Organized a ride with them and they never showed up. Didn't answer my calls trying to see if they were coming.

I ordered a cab in the morning and confirm that it would be there on time. The time it was supposed to show up I sat and waited for half an hour. I called their number and got Recording referring me to another number. The other number was just music playing. I left several messages and never got a return call. I finally had to call a friend to come and pick me up. Will not use their service again! read more

I must say that Sonoma Taxi is the worst, more than I imagined. I called and reserved to be picked up at 2:00. No taxi arrived, I made sure they had my phone number, but not even a call came. I was left standing on the street! I flagged down a stranger driving by. The very sweet woman drove me, out of her way, so that I could pick up my car after getting repairs. My huge Thanks to this very kind woman, who drove a stranger from the side of the road. Sonoma Taxi is not only unreliable, but they are cruel. Never will call them again! FoUr King disgusting service with a liar who answers the phones. On Sunday July 11th at 8:00am I called to order a taxi to pick me up from my house at 11:15 to take me to an 11:30 meeting on Sonoma Plaza. I spoke to a person who told me "You got it". At 11:25 when NO TAXI had shown up I called to see what had happened. All I got was a recorded message saying "this number is busy, call this other number". NO TAXI EVER SHOWED UP. This is a disgusting business practice which, from my experience, is staffed by liars who don't really care about their customers. AVOID: DON'T USE. read more

They drove us to the airport. The driver almost ran over us in the parking lot while picking us up and then proceeded to drive 100+ miles per hour the entire way to the San Francisco airport, weaving through cars and swerving all over the road. We were so scared. Not to mention, they don't have a credit card machine so they take pictures of your credit card. Everyone I was with that used their card got $3000 and $4000 charges on their card from a random LLC. The only place we could think that was doing it is this taxi service. read more

Transportation in Sonoma is skimpy, making it all the more important to find a reliable car. These folks came through for me after challenges with other options. I called, explained the times I'd be needing transpo, and provided info on how far in advance to call. Turned out fine. I was referred by my hotel, and had also heard that Uber wasn't too robust these days (COVID and all). The driver was friendly. The rate was $11 for 2.5 miles. Left us stranded! I can't decide what's worse... a taxi company that continues to say they're "on they're way", or the Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa who recommended the company. We were dropped off by Sonoma Taxi at the Ledson Winery for an evening event and the driver told us to call 30 minutes before we wanted to be picked. At 8:22pm I called them, they said 25 minutes. We quickly purchased some items and went outside beyond the gates so as not to make them wait (silly us). At 8:41pm I called again to let them know we were beyond the gates as I saw other (non Sonoma cabs go through the gates...again, just trying to help out. They told me he's "on his way". 9pm, the event at Ledson is now officially closed and everyone has departed so I call again, he says "15 more minutes". At this point, being two women standing at a deserted event at 9pm in the evening, I call the Fairmont. Lucky for them, they're smarter this time and send Verns cab company. And what do you know, that cab arrives before Sonoma Taxi ever did. And even worse....Sonoma Taxi has yet to even call to see if we got another ride or what happened. Fair warning to all! read more

After having a good experience with another cab company we took Sonoma taxi because it would be available more quickly. We VERY QUICKLY realized that with this taxi company we were being charged an exorbitant amount and in the end paid double what we paid in the last cab. After we asked about the rates due to the difference from our previous experience the driver insisted upon repeatedly telling us how wrong we were and that this was the rate any company would charge. At the end of the trip he told us we could pay a lower amount which we also found suspicious. We paid the full amount and left as fast as we could. We took our original cab company (Vern's) again after that and paid the same very reasonable price we'd paid the first time. Definite two thumbs down. read more

1 Star for showing up. -4 stars for DECEPTIVE business practices. Called them because we were in a pinch and needed a ride from Sonoma to SFO. Normally we would use a car service as they are comparable in price, and much nicer. Their website states $140 1-2 peple, $150 3-4 people from Sonoma to SFO. We get picked up and the driver states that his "boss" who apparently cares more about squeezing you for as much money as they can, instead of having repeat clients. Metered fare ended up being $220 Must have been REALLY busy for you to have been able to actually have a car there and show up. Guess you're struggling and really need that extra bit of money. We went out to dinner downtown Sonoma over the weekend and had one too many drinks. I was a little nervous about how we were going to get back ( we were a good 10 miles away on a private property with dirt roads) but the waiter recommended this taxi company. We had a large group and they sent 2 taxis to us within 6 minutes. We gave their number to some friends who stayed out later. In all honesty, I thought there was no way they would be able to make it back! I was wrong, they got a Sonoma Taxi quickly had no problem getting back to the house late at night. I realize that Bottlerock weekend was an insanely busy time for the Napa/Sonoma area. That is why my husband called Sonoma Taxi a week before the event to see if he could set up a time for pick up/drop off. The gentleman he spoke to said that it wouldn't be a problem and we booked a cab for both Friday and Saturday. However, my husband had to "guarantee" (repeatedly) that we would be on time when the driver came to pick us up after the concert. We were a little disappointed on Friday when the driver was 15+ minutes late picking us from Glen Ellen to drive us to the concert. But all was forgiven when he agreed to pick us up after the concert just a couple of blocks from Napa Expo. Things really went downhill when we showed up, ready to go home, and the driver was nowhere to be found. When I called Sonoma Taxi the dispatcher explained that our driver had "picked up the wrong people" and we would have to wait for 45 minutes to an hour to be picked up. Luckily we found a hotel shuttle driver who offered to drive us home and the next day we cancelled our cab from Sonoma Taxi. Again, I understand that this was a busy weekend. But a company should not make promises that it cannot fulfill. We held up our end of the bargain by showing up on time and Sonoma Taxi failed miserably on their end. If you use a credit card, they charge you $10. This is not written on their website nor did the driver inform us of this. I even asked the driver (we had the same driver over a couple days) if they take credit card and he just said "yes." No mention of the extra charge. Didn't realize this until I saw an overcharge on my credit card statement. I called to have the amount corrected but was told about their credit card policy. Gentleman I spoke to made no effort to change to the correct amount. Recommend Uber (better pricing and service) and to not use this company. If you do, then use cash. read more

Went to Sonoma for a wedding at a winery. Sonoma taxi took us to the winery from The Lodge and drove us back. After arriving back at The Lodge my watch was missing. I had been having problems during the evening with the watch clasp. I assumed I lost the watch at the winery and called them the next day, but no one turned in a watch. Next checked with to hotel, but no watch. As a last resort called Sonoma Taxi and they had the watch. This was a men's gold dress watch worth $600.00 dollars and they promptly returned the watch. We normally use Verns, but in a crunch when Verns is busy we've tried to use Sonoma Taxi on a couple of occasions. However every time they have disappointed! Gets you from A to B with no fluff. I scheduled my driver the night before my journey and waited 20 minutes past the selected time for them to arrive, only to be picked up by a guy in break away pants, flip flops, a stained T-shirt, and a hat poorly masking greasy hair. I'm not saying I need to be picked up by a cab driver in a tux but the personal hygiene was not up to par. I am not one to get car sick but I felt ill around the winding roads of wine country as we speeded around tight curves at concerning speeds. They also do not have proper credit card machines. They take your number down on paper and get your phone number in case there is an issue running it (which also costs you extra time when you arrive at your destination). This makes me uncomfortable because they wrote it down, and also makes me feel as if they are not investing in their business since they don't have mobile credit card machines (pretty standard in 2017). Would definitely try another transportation service in the future. read more
