It was a few days before Christmas and I had been under the weather for weeks. That morning I woke…read moreup with body aches so severe every cell of my being was sore and uncomfortable. I have had massages in the past for therapeutic reasons but my reason for seeking one out this time was clearly medically related. Not knowing where to find a "medical" massage I turned to trusty Yelp and TI was the first to come up. Eve quickly responded to my voice mail and was able to schedule me an appt that day which was a Godsend. I did have a little difficulty finding the location (she is moving next week to a better location) but her office was the perfect mix of relaxation and medical. She had a spine model on her desk and different plaques recognizing her advanced education in her field. I completed a medical questionnaire, similar to a medical history form found at a doctor's office and spoke to Eve throughout my appointment in greater detail about all my ailments. She was not only attentive, but seemed genuinely concerned in her desire to make me feel better, as well as make suggestions for things I could do on my own at home. My massage itself was not therapeutic, but slightly painful which I fully expected given the condition I was in when I walked thru her doors. Throughout the massage she asked about my comfort level and was more than accommodating in her technique. At the end was a relaxing massage focusing on my arms, face, and head which I found to be heavenly and a very nice ending to the hour. I left still slightly sore but definitely in better shape than what I arrived and felt better each day thereafter. That massage was exactly what my body needed! At checkout Eve refused to accept a tip, which I thought was totally professional and followed up with a courtesy email the following day to check how I was feeling. Eve was very personable and easy to talk to. At no time did I feel uneasy telling her about my complicated health issues and other stresses in my life. Overall a very nice and much appreciated experience. While I don't "treat" myself too often when I do I will definitely return.
