Sonic is a drive up fast food place with oodles of options for food and drinks. For every trip here, you can expect at least one item to be forgotten or fouled up. I ordered a large onion ring but got a large container half filled. It was exactly the same amount as the medium one we ordered. The onion rings were really hard and most of the batter was blown off. This is worst Sonic location I've ever been to- across multiple states, counties, etc. They consistently take 20-30 minutes to get you your order, if they even remember you're waiting there. No idea who manages or owns this location, but they really need to either clean house and start new with employees or give up the ghost. read more

TERRIBLE. This is fucking horrid! Took nearly 2 hours of waiting just for the dang nerds slush!! Had about 100 other dudes drive in, receive their order, and head on out- still no order for me. When I finally received my slushie, there were maggots, roaches, all sorts of things in it. Gross experience. Today will be my last visit to the Azle location. Even after talking with Danielle at the last visit, nothing changed. I ordered on the app and showed up five minutes early. My food came out at the scheduled time and my fries and tots were Luke warm at best. In addition, my shakes were already melting. Fortunately, the server took the fries and tots back to get me some fresh ones. Unfortunately, it took fifteen minutes to get them. Yadda yadda yadda... SONIC IN AZLE SUCKS, we all know that. But here's another silly little story about how these children at Sonic act. Took me 30 minutes to get 2 drinks. I expected this. But when I ordered a slush with nerds and cherry flavoring, and didn't receive any nerds or cherry flavoring I then had to press the button and wait again. They never answered. I ended up having to go to the door and catch someone. They made me a new one with no problem. All they asked is I throw the old one away. NOT. I'll take this in exchange for wasting my time. The thing that gets me is they poured cherry flavoring in it because I guess I pissed them off? It's like cherry syrup with some crushed up ice! Oh and thanks for the pile of nerds. The funniest thing is nothing was negative in any of the exchanges, they are just children that do not care. It obviously got their puberty worked up for me to come back and request a simple slush made the way I paid for it to be. Also, I do DoorDash deliveries. And it is a complete joke picking anything up from here. They demand dashers do not press their button, instead we have to come stand outside their door.. I understand you want me to come get it but you need a pickup window or something if you're going to expect everyone to just stand there. Whatever. Not a big deal. But earlier this same day, I was doing some deliveries and overheard an unhappy customer. From what I'd heard, the customer requested something with his order and the carhop claimed she would be right back. As you may have guessed, she never did. And like anyone would be, he was upset but not out of line. She told him she'd be right back AGAIN, and that she was sorry and then proceeded to turn around and mumble that he's being unnecessary. I have ordered here multiple times before, and this is my general take from Sonic Drive-In. I typically order through the SONIC app and pick it up in person. It's easier to pay, faster, and more convenient. There are also times when I would receive rewards -- but the main reason I order using the SONIC app is for the all-day, everyday half-off on drinks. My problem with Sonic Drive-In is the last time I ordered drinks, I waited 40 minutes to receive my drink. I can understand when it was busy -- because it was hectic and busy during that time -- but there were people who came in after me, leaving before me. 10 minutes in, I decided to ring up someone to ask about my order. I was told that my order was on the way -- okay, I thought it was a bit odd because my name usually pops up on the screen after inputting the stall I was at, but the typical menu was on the screen, so I thought it disappeared after a while. When 30 minutes have gone by, I decided to ring them up again -- didn't want to ring them too early to rush them because it was on the way and it was still crowded. Well, apparently my order was lost and they had to remake my order. 10 minutes later, my order came out. After waiting a whopping 40 minutes, I wasn't offered any incentives, just a quick apology. Another time I had problems with Sonic Drive-In was when I ordered the Strawberry Cheesecake Blast -- apparently, they were no longer serving any Cheesecake Blast. I know that these Cheesecake Blasts were only available for a limited time, but the ending date was nowhere near and the Cheesecake Blast(s) was still an option on the SONIC app. Instead of refunding the amount for the Cheesecake Blast, they offered me a Strawberry Shake as a replacement. They didn't offer to refund the difference -- I had to ask. Either way, I would still return for their drinks because it's cheap and delicious, especially during this time of year. read more

One nice thing, almost all sonics are the same so you can depend on getting the same quality of food almost everywhere you go. The double cheeseburgers here are great, and I really do like the foot-long chili cheese dog. I always prefer the tater tot's over the french fries. But sometimes I do like to eat the onion rings and they're usually pretty good. read more

This has to be the worst Sonic I have ever visited. Don't try to order anything in the evening as there appears to be no adult leadership. The mobile app works only occasionally. For some reason I am unfortunate enough to get the same kid every time who doesn't know how to do a manual check in. Food is hit or miss. Again, I am a member of the "Couldn't give a zero" club.... I ordered my lunch off of the sonic app for the same reason everyone esle does....Half price drinks and food would be ready when I got there. I was smart this time, because it always takes longer to get the food than they tell you, and I ordred it to be picked up at 2pm (I ordred it at 1:30), so they had 30 minutes to get the order done. My daughter got there at 2:05 and pushed the button to ask for the order. They had not even started the order. When she asked why, the kid on the speaker said that nobody had pushed the button to receive the online orders. Well, at least it would be fresh, right????WRONG!!!!! At 2:56, after asking a second time at 2:35 where the order was and being told it got "lost" and they restarted it, she got the order. Immediately, she picked up a drink with the lid apparently not completely on it from the carhop, and the entire drink landed in her lap and all over the seat. No apology from the carhop or even an attempt to replace it. She was so frustrated, she just came home. You would think this was it right??? WRONG!!!! I looked to find, shockingly (arcasm), that it is missing the most expensive burger of the order, everythign is cold and soggy, and all of the tots are upside down, leaving a big bag of tots and five empty containers on top. So smart. So I had to call to get the burger replaced and the drink remade. I was hung up on by Andrew three times waiting on a manger. His answer to me when I mentioned this was "it wasn't me that did it". Like I cared who hung up....I FINALLY got Una, the "manager". It took me ten minutes just to explain to her that it was now 90 minutes past the time I originally ordered, and everyone had eated except me, since I had the missing burger. Her answer was to let them know any time this week that it was missing, and they would replace it. Any time this week??? How about now, since I am still without a lunch? So after taking my burger info and drink info again, she told me at 3:10 that I could come right up and get it. My daughter then trudged back up to sonic wearing sweat pants because her jeans were soaked in Dr Pepper. at 3:15, she asked for Una like we were told to get the burger and drink. At 3:50, she called me bacuse NOBODY had come out to her. So I called them, got hung up on AGAIN, then got Una. I then told her that my kid had been sitting outside for over 30 minutes waiting on the same burger that was supposed to be ready when she got there. My daighter pulled into the house at 4:20. Yes, three hours after I ordered, I finally got a soggy, cold burger with the onions that I expressly told her to not put on because I am allergic. So I just ate a peanut butter sandwich and fed the burger to the dogs. Let that be my lesson. I am sure I could complain to the general manager, Danielle Lunsford, but from looking at the past complaints on theis place, I can see she doesn't give a hoot if this place can't get it together because it continues still today. Maybe she should invest in more training and more pride in her store. How embarrassing for her that this is the view in which she is seen by her community. Advice: order drinks only from this sonic, as those are hard to screw up, and be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes to get them. read more

My husband goes everyday to pick me up drinks for the evening. It is always coke easy ice. Yesterday the coke had a diet taste, which made me sick. Not a little sick, but a lot. He threw the other 2 away. Azle always has a problem. Tired of the people there that think they should get a dollar tip for a dollar drink. They don't ask, they take. I've been here several times and will continue to do so occasionally just because its the closest Sonic. However, it doesn't have the best service. I'd say my orders are only correct half of the time so basically it's a toss up each time you come. The workers aren't exactly polite and the wait time could be improved. Probably need a new manager. Also... Napkins! Still in shock how you can order a whole meal and be given one napkin. One. I feel like extra napkins should be a given for a drive-thru. read more
