I've had this phone for nearly four years with no issues before this happened. They told me my charging port was damaged and needed fixing. I left my phone with them for five hours, trusting they'd fix it properly. Later, they said they needed to replace the screen too something I never agreed to. They changed the screen without my permission and charged me £60, claiming the phone was fixed. Two weeks later, my phone started feeling heavier, and I noticed the battery was loose inside. My iPhone showed a warning that a non-genuine battery was installed. That's when I realised they had removed my original Apple battery and replaced it with a fake one again, without my permission. When I asked for my original battery back, they said they threw it away. That's not only dishonest, it's theft. A staff member named Jay was rude and tried to blame me and my phone for the problems. I had the phone for four years with no issues until it wouldn't turn on. They were supposed to fix it, but they replaced parts unnecessarily, damaged my phone further, and left me with a worse device. I made three visits in total. On the last visit, I arrived at 1pm and was told to come back at 6pm. I called at 5:30pm and they promised to call me back but never did. When I called again, they admitted they couldn't fix the phone. This was a complete waste of my time. I missed multiple buses because I trusted them. Buses in my area come only every two hours. I had to walk home twice a one-hour walk each way because of their incompetence and dishonesty. To make matters worse, their solution for damaging my phone was to offer me a discount if I bought a new iPhone from their store. How ridiculous is that I paid them to fix my phone, and because they messed it up, they think the answer is to try to sell me a new phone. That's not fixing the problem that's taking advantage of a customer. I wasted money on a temporary phone just to get by because they failed me so badly. I trusted them, and they lied, replaced genuine Apple parts with fake ones, and left me with a broken phone that still doesn't work. If you want a proper repair, go to an official Apple Store or authorised service provider. They will diagnose your phone properly, ask your permission before making changes, and treat your device with care. Do not trust Gadget Solution. Bad service, rude staff, dishonest practices, fake parts, and zero accountability.

I crashed my samsung screen during a holiday. I called around and this store offered me the…read morecheapest rate at £90 to put in new screen and LCD (original parts from Samsung). All was great for a few days, I was really happy with the service. A few days later I noticed a fault in the screen - the screen edge was not fully connected to the base of the phone. I went back to the store (I didn't have my receipt at the time) and the guy told me to come back and he will order me a new screen (as it was a screen fault of Samsung products). He gave me replacement receipt which said that the screen needed to be replaced. I was happy with this as they were keen to fix my issue and they told me to bring my original receipt and this receipt when i came back to replace my phone screen - so I went back a few days later with both my receipts when the parts had come in. He told me to come back in an hour and the phone would be fixed. When I came back, he gave the phone to me and said all was done. when i checked the phone however, he hadn't replaced the screen -- he GLUED IT. he GLUED a £450 handset! there was residue around the areas where the screen had been raising up. and glue residue on the back of my phone. i was so angry they hadn't replaced it. they said it was because there were "scratches" on the base of my phone (what has scratches on my phone got to do with anything?! and those scratches were not there when i gave my phone to them! They told me to come back the next day and the screen would be replaced. When i went home it really sunk in that they had put glue on something that cost a lot of money. i got angrier and i called them and i demanded to know why they had put glue when they said they would replace my screen. they said the "glue doesn't harm the phone." i was so angry and demanded they do as they assured me and he said they would and asked me to come back in the next day. I went back the next day.... and they had put MORE GLUE. they didn't replace the screen AGAIN. they thought i would be stupid enough not to notice. I was so angry. 2 times in to the store and they hadn't done what they said they would do. They told me to come back 20 minutes later and they will NOW put a screen on. I waited for 10 minutes in the shop - and they gave me back my phone with a new screen. there was still glue residue on the back of my phone and a sticker which they had failed to remove properly. I wasn't happy at this point. They had put glue inside my phone. I wanted my money money back and the guy refused because "i had got what i wanted" i explained why i was unhappy and they didnt care. he said "he didnt glue the phone." i was angry. he confirmed the phone was glued - he replaced my screen and now he is LYING to my face,- he knows it, i know it, and he is SMILING. when i asked to see the screen that he just replaced he refused to hand it over. he said "you dont have the right to see it" he took the receipt which said "screen replacement" and wrote "done" on the receipt. and he said "now you got what you wanted and now i have what i wanted". when i tried to take the receipt back he snatched it away from me. I am reporting this store to trading standards. this has been the worst experience i have gone through in a store. i NEVER complain. I NEVER even write reviews...but no one should ever go to this store. They lie and they try to cheat you out of your money. Save your money - better yet, pay a little more and go somewhere else. you will be better for it.

This is the most atrocious service I have ever encountered…read more I brought my phone with a smashed screen and explained that I need it fixed on the day, that it was an emergency. They took my phone and agreed that they can fix it on the day and I should return several hours later, all lovely and helpful. I returned, the screen they replaced it with was very faulty, it immediately started to fade, and what I had opened overlapped with what was there previously, also there was a sideway light diffusion with most visuals, especially messages and texts. I needed the phone and could use the touch screen so after a lengthy talk about the situation, they changed the price from £60 to £55 and agreed I can come back anytime and they will change it in 5 minutes, for free, while I wait, I explained I live 11 miles away, and mentioned all the extra petrol and parking fee from this, but it wasn't an issue for them. I had a family member take my phone back for the second repair, and before they left, I called and double checked whether it was ok and that they can get it fixed quickly, they said yes. When the family member arrived, he was asked to return back in an hour and a half. I called back to the shop angry, and they threatened to return my broken screen back and refund my money, and they did. THEY SMASHED my screen in 3 places, and returned it with my money. Other shops offered to do this for a cheaper price than the "discount" I got (alas not the same day) so this place is definitely not cheap either! I only hope it's now just the screen that's the problem, and they haven't damaged the rest by smashing it. Horrible people.

I am however never going to shop here again due to how they treated me recently. An amplifier that I bought from here 12 years ago has stopped working so have taken it for repair and they charged me £40. An 'engineer' called me about a week later and said he couldn't repair the amp due to needing a part that he isn't able to obtain due to how old the amp is. I return to the store to pick up the amp but am told that the £40 is non refundable! There is no mention of this on the receipt I have been given and I'm told I can have £20 off a new amp from the store. The reason i am given is that they need to pay the engineer £20 for opening up the amp. When I raise the point that if the engineer knew that the amp was too old too repair then why did he open it up and thus they charge me, surely the store knew that his amp was too old to repair and therefore should have just advised me of this when I first came in. Poor service provided and no sympathy with the customer at all, not something I am pleased about and definitely would advise any potential customers to be aware of this before buying any expensive tech from here!
