keep your core warm for sessions during the winter months.
