This company served as the transportation for guests to/from a wedding at my church last week. The drivers, including Kelly were friendly, helpful and respectful. They made sure that parking their vans at the church did not impede other guests arriving or show up in the pictures. They were on time and the guests were all in a good mood after their ride. An ADA lawsuit will definitely knock that smirk off of your face Karen -- I mean, Kelly. Absolutely mortified at how much knowledge a company can claim to know about ADA guidelines but fails to comprehend that the abilities of service dogs is far expansive beyond that of a guide dog for the blind. It's literally like he hasn't heard of the internet and the last ADA policies he heard about were from 1982... Although judging from the amount of grease in his slicked back mullet, that might not be too far off. For a company that specializes in transportation you think they would have encountered such a situation as not to be naive to how serious his actions and embarrasing of a scene he created is asking for a lawsuit. The tribal casino you are contracting with might have more leanancy to policing their own policies regarding this, but you sir, do not. Don't delete that dashcam video sir. Thank you. read more

Bus ride from hell!! Incompetent bus driver. Bus broke down four times between Petaluma and Ashland, Oregon. While broken down on the side of I-5 at top of pass in Oregon the students were told they would try to "limp" the bus down the mountain. The company didn't send a new bus. They just kept jump starting the bus filled with students. Eventually the company got taxi cabs for most of the students, but there were some who rode down the mountain on the broken bus. A trip that should have taken 5.5 hours took 13 hours. The driver was constantly smoking cigarettes right outside of the bus and the smoke kept coming in the bus. For the trip home the company sent a "new" bus with a broken air conditioner, but they did make it home. I give Thunderstar zero stars! read more

We used this service for our 10/24/15 wedding in Sebastopol. The buses were clean and on time. Leading up to the day, my mom worked with the shuttle service to confirm details, and we had to rely on our venue coordinator for the information the shuttle service needed to plan - which seemed a bit odd to me. I am also giving 3 stars because my groom and I rode the last shuttle from the venue, and the driver was rude to us - which was uncool given the high we were on from an otherwise amazing day. I understand the frustration of carting 100+ drunk people around, but I would think that customer service could prevail at least to the bride and groom. My parents and 4 guests were also stranded at the venue for over an hour, waiting for the shuttle to return. read more

I love Thunderstar! I have used them twice now for large group wine tasting tours from SF and Sonoma County and I can not rave about them enough! The drivers have been incredible, courteous, and always on time. Our most recent bus was truly state of the art and included a bathroom (pretty critical for a long day of wine tasting) and even charging ports between the seats. I would book them again in a heartbeat. read more

I am a travel agent in Northern California. the company I work for and I have been using Thunderstar Stages for about 10 years for transportation for our church youth group. We have been pleased with the service for the majority of the time. However, this most recent trip from Danville to Lake Shasta and back was bad. One of the busses broke down on the way to the lake and had to have a replacement bus sent, holding up the group of 300 in getting camp started. then on the return 6 days later they sent the same bus and the breakdowns were again over and over again until finally they had to coast off the freeway as the bus was so overheated. then they had to wait 1 hour in the hot sun for a replacement bus. When we complained as asked for a refund, they say "well, we got you there and back, so no problem!" Consequently, we will never use this company again and don't recommend that anyone use them. read more

I've never written a yelp review in my life but my interaction with this company's management was possibly the most unprofessional thing I've ever experienced. After giving us a different size bus (a smaller one) than we had asked for and telling us they'd give us a discount for doing so, they proceeded to not give us the discount upon completion of the trip. Also, it was quite a fun surprise when I was told the morning of the trip an hour before our departure that this was happening. They told us that we were lucky they didn't charge us more! The owner of the company literally tried to blame us for giving them the incorrect address, even though this was the address the cabin rental company gave us and the new address was only a couple minutes away. I almost lost it when she then tried to blame us for poor weather conditions. Maybe I should've performed some sort of rain dance or weather ceremony. She even tried to blame us for traffic after the bus had arrived 4 hours late to pick us up on the way back. Our agreed upon pick up time would have been much better due to fewer cars on the road. Her rhetoric and claims (all of which just as ridiculous as the ones I've just mentioned) were blasphemous. I wouldn't be able to make up some of this stuff if I tried. The person who owns the company is probably the most unprofessional and rude person I've dealt with and should never own or even manage a company. The drivers, on the other hand, were lovely people and were extremely helpful. We tipped all of them for great trips and experiences (the company was "kind" enough to give us a van for the reduced space due to the change in bus size so we had to spend even more money tipping twice the number of drivers we expected). I feel sorry for these drivers for having to work for this company. Their kindness and professionalism are deserving of a much more kind and professional company. If you want to use this company I recommend also getting an amazon prime subscription so you can buy a stress ball, some Advil, and a beginners guide on meteorology to send them when they try to blame you for poor weather conditions. read more
