This company is unreliable, dishonest and uncommunicative. I hired them through an app called…read moreuShip, to move my son and me from a storage unit in Asheville, NC, to a 55+ apartment complex in Wilmington, NC, after my divorce. Natasha, the owner, agreed to a pickup date on a Saturday, with the delivery the next day. Prior to the agreed-upon date, she asked if we could move back the pickup day from Saturday to Sunday, with delivery later that day. I said sure, that should work.
I drove to Wilmington to get the apartment ready and wait for the shipment. My son stayed in Asheville and waited for the movers to arrive to our storage unit. I asked more than once for Natasha to have the driver contact my son by Saturday night so he'd know what time to meet the movers at the storage facilty the next morning. They never contacted him. The next morning, I texted her again and asked for an ETA. She said 11:30 a.m. My son drove over to the storage unit and waited. And waited. No sign of them.
After trying to get a straight answer out of Natasha, she finally called me and admitted that she was having trouble with uShip for some communication violations and had been having this issue for a week and a half, and didn't know if the money for our move would be released to her, so she couldn't send her movers until she knew that they would be paid. Turns out, they weren't even in North Carolina yet, they still were in Georgia! I was shocked that she never gave me any inclination that there was a problem with our scheduled move. I told her I would cancel the move on uShip and just pay them directly, but we were counting on them getting there and doing the pickup ASAP. I was going to return to Asheville on Monday and needed them to deliver that weekend as promised.
Natasha then promised that the guys were on their way, but she soon was again unresponsive and dishonest when my son and I both asked for updates on their arrival time. My son went back to the storage facility to wait for them at another promised time, and again they made him wait there with no one showing up for a long time.
By this time, it was around 5:30 p.m., and she told me they were just arriving to the storage unit. I knew that it would be a drive of 5.5 hours to get to Wilmington, after maybe an hour of loading everything up in their truck. I said that it would be too late at night for them to move all my furniture and things into a senior apartment complex so late (probably would be at least midnight). I asked for them to deliver it the next morning around 9:00, and she refused, saying that the guys had to get back to Atlanta and couldn't wait on the side of the road. I know they could have stayed in a motel on the way, but our move was NOT a priority for Natasha and her company. She expected us to work around their chaotic schedule, just disregarding any agreement that we had had.
So I ended up canceling with them (after my son paid the driver $200 for gas), and I would NEVER work with this company again and recommend that others stay far, far away from them. I have used several other service providers on uShip for moving and other tasks, and I've never had an issue like this before. R&R Pro Dispatching is NOT a good company, and they are NOT pros. Beware!
