We continue (might be past tense after this visit as we think it's time to try Borgota if we ever return to AC) to stay at the golden nugget mainly because of the location (we don't do the boardwalk) and this pool. This was my first trip back to AC since 2019 and this pool has seen better days. Our 3 days visiting were a mixed bag. The best server at the pool is Brenna, a sweetheart who sincerely loves her job. Otherwise it's loads of young kids (and even one older bartender on Tuesday that was rude and genuinely could give 0 you know what's) "working" (on their phones, huddled in the towel cabana). The best deal is the bucket of beers or hard seltzer, and the pita and vegetarian dip appetizer (our favorite). The ground on Monday morning was sticky and dirty and the water needed to be skimmed. However the strict no children after 2 pm rule was a god send (can we stop bringing children to AC?) and security is on it. This place is torn between no one caring about it and security upholding rules. read more

There was a group of people smoking pot and it kind of smelled the whole area which I had to leave but I highly recommend the pool bar and it's a great place to relax. I would go back to stay at the Golden Nugget because of the pool, pool area, lounge chairs, view, and lunch!!! The pool area is huge and the DJ on Saturday afternoon was amazing. We ate lunch at the tables by the hot tubs, and the food was delicious. I will dream of the vegetarian appetizer...hummus, guacamole, bruschetta, and olive topanade with pitas...a must!!! My friend and I started visiting this place earlier in the summer and honestly I didn't even know it existed. The reason is because it's located at the golden nugget which is kind of off the beaten path when you're in AC. I do recommend this place! The food is good, the drinks are good and it's a good time! So my review is possibly closer to 3&1/2 stars but I don't quite think it deserves a 4 star review. Regardless there were some positives for sure, first is the pool itself. I really enjoyed the lounge chairs in the shallow end. It was a cool concept and you don't have to get your hair wet which I hate. I didn't go in the 4 ft end though to review that area. Our waitress was nice and was always coming around making sure we had everything we needed. I loved the pina colada that I got it was made very well but I wasn't crazy about the mojito they made me. It was probably made by a different bartender and it wasn't my favorite. Something that I didn't really love was the fact that their cabanas were so enclosed. Isn't the point to be outside a bit? They were so dark and let in zero sunlight and we actually decided to forego the cabana and paid for two daybeds instead which was the way to go, and then you can be in the sunlight and you can pay $20 for an umbrella if you really needed it. The food was just okay. So many fried options and the portions were on the small side. Nothing to write home about. Overall the place was definitely cool, it reminded me of the old Nikki Beach that was across from Resorts back in the day and I really loved that place. I would definitely come back again! read more

But do you know what ruins a great pool party with great music and alcohol? 100 kids jumping and splashing! If you think you can relax, you can't! It's romper room. If you thought you would get similar to a Vegas pool party, you don't! It's romper room. For whatever reason, these parents think Atlantic City is a great family vacation! It ruins it for the adults looking to spend money on relaxation and alcohol. And these parents don't keep the kids controlled, they are running around and annoying the adults spending the money. They even have an adults only pool that no one monitors, there are kids in there too splashing and acting like jerks. Big fail to the Golden Nugget and the security here. I feel bad for the hard working servers who would probably make more money if the crowds of kids weren't scaring away the adults with the money! We were even harassed by a guy who was upset we didn't want to share our area with him, his wife, his mom, and his 3 kids. We had a couch area and would have shared with the one lady, but then she called over a whole family. I was so excited to have enjoyed my afternoon here. The hotel I was staying at did not have a pool, so my BF and I took a trip to the Golden Nugget . He said he heard great thing and surely he wasn't lying. Located on the 6th fl of the GN, you have an amazing view. 4 decent size hot tubs, an enormous heated pool, and some chairs located in a shallow pool to cool off. If you want to relax you have plenty of comfy chairs, beds or cabanas to choose from. The price for the cabanas range from $200-2,000, depending on the day and month. Whoa... After relaxing in the hot tub it started to rain so I made my way towards the fire pits and lounged on the couch and ordered some food and drinks. FOOD- everything I had was pretty darn tasty. The goat cheese, fig pizza was absolutely Delish. My Cali burger was good as well. DRINKS- my fav, okkie dokey, frozen lemonade/iced tea. Very strong. Miami vice was too sweet, you may want to skip that. Our waitress, Claudia was a doll and so attentive. When I got the bill, the price was excellent!!!! Thumbs up for a good not so exp menu. After indulging in all of this, we took a nap. I looked around and everyone was doing the same. Plenty of tvs all around to keep you entertained. Only thing I didn't like was the rain seeped in thru the awning and kept dripping on me but don't worry, plenty of towels to cover up with :) I definitely will be returning in the near future. read more

My wife loves to hang out at the different resort pools in AC. She said it "feels like were on vaca." That being said, this is her and my favorite. Worst Pool ever!!! Their music sucked so my one friend and I had a small speaker, we asked our server if it was okay she said yes. All the sudden three security come out telling us ALL to leave! (Even those we didn't know who enjoyed our music) No warning or anything. The manager judged us because of how we looked and hid behind the bar while security tried to strong arm the group that was in the hot tub with us.. a friend stated she came the day before & "white people" had speakers and they were okay to stay all night long. I'm a big fan of H20 Pool & Bar. I usually relax at the pool whenever I'm staying at Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. The view is beautiful looking over the marina. It's a great place to relax and soak up some sun. There are hot tubs,televisions, and a fire pit for all guests. You can purchase cabanas as well. The pool waitress brings drinks to your lounge chairs. The food is hit or miss depending on what you're ordering. I usually get excellent service from the wait staff at the pool. H2O Pool & Bar is a great new place in AC for drinks and sun. Entry is included with a hotel stay. Towels are available when you enter. I really loved the loungers. Very comfy cushions and easy to fall asleep. They have some type of anti-seagull nets up. I had the cheeseburger for lunch. It was actually a very good burger with lettuce tomato and served with fries. Drinks are also available. Little pricy but that's what you can expect for poolside service. read more

Great place to spend the day! They have 4 hot tubs, a large swimming pool, a shallow pool with built in lounge chairs, all surrounded by plush lounge chairs. You can rent private covered cabanas if you want to stay out of the sun, but they also have couches and fire pits in a covered area right next to the bar. The service was fabulous and our waitress checked in with us often and brought us our drinks quickly. Overall the whole area was very clean and spacious and the rooftop views of Atlantic City were great. I will be back for sure and can't wait to bring my friends! read more

Great time at this pool bar. Came here for the day in June 2016. $25 a person to get in if not stayng at Golden Nugget. Free if staying at the hotel. Noticed how clean, organized and helpful staff here were. Pool is decent sized. Bar areas are big with lots of space to hang out. One negative is how tight they pack the lounge chairs in. My family and I visited during the pandemic. My family consists of two adults and a tween age girl. There are moments where the pool does get a bit crowded because, the pool itself is small. My daughter was not allowed in particular areas but that didn't present any issues to us at all. I have to agree that there are parents who perhaps are not able to control their kids after all they are kids. The staff was busy but once they get your attention they are very attentive. My husband and I did not use the hot tub since the climate temperature was pretty high. The water of the pool feels cool but once your body gets used to it you end up feeling better. Foods was Ok not something out of this world. There is quiet a lot of smoking around the only thing that did bother me was the cigar smell because,those are extremely strong. After sitting at the pool for a few hours decided to bring some takeout from the H2O restaurant back up to the room, around 5 p.m. Ordered chicken fingers and cheese pizza flatbread. I did not look in the bag until I got up to the room back up on the 19th floor. There was a lot of chicken fingers however absolutely no sauces, no ketchup ,nothing to go with it. The cheese pizza flatbread was the funniest thing I have ever seen. It was $8.50 and it was simply some dough with sauce and melted cheese on it, approximately 7 inches by 2 and 1/2inches. No real crust- should ha e been cooke longer. I was expecting the ling rectangular thin crust flat bread. It was gross. read more

At the pool H20 Shitty bar tender on the marina side where the boats are just got a pitcher of the special lemonade drink with mint got 3 cups worth out of it i even told him we only got 3 Drinks and he did absolutely nothing . The atmosphere was electric but the staff was absolutely horrendous. And the the service out weighted the pool so we left and went to The HQ2AC pool party. We had a group of guys and girls we had 6 chairs the girls went for a walk and then one of the waitresses or bartenders came over and said that we couldn't save them and was being extremely rude them we didn't want to argue anymore and she ended up giving it to someone I supposed was her friends or something it was completely bull shit went to talk to someone about it and they said oh well and everybody was rude and ignorant and we spent $400 in a half hour getting in and drinks. The had to pay to get into HQ2 where we got a table just to not have to waste money on cover again. I wish it wasn't like that I'm coming back down from Boston in July with a group of 12 people and I would have loved to go back because the pool is really nice and chill. read more
