Also, my house is done and I've been using my HVAC system without issue. They showed up without the proper equipment, explaining their usual equipment was in the shop for service. They used very imprecise hand-held meters, and did a sloppy job taping up the vents as well. When I questioned their methodology, and how they were using their meter, which was visibly open to errors, rather than explain things they got insulted snd angry, saying "now you're just insulting my professionalism." Any explanations they did give were very obviously wrong, and it was obvious they didn't know my level of knowledge and understanding of how this should have been done. They failed my house, charged full price, and said to call for a retest after I have the HVAC installers come out and properly seal the (properly sealed) system. They told me the HVAC installers clearly had no idea what they were doing and did a hack install of my system. I called another testing company the next day, and the HVAC company. Both arrived for a retest, and the HVAC installers were there to resolve any issues that were found. NO ISSUES were found by the second testing company, who were far more professional and actually used the proper equipment. Grizzly wasted my money, my time, and the HVAC company's time coming out for what amounted to a completely unnecessary visit. I'm guessing Grizzly was just looking to get paid for a second retest out of the job, assuming I would just call them back for the second test. Unprofessional, and dishonest would be putting it lightly. In the end, the system they said was installed sloppily and was "hack" work has been functioning completely as it should- efficiently and effectively. Steer clear of this company!

This company has horrible customer service and we have had to call numerous times trying to get a refund of the probiotic system. We leave messages and no return calls. We finally spoke to someone who we had left a message for when they answered the phone on one of our numerous calls. They will not give a refund, as they state they cant take back a used unit. They will come out and replace the unit which means they are taking back a used unit. I wish I had done research online before buying their product. As it is we agreed for them to come out and check on the performance of the project but they are no longer in our area and we have no idea when they will be again. FYI if you get the invitation BEWARE THEY WILL INSTALL WITHIN A FEW DAYS, TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN.

Tested the air conditioning unit to see that it was working as it should, which it was he said he wanted to check on the heater. Showed us a very dirt filter and said all he needed to do was hit it with water to clean it. Alex was very knowledgeable and professional. Just a warning, this review is going to be pretty long. But if you're thinking about reinsulating…read moreyour home, that's a pretty big task, so I'll add as much detail as I can to help you! Background: The credit for green energy was ending in 2025, and I had always wanted to reinsulate my home because it was so cold in winter and super hot in summer. I went through many different companies and seeing how people felt about them, and I saw a lot of horror stories. I called up a few companies and found out that insulation is kind of like roofing, where a sales person and a tech comes, where the tech looks around and the sales person tries to scare you into using their company right then. They might say something like "your attic is super hot" (that's normal, well, up to a point), or "we'll give you a special deal if you say yes right now". Just kind of shady stuff overall. One big thing that people mention is that while insulation is good, you need to airseal your attic as well - this was another thing I was looking to get done. Initial Meeting: So I was kind of expecting that when I called Attic Professional. Fortunately, that was not the case at all! From other reviews you might have figured that the owner, Bryan, is incredibly respectful and treats customers well. I got to experience that as well. One thing I was surprised at is he had inside shoes (the kind you see in Japan) and put them on and off when walking around the house. He went up into my attic and really dug around to look for issues like pests or mold (besides the poor insulation layers). We went around the home together to look for clogged vents. He didn't try to sell me on anything - I remember reading one review that said he didn't try to sell them things they didn't need, and that was my experience too. He said they could put more insulation in on my existing one, or take out the old one and put new one in; but neither would have a substantial difference. I went ahead and asked him to remove the old insulation and put new insulation in just for cleanliness. I even later changed my mind and asked for a custom insulation scheme - some fiberglass batting and mostly blown-in, and he had no problem accommodating that. Oh, and they would include airsealing gaps in the attic with fire resistant foam! Reinsulation: A few weeks later, he and his team brought his truck up to my house. They covered many surfaces with plastic drop cloth to prevent insulation from flying around - they taped doorways so I could come through, and they taped cardboard to corners in the house so their insulation blower tube wouldn't cause damage. They put canvas drop cloths on the floors to protect them. There was a bit of fiberglass and debris around after, but it was very, very minor. I understand how difficult it is to be flawless with cleanup, but these guys were very good. The work was smooth and quick - only a few hours. I didn't have to add much input and the team was in and out. Bryan left for another site for an hour or so, but everyone was just as respectful as Bryan, and they told me he was a very good person to work for. Always nice to see that the employees have a good opinion of the company as well. One thing that I thought was interesting is after they removed all the previous insulation, they let me look at the attic and see how they stapled their measuring tapes. Apparently, some insulation companies will scam their customers and fold up their measuring tapes so it shows more insulation than what's actually in there. I was able to verify myself that all the measuring tapes were correct. Bryan and I did a final check on the attic together and I was very happy. Above and beyond: A month or so later, I was very curious about the insulation and really wanted to optimize the house, so I got one of those FLIR guns (temperature sensor guns) to see if the attic was perfectly insulated. As expected there were a few spots that had a bit of uneven insulation (after all, nobody's perfect), but for the most part everything was good. I sent Bryan a text about these spots, and he immediately he and his crew to come add some more insulation and pack it in. Now everything on the camera looks great. I think it's pretty rare to find such attention to quality, and I was very impressed. Results: In the San Diego weather by home would average 63 degrees when outside it was around 48. Now, the house never drops below 68, and it averages around 72 year round. When it's 85 degrees outside, it might be 76-78 inside. I've seen the temperature inside crack 80 maybe twice in the last year, and never seen it below 65. This is with no heater, no AC running EVER. So TLDR: I would completely recommend using Attic Professional for your insulation. Take a look at their price, but I find their quality far outshines anything I've seen, and I think I got a steal of a deal (with the now-removed credit sadly).

Russell also came over a second time to discuss options for routing our two bath fan exhaust ducts to roof vents when I weighed adding that to our scope. We executed our install over two days in October and everything went smoothly. After air sealing and adding soffit baffling, they blew R30 cellulose over our existing bats. We also added a gasket around our attic access and insulated the back of the panel. My only recommendation is that you, the homeowner, clean your house after the cellulose blowing. There will be fine paper material in the air everywhere, which will settle as dust. Seven months later and our house has been noticeably more temperature stable- warmer over winter and cooler during our recent hot days. Don't skip air-sealing, and make sure to quote with Guardian if you're looking for the best result for your house!

It also became to home to rats, rodents, urine, feces and chewed up belongings. It became obvious that this was a real hazard. Trying to find a company that could perform all the services that would be needed was difficult until I contacted Advanced Insulation System. There are not enough superlatives to describe this company. Everyone I have had contact with is professional, personable and hard working. First they had to empty the contents of the basement, which was an enormous job. I will show photos. Once emptied, the hazardous things, rats, rodents, feces, urine, chewed up belongings were removed. All the areas were sanitized and sealed against any intrusion by creatures. Heavy insulation plastics were used on the foundation and floors and insulation was blown in to seal the entire basement. They assigned workers to assist me in sorting out the contents of the basement. The things that I wanted to keep were sorted and placed in the basement, charity items were separated and they loaded up anything that was not salvageable in their big truck and took it to the dump. It seemed overwhelming until the fellows, who are very organized, helped me make decisions about what to keep, give to charity and throw away. This took many days and the crew were spectacular. They left everything clean and organized. I really appreciate the dedication and expertise they showed in dealing with this unhealthy and messy condition. The employees all represent the company in a positive light and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. I feel that their pricing was fair and everything was done to perfection.

The workers were on time and they were very quick to start and finish. They cleaned up after themselves and were done within 5 hours. Bad part was they missed cleaning an area of the attic, didn't clean off the top of the heating system unit that they said they would do and there were areas that could of used more insulation. I tried to call the site inspector Avi , no response. I called the main office and was told he was on vacation and to call him the next week. After two weeks, I finally received a call back from Avi. Avi asked me to climb up into the attic and take pictures to send to him. I told him that I was not going to climb in the attic and that I was surprised he did not come after the work was complete to ensure it was properly cleaned. He said he would call me back and set up a time for him to inspect. It's now October 2025 and still no site or response from Avi. My advice is that before the workers leave, if you are able to climb and check the attic, do it, because you will never see them again!

On February 27, 2009, a general contractor installed a 97% high-efficiency York Affinity HVAC unit, model YM9M080C16MP11, for $8,680 in our house. The unit worked for about one to two years and then problems started happening. When we wanted heat, it would blow hot for a few minutes and then stop. We would have to turn it off via the thermostat, wait, and then turn it on again. This had to be done multiple times and sometimes the heat would not come on at all. The general contractor came over multiple times, trying to diagnose the issue(s). He even had another technician come from Orange County. They replaced some parts, including the circuit board. Bottom line: the unit never was fixed and has not been working correctly now for at least 15 years. Sonrise Mechanical was referred to me by EJ Reitz. Mike came over and spent at least an hour testing and diagnosing. He was very thorough and explained each step as I stood by and watched. Mike explained our particular York unit was a lemon with design flaws . He has had to remove some of these from other homes, replacing them with Goodman HVAC units, that he recommends.) No one else has ever told me that before about this York unit. Also, I was expecting a costly bill from Mike, but he only charged $120. I highly recommend Sonrise Mechanical for his experience, knowledge, and patience. read more

Just completed our project which was getting a New gas heater and relocating it to the attic. And, installing brand new central a/c which we had not had. He diagnosed the problem in about 5 minutes for free, where as another company I had out did not and tried to charge me for a diagnostic fee. He gave me a few different options for repair and replacement and was trying to figure out ways to save me money in his options/recommendations. Ultimately I went with a full system replacement due to the age of my system, complexity of the issue, and his very fair pricing when compared to some of the other estimates I received from other companies for a full replacement. Eddie and his team performed the replacement in a single day and the quality of their workmanship and professionalism was top notch. Eddie and his team are very honest, friendly, and hard workers, which is incredibly rare in this industry where every company is seemingly trying to scam people into unnecessary repairs or replacements at sky high costs. I can't rave about this company enough and I can't thank them enough…read more My AC unit had been acting up for a few months. Have had other AC companies look at the unit and do patch repairs but it finally just stopped heating or cooling. I wasn't happy with any of the prior companies and finally found DC/AC Air Conditioning and Heating. Stephan came out on Friday morning to look at my unit. As I was asking questions, he answered everything I asked and showed me how everything is supposed to function. He found that my condenser coil wasn't functioning and it would have to be replaced. When he told me the amount for the replacement, it was almost half the amount for a new unit. After going through my options with Stephan, I decided on a getting a new unit. He's amazing. He went through all the details, the pros and cons of everything, walked me through the financing and the next day (today), the new air conditioning/heating unit is installed. Stephan even came today to deliver additional material needed for the install and made sure everything was being done appropriately. The installer, Robbie and Yoxan, were amazing as well. Everything they were doing, if I had a question, they explained thoroughly. Stephan is knowledgeable, patient, no nonsense and IMO, wonderful!!! There is a deep freezer coming tonight and my home is nice and toasty. I WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE!!! On a separate note, I have serious health issues right now. Things have been so hectic, I had forgotten that I already set up an appointment for Friday morning. I apologized to Jennifer for calling again and told her what was happening. She asked me if she could pray for me. Of course I'm going to say yes, I can use all the prayers I can get right now. Now I'm already blown away by this. Then Stephan, while he was here, prayed over me. I've never had anyone do this and am extremely grateful and humbled. Beyond just the service they provided, which was top notch, they graced me with prayer and I will be eternally grateful for it.

I can certainly say that DC/AC are NOT the professionals you'd like to work with. I've been chasing them for days now after paying over $300 for a repair that did not work. They do not call back or email as they promise. Not recommended. Edited: After posting this, I immediately got a call from Donald. Not only he claimed I was lying (why the hell would I? I WISH I wasn't in this position.), he proceeded to raise his voice and yell at me, asking me never to call them again. Mind you- all I was asking was the receipt (as I paid over the phone), which they never sent me.

Today Salwan came out to our place in Rancho Bernardo and replaced the old unit within hours, measured the pressure and air output of the new unit and did a full inspection. He then hauled off the old unit and did a perfect job cleaning up the work sites. We are very pleased with the results. It's great to have a working HVAC system. To save on heating costs, I hadn't used my furnace in several years (usually just wear layers of…read moreclothing to keep me warm when it's cold). This past winter was SO COLD, I finally decided to turn my furnace on, but nothing happened. I have a home warranty, so I called them & they put me in touch with Kool-Air Heating & Cooling. It was the night before Christmas Eve, so Salwan (Kool-Air company owner) & his son, Ali, came out the day after Christmas. My furnace is located at the back of my garage on a narrow platform ~9' above the garage floor; it's not easy to get to and there's only minimal space in which to work, with cross beams and rafters intersecting the area. It turns out my furnace was so old (original with ~50 y.o. house), several components had failed & the entire system needed replacing, which required approval from my home warranty company. Initially, my home warranty company denied my furnace replacement, saying it was too old (that's a whole other story). Over the following 5 weeks, Salwan continued to call the home warranty company on my behalf and eventually obtained approval to proceed. They purchased a new Lennox unit (which a neighbor who installs HVAC systems told me was a "really good furnace") and got to work. Because of the small work space, Ali did the bulk of the work, disconnecting & removing the old furnace and installing the new furnace. My house and the original system were so old that the vent and vent connectors did not fit with current standard components, so Salwan and Ali had to custom-make the fittings. For that reason, as well as the difficulty of working on the small platform intersected by beams and rafters, plus the heat (on an unusually warm day for this past winter), after nearly 7 hours, installation of the new furnace was not yet complete. Thus, Ali returned the following morning, working all day to finish installation and insulation of the furnace, thoroughly cleaning the area (including the complete platform) and the garage floor w/a vacuum, then installing and setting up a new digital thermostat. I love my new furnace. Fortunately, the weather has warmed up so I'm not using it right now, but I know that it's there in perfect working condition the next time I need it. Kool-Air Heating & Cooling is an excellent company. Being family-owned aloiws them the ability to offer customized/personalized service of the highest quality. Salwan and Ali are both extremely competent [Ali told me his dad has owned his own HVAC company both in their home country and here for (if I recall correctly) ~40 years, and that he has been working with his dad full-time for (I believe) ~8 yrs], thorough, and professional. Salwan is an honest and trustworthy businessman. My cost on top of what the home warranty covered was half of what I was expecting! Ali is reliable, pleasant (depite the heat and difficult working conditions), and persistent (kept working when he ran into trouble setting up the digital thermostat). My garage was left cleaner than when they began working. Equally important to their competence, both Salwan and Ali are very nice, and I felt completely comfortable and safe with them. I can not sing Salwan and Ali's praises enough! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kool-Air Heating & Cooling company to anyone who wants their HVAC job done right at a reasonable price by truly good people!!

I had a company come out and put in coolant but when that didn't work they told me I would need to replace the entire unit. On the phone other companies told me the same thing. The unit is only 5 years old. Then I found Mike and he is very experienced with the Midea brand. He came over and quickly assessed that I had a leak and that some things simply needed tightening. Wow, that saved me a huge amount of money! Mike was so helpful and took the time to explain exactly what he was going to do. I would definitely recommend Mike; he could have told me I needed to replace the unit like the others, but he was super honest and fixed the problem. Too bad I can't give more stars!
