The service was ok not even good just ok. Honestly 1 star was over doing it for them. We ordered 5 drinks and we ordered one of them light ice and they fucking added extra ice to it and filled it up 5 drinks in it was gone. A large. The grilled cheeses were burnt and the chili cheese tots were overly salty. So il drive an extra 30 min away for a good drink Definitely not here. So terrible. I went in tonight for the 99 cent corn dog special. I asked if they were freshly made she said no I then asked if I could get mine freshly made and she said they had some coming right up I then ordered 15 corn dogs and when I received my order there were only three fresh ones the rest were old. I really hate to be this person.... But the last 5 times I have been here my cheese dip has been forgotten. This may not seem like a big deal to most but I LOVE my soft pretzel to be accompanied by cheese dip. This location has forgotten my cheese dip SO MANY TIMES that I began to specifically order a "pretzel with cheep dip." Today I thought I was being pranked... I did not think this would continue to happen to me over and over. I take some responsibility as I did not check the bag myself before driving off. Fabulous service and great Sonic food! We're visiting from out of town and have used the Sonic app to order food from here three times in the last few days. The carhops have always been friendly. Tried to order. After five times repeating myself and still being asked what I wanted I left.

this is the worse sonic restaurant in missouri. the manager is a joke. we bought 2 pork tenderloin combos twice now and each time the meat is not crisp, it is cold and the lettuce has brown places all over it. the french fries that came with the combo were cold and tasted like they had been sitting there for hours. they were rubbery. we asked for 2 tubs of ketchup, asked the guy who waited on us at the drive through window were they in the bag and he said "oh yes at the bottom of the bag". they were not!!!!!!!!!! we are seniors and asked for our senior discount, which by the way no one working there knows how to calculate, and they told us we couldn't have a senior discount (i am 70 and my wife is 68) because we already are getting a discount by buying the combo!!!!!! this place is ridiculous. do no bother eating here when you can go to burger king, wendys or mcdonalds. read more

I have never had such varying experiences at the same place before. Sometimes I get food and it is great. Other times it is lower quality. They do have consistent quality in their dessert options. The staff is mostly great but I have had instances of asking for things I didn't get and once the person at the drive through shut the window and forgot to give me my change and just walked away. I wonder every time I pull up if there will be any surprises. Overall I would say to go for it if you are looking for something cheap and quick. read more

There's nothing better on a hot summer day than a delicious Cherry Limeade! This location is a pretty standard Sonic as far as the drive-in stalls and a small front patio to eat. The staff is MUCH more friendly than any other Sonic location I've visited from Missouri to California! I don't know what's different, but they are great, and always friendly even when they make a mistake. read more

Sonic used to be my favorite fast food joint in Bolivar. The food and service has went down hill dramatically over the years but I do find my self stopping in from time to time in hopes that I will be as happy as I used to be when visiting this place. Sorry to say, I think it's just over for me....I went a couple weeks ago for the first time since COVID began only to find they weren't accepting any kind of payment but cash. The app on my phone wasn't working either and since I very rarely carry cash these days, I left disappointed. Decided to try it again 2 weeks later. Guess what? They were still not accepting anything but cash! The app. was also still not working and it was just for my local Sonic. It was working for other area Sonics so I'm not sure what the deal was there. So I ran to the bank, got cash and ordered the burger that they were advertising as the new menu item only to be told they weren't available. By now I've just settled with what I could get. A regular burger with tater tots. The burger was fine but the tator tots tasted like the oil they fried them in was old and used up. I decided to email Sonic as that's what they want you to do when you have a bad experience right? And since it was the second time in a 2 week period I felt it warranted contacting customer service. They responded the next day after sending an email to them, and apologized and offered a free meal on the app. I'm sorry, what?? I've explained the app is not working yet you're offering restitution through the very app. that doesn't work? Ok lol, my response was I appreciate the free meal to make everything right, and with that I would be willing to give them one more try, however since the app wasn't working could they please just send a coupon? No response from them.....crickets... they went silent. To date, I have not heard from them, I do see that the app. Is working again but I never received the free meal. Very poor customer service, and in this day and age where nearly all transactions happen with a card, 2 weeks for them to not accept cards is way too long! What's most disappointing is the lack of care that they have for their customers. What happened to great or even good customer service? They just don't care. read more

I would like to give Sonic a 0 stars review if I could. Sonic USED to be my favorite fast-food restaurant for years but not in the last year or so. I got a text today for a buy 1 get 1 free cheeseburger combo. I went and ordered that and a popcorn chicken combo which by my best estimation from the prices on the order window should not have been over $15 or $16. The person taking my order told me the total was $22 so I asked him if that was the correct price with the BOGO free offer. He tried to explain to me how he came up with the total but it made no sense. When I received my food, I checked my receipt. Such deceptive advertising......they had charged for the individual food items instead of combo pricing so it was NOT a BOGO free combo. After much disgust with some of the deceptive practices at Sonic, I will not be returning. This is after me being a pretty constant customer for almost 25 years. My eating and more importantly my drinking (RT. 44) habits will have to change because I won't be returning to a Sonic. You have lost me as a customer as a result of your deceptiveness. read more
