Great vibes for the Sonoma Tuesday market...good music, great food choices and great products! Lovely and spacious lawn selection to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the atmosphere. Had delicious galettes (buckwheat) at Maison Fontaine and a wonderful Kaboom bowl (roasted salad) at Picazo. They also had amazingly crisp and delicious fries as well! The sunflowers at Jesus's stand were so beautiful. A super fun market! read more

Highly recommend a trip to this market if you are in Sonoma. There's a ton of booths that sell handmade goods, honey, soap, fresh picked flowers, fruits and veggies, clothes, etc. They also have a preponderance of food trucks- Mexican, Greek, Italian, seafood, popcorn, ice cream... the list goes on. They have a few places that sell beer and wine. I don't recall seeing any hard liquor. They typically have live music. People bring wagons full of food and drinks, chairs, blankets etc and they camp out for a few hours just enjoying the music and being outside. You can bring your own picnic or you can buy everything there. They are not checking coolers so bring a bottle of wine! Parking is along the street, no designated lot. I heard there are bathrooms for public use in a building on the north west side of the park. This is great people watching and an easy way to have a snack and relax. We had dinner reservations already. Otherwise we would have eaten at one of the delicious food trucks. It's totally free. I believe it's from 4-7. read more

This is a fun market to attend. Great place to socialize, eat good food, drink to your hearts content, and buy local. - They have a variety of food trucks/stands - this year: Mexican food stand, Hopmonk, Tips for Tri Tips, Thai food, Greek food, Paella, Seafood (oysters/fish & chips/calamari), hot dogs, roasted corn - Plenty of sweets: Harvey's Donuts, Sweet Scoops, kettle corn - Local veggies/fruits/wine What many locals do is take lawn chairs, picnic blankets, their own wine bottles, glasses... find a spot any where around the park and truly enjoy the evening. We were very happy to see the farmers market broaden its vendors this year. it has begn to transform it from a boutique market to a real community farmers market. I look forward to the produce further broadening to moderate prices a bit more. read more

WOWZA!! What an extravaganza of a farmer's market this is... first I must say that there isn't much of a produce selection as I expected but the specialty vendors, ambiance and great weather make up for that. I had no idea this place would be popping the most as they say. I have never in my almost 40 years seen so many folks at the park, not even on a holiday weekend. You can tell these locals know how to party it up or picnic it up for sure. Loved the live Mariachi music, they played some classics that had me singing to my son. The food stands had everything from bbq, corn dogs, mexican and even thai food. We opted for a corn dog and a cochinita torta. They were awesome as was the horchata from the Mexican stand. Definitely come early because parking is at a premium. Also bring your picnic blanket and wine! What a great evening out for the whole family even on a school night! Love Sonoma! read more

With all new ventures, there are moments where we let our passions override our common sense. We work hard at providing a market where everyone should have a great evening, this is something we do behind the scenes on a daily basis and it's sometimes hard to shut it down for one day. Very disappointing experience for our family - though it looks and smells good from afar! We drove over from Petaluma for a fun night and much-lauded corn dogs after hearing good things about this market. Also planned to stock up on produce. So after looking up info on website and yelp and looking forward to it all day, the family - and small family dog - headed over. Our visions of a lovely picnic on the grasss were soon changed when we saw a sign on the grass saying no dogs...disappointed, we figured we would not waste the trip, stay on the concrete path to patronize the vendors and buy produce and dinner to go. A few short minutes later a security guard asked us to leave - NO DOGS ALLOWED ANYWHERE on the plaza. So we had to go. And of course it makes you feel badly, like you've done something wrong - certainly unwelcome. The thing is, I really did my research, and no where could I find anything on the website letting the public know they would not be welcome with their four legged friends - in fact, photo galleries include pictures of dogs on the lawn! If this is the place all the locals go on Tuesday night... Wondering why so many smokers are welcome and we are headed back to Petaluma, perplexed... read more
