I don't know how she managed to get pictures of all the uniqueness that are teenagers, but she did and she did it 150% better than I ever hoped! When I was introduced to Michelle, I was 1-year postpartum with my first baby and not feeling like…read moremyself, let alone beautiful. She challenged me to have my portrait taken. Even though I dreamed of having that experience, I felt hesitant and compared myself to other more beautiful woman, questioning if it was right for me. I had a new body, and not necessarily one I loved. She reassured me that her team would give me a much-needed day of pampering and promised to create the most beautiful photographs I have ever seen of myself. Michelle delivered on that promise. One portrait is now hanging as a center-piece on our wall and my baby will grow up looking at it every day. When I've aged or even passed, he will cherish that portrait and remember the version of his mom he loves most, the version who was young, vibrant and confident. That alone is worth the experience. I also get to look at that portrait everyday and remember to love myself. It reminds me to value myself as a woman, as a wife, as a mother and as a small business owner. I get to admire and envy my own portraits everyday, and that is everything. Aside from her amazing talent as an artist, she is also an amazing person. I can't say enough good things about Michelle. She loves connecting with people and I've made a friend for life. She showed (and continues to show) me a lot of respect and genuine kindness. Finally, when we were able to see the proofs she had, we were extremely disappointed, sadly was only able to pick but a few favorites. She kept repeating to us now remember these aren't touched up, that it just seemed very odd and unprofessional. Not to mention, I wanted photos of us to look more natural, not all filtered. My make up was lighter than my neck. Would've been nice for my face to match my neck at least. But via Zoom call on the computer thumbing through. They just looked horrible. It rained that day so when we were outside doing the so-called garden shoot in the rain. Ugh along with a large deposit to which didn't receive any of it back or any photos. She and I had several text back-and-forth on my end goal to work something out. I had only picked four or five pictures asked her for a smaller package. She said that is not something that's available. They were extremely expensive packages i wish i would've checked that out before I even made an appointment. Definitely not worth it so disappointed when I saw the pictures. My daughter actually didn't want any of them, so I was left to try to figure out which ones I would even consider purchasing in a package. She didn't offer smaller packages apparently. After like I said several text messages back-and-forth. She said if I didn't pay on September 1, if I remember correctly, like $1600 for a package my file would be deleted. I would be out my $500 deposit. with nothing to show for it. Just simply a waste of time and money to i wouldn't recommend this lady to anyone. She shot details of our baby that day that quickly faded away, but becuase she shot them we have those pictures for life. Kim has taken numerous other pictures for our family and every shoot was even better than the last! She has developed a relationship with each one of our 3 children, and knows just the right thing to do to put that smile on their face. This is an overdue review. Kelly. Is. AWESOME. So there's the short answer. Next: details!…read more We used Kelly for our maternity pics as well as our newborn pics. Kelly is laid back and easy to get along with. She's very down to earth and our kind of people. She was simply a pleasure to work with. We did the maternity pics at the Dallas Arboretum, per her suggestion, and we covered a lot of territory - and we got a lot of beautiful pictures! Lot of different angles, lot of different backgrounds, lot of flattering angles, and many great family shots to boot. She was so good with our son, who was only 3 at the time. Extra bonus: she has a membership there and can bring guests, so we got free entry to the Arboretum as part of our photo shoot. Next up were newborn pics. Kelly scheduled 3 hours and I thought, nah, our baby is laid back and this'll take an hour or so. Oh so wrong. Five hours later... Just like our son, our daughter knew just when to NOT be sleepy and pose-able for newborn pics. And Kelly was ever-so-patient and wonderful and stayed well past our originally scheduled time slot. After it was so hard to get the baby pics, I was pretty nervous they wouldn't turn out well. Baby was wakeful and moving and fussy and... ugh. I just knew we'd be disappointed. We waited not so patiently for our pictures... and when they arrived, RELIEF. They were GORGEOUS! Lots of great shots to choose from! We were so impressed! Kelly's 5 hours of patience and tenacity paid off! Speaking of paid off, did I mention Kelly is VERY reasonably priced? I won't quote anything here because I realize markets change and her rates could change, but she was WAY cheaper than most professional photographers. So not only did we get a great deal, but we got beautiful, professional-quality photos as well. We really couldn't be happier. Only other note: Kelly is a working mom and she's pretty popular. Don't get too impatient waiting for your pictures. Just know good things are coming your way. :)
