They play the same songs at about the same time and it probably isn't a coincidence. Each station probably fears losing its listeners according to which song might be playing. When it first started HOT 107 played 10,000 songs commercial free which lasted a really long time and now it is just commercial free Monday's (also like the bounce). One thing I do enjoy about this station is that they are on the air with Ryan Seacrest 11am - 3pm, Monday to Friday. I get bored of hearing the same old Edmonton radio hosts so I welcome the change. You can pretty expect much of the same from this station as the bounce. I do like how they compete against each other and that gives me more options now. If one's playing crappy music I just tune in to the next one.

The music isn't bad, but there is a lot that they play that I hate. I do like the radio personalities they have on in the morning. Pepper & Dylan used to annoy me a lot, but now I like listening to them on my early morning drive. Truth is, I switch back and forth between this station and Hot 107, but I prefer this station to Hot 107 because it has local hosts, unlike Hot 107 that has Ryan Seacrest hosting from god knows where.

Don't get me started on the commercials. I feel like you have to wait 10 minutes before you get to hear a single song. I think Hot 107 plays a better selection of music and they change it up from pop to r&b to hip hop often so it keeps things fresh. They also have less commercials. I think the Bounce might be losing steam.

They play a great rock, pop, and new wave music from the 70s to 2000s. One minute it could be KISS and then the next is Rick Astley! Every hour they have Cruz Control where listeners can vote on the website or app for the song of the hour between 3 songs. The app has concert information, song lists, and contests through their Cruz Club. They give away concert tickets, but they had awesome contests giving away 3 cruises; Caribbean, European, and the KISS cruise, and trips to Antigua! The radio personalities are great, and Claire in the afternoons often makes me laugh with her chat. She's really engaged on social media and texting too. Love this radio station while working, exercising, or in the car!

Located just off Stony Plain Road in the complex that also houses CTV (across the street from Walmart). The parking lot is a little stranger and basically behind the building and off to the side (West if you are standing on Stony Plain Road and looking at the building). They have an intercom buzzer system here to get in, so don't stand at the door confused like me; come to think of it, I think this is the only radio station in town where I had to be "buzzed" in. They do tons of giveaways on air and some pretty significant ones, too. Like the current Spring KaChing where they give away 5K 5 times a day to caller 30 - Yep, it's that simple! Now, all I have to do is actually get through on the phone.

I came to this actual building for a tour of their music library as part of an Edmonton Public Library Learn Downtown event and was wowed about the purpose-built space. The music collection is lovely and there really is more space down here than I expected. This area isn't normally open to the public but it is essential for the DJs preparing their setlists. We also saw some really great old-fashioned media. I wish I could have stayed longer and seen more. I'm super happy to have been able to visit the music library and get an even greater appreciation for one of my all-time favourite radio stations.

No food but they had free snacks - hard pretzels and chocolate covered strawberries. Entrance Fee was $20 it's cash only. So don't spend your only money on a CD then head out to Jasper Ave to find a cash machine like me. Inside it's pretty and the twinkling fairy lights make the space really appealing. There is lots of room for high tables and audience seating, as well as standing area in front of the stage. A great space for about 80 people. Cool place to hang and watch live music.

They play a lot of Heart, Tom Petty and U2 and apparently that's what I need in the AM. So I dig that. They always have contests for trips to amazing concerts in the U.S. which I never enter. Rob and Audie have their morning show and are veterans in the business. They should get rid of the Morning Mindbender though. They ask a question and have people calling in with their guess. With the internet, most people can just find the answer. I also liked Shane Michaels with the afternoon show. They have the Hall of Fame weekends and will play songs from featured artists. I became bored with the repeated songs, and found a new radio station that is now my main one. I will still listen to CapFM when nothing is good on the other station I tune into. They also have a great listener club that you can accumulate points and redeem for event tickets.
