This business has changed ownership and is no longer the reputable key shop we once did business with for years! BEWARE! I needed 4 locks rekeyed to the home. The woman answered the call and had subsequent people take up the request. I thought I was dealing with the original owner, but I found out otherwise!!! I received multiple calls that you will see in the post. A kind male who referred to himself as Alex, from Israel, arrived at the home in the afternoon to rekey 4 locks at $55 each - and 8 keys from $5 each. He said to make to Jonny key - I asked him if he was Sonny's Key shop as that is who I thought I was dealing with. He did not answer! The check was written for $260. After several hours of trying to rekey- Alex only completed rekeying 2 locks. The person there gave him a Venmo payment of $195. On Tuesday multiple calls were made to Alex who performed the services- he agreed to fix the locks the following day- never showed up!!!! On Wednesday, I physically went to Sonny's. The Spanish speaking lady called Jose G - FaceTime - They Both denied services and refused to take responsibilities for the service that was NOT performed! Jose was driving his big car and stated that his business had been "hi-jacked!" Well- we are the ones who lost out!!! I parked in front of the business and took pictures of the shop And the lady telling her - I'm going to give you a bad review! While I took photos of the business with her in it- she told me not to do that / she covered her face and took pictures of my license plate. Now- if a business claims no wrongdoing- why would they do that. I truly feel insecure about this event !!!! Beware!!!! Be safe!!!! I needed a backup key (non-key fob) for my car. When I called, I was told that a laser cut key would cost $35. Upon arrival, they checked my key and noticed that a regular key would be fine. They had me test the two possible fits to my car and see which turned the lock mechanism. After I did that, they made my copy of my key in a minute. Since it was a regular key made that did not require to be laser cut, I was charged just $5! That was a really good price. I uses the new key on the drive home and zero issues have popped up. If you need a regular key made, this keysmith is one you should consider going to! read more

Glad I read the reviews warning about this place. They don't have a shop, they just dispatch random mobile techs. Pictures show a booth, that doesn't exist. They wouldn't quote a price, so prepare to over-pay. I just wanted 1 re-key and I'm able to bring lock to a shop, so these guys seemed like a scary option. Multiple Flags here. read more

WOW, what an awesome job!!! I had one VERY OLD key and three others made and they had all the keys I needed. It took maybe 5 minutes the prices were great, but the service was so wonderful. She talked to my three year old about the keys and let him leave with his own Mickey key. The keys work perfect and the kindness of the lady working was endearing. Car keys broke, ended up calling a locksmith place in Whittier. They weren't able to help me but they recommended Sonny's key shop to me and said if anyone would have it it would be this guy. Went in today and it was quick. I ended up doing other keys there too. Quick , Very easy to find , and you're also able to pay with card / apple pay. The price was very good as well. BEWARE OF THESE SCAMMERS!!!! Apparently this YELP page has been hijacked by scammers. Here's what happened: I paid for a lock smith service and they were supposed to change 3 locks. I did not check the locks before he left, once I went to leave my house I realized none of the locks work. I contacted the people who I called to get the job done and they blocked me. I commented on the thread in Venmo of my dissatisfaction and someone texted me saying they would fix it but they too stopped answering. I went to the physical location where I found this company on yelp and the owner said his YELP page was hijacked and the people now getting referred to his business are being SCAMMED. Please refund this transaction as this is not a legitimate business and they will continue to scam people off this other businesses YELP page . The 23 year old who came to my house was named Alex from Israel....when I went to the physical location the owners claimed to have no idea who he was. If the owner is smart they would shut this page down and start a new one so these SCAMMERS don't take advantage of more people! read more
