For a lot of play, wear and tear would be better on larger sized greens -Pace of play wasn't bad at all, 4hrs 5 minutes in the height of the summer. Overall, it's in better than average to good shape, just a couple of those things that bothered me. I'm not a fan of the NJ shore, however I would make the trek to Greate Bay again when invited.

Like previous visits, the staff was great. Easy check in. Easy instructions on how to use the ski. Clean and sanitary life vests. Clean and sanitary port o potties. Decent ski's (fast and reliable) A couple negatives - They really did crack down a lot on just how far you can go on the ski's. They also added a lot more staff out there with you (That's good from a safety stand point but they keep you contained to a specific area and enforce rules haha) Previous visits we were able to ride from bridge to bridge ... It felt alot more open and free. This time around it was 1/4 the riding area and basically a large circle. Bummer, but what can ya do ? Safety is in these days. Btw my review from 5 years ago mentions the price as $85 for an hour with a passenger... this year was $118 ! Paying a lot more for a lesser experience. (inflations a bitch) Negatives aside, I still really enjoyed the experience and I look forward to stopping here again soon. It was a great time.

Everything with this club has been top notch from the beginning…read more Having never boated on my own before except for a few jet ski rentals, I was hesitant to jump into owning my own boat or jet ski considering how much cleaning, maintenance, and hassle is involved, as well as insurance and other concerns on the water that I would be encountering with little experience. This is where Freedom really stands out in my mind. Before being able to take any boats on my own, I had to have a PowerPoint and an on-water training with Captain Rick (who is awesome btw!). I can say very confidently that the time spent with him was worth the buy in to the club on its own. I now feel very confident on the water, so much so that I immediately took a boat out myself and spent the entire day on the water. I explored the intracoastal from sea isle back to AC and then took a trip half way up the egg harbor river. I had no trouble navigating and knew exactly how to approach other boats, dock, etc. The boats are all very new and well taken care of. They have pontoon boats, bowriders, center and dual console boats for fishing or water sports,, and they are always purchasing new boats as the membership grows. Some can be used offshore up to 25 miles. You have to take a training for that, but as a new boater I wouldn't want to head out into the ocean without that training. They will give you unlimited training so that you are as comfortable and safe as possible while out there. As a father of three I feel this is the most important thing. All of the boats have garmin navigation and charts outlining local restaurants and points of interest. This makes it pretty easy to not hit the shallows or get stuck on a sandbar. But since i got the upgraded insurance plan, towing and repairs are covered 100%. Being a new boater and given the amount of things that can go wrong on the water, this gives me a ton of peace of mind. In fact my first day on the water I drifted into some mud and was easily able to get myself out without any problems and was on my merry way. They keep a ratio of 8 members per boat meaning they buy a new boat every time they add 8 members. From talking with other members and captain Rick, it's not hard to get a boat most times and they have only ever had all boats out once or twice on the same day. I did the weekday plan so I don't have to fight the tourists for boats on the weekend but my understanding is the weekends aren't that bad especially because they have opened other locations in Cape May and Delran as well as in Delaware and New York. You get unlimited access to boats at all of the locations owned by this franchise, I believe it's 8 locations and counting so far. The best part about this club is all of the almost 300 other locations across the country and a few in Europe that you can rent from four times per year each. We plan on planning our vacations around their locations all over the country in not only ocean locations but also lakes and rivers. There isn't enough days In the year to exhaust all of those reciprocal reservations. Some locations have pontoons with water slides even. I also work all over the country so this will really be a much needed reprieve when I'm working. But add to that that I don't have to worry about maintenance, insurance, towing, etc. You have dock staff that caters to your every need, and I can just walk into the dock, hop on a boat, and be out in the bay in five minutes. This boat club is great for people that love boating because of the varied choices of boats, but also because it is so easy and hassle free. I'm not sure I ever see myself buying my own boat. My only disappointment with the club is that they don't have jetskis. I believe that with the training they give , they can definitely find a way to incorporate jetskis and still have favorable insurance coverage. I may buy a jetski at some point but as far as boats, why buy my own when I have access to thousands of boats across the country? 10/10 recommend if you are in the market for a boat, check this out before you buy one.

What a great find! The Somers Point Paddle Club has such a peaceful, beautiful waterfront setting that it's impossible not to relax the minute you walk in. The pools, food and drink are amazing and the staff are friendly, welcoming and attentive. Christine, Kayla and Leigh make you feel right at home. Space is plentiful and the views are picture worthy. The atmosphere is beautiful and feels like you are at an upscale resort. The staff are friendly and helpful. The cocktails are delicious! For food, I highly recommend the crispy tuna rolls! This was my first trip back to AC since 2019 and this pool has seen better days. Our 3 days visiting were a mixed bag. The best server at the pool is Brenna, a sweetheart who sincerely loves her job. Otherwise it's loads of young kids (and even one older bartender on Tuesday that was rude and genuinely could give 0 you know what's) "working" (on their phones, huddled in the towel cabana). The best deal is the bucket of beers or hard seltzer, and the pita and vegetarian dip appetizer (our favorite). The ground on Monday morning was sticky and dirty and the water needed to be skimmed. However the strict no children after 2 pm rule was a god send (can we stop bringing children to AC?) and security is on it. This place is torn between no one caring about it and security upholding rules.
