I was able to get in within a day or two, which was super awesome! I wasn't 100% sure what to do but the masseuse was super great about walking me through everything. I had never gotten a massage before so it felt weird to strip down in someone's office lol. She didn't once make me feel embarrassed or uncomfortable for not knowing what to do. As we got the massage, she could tell that there was major issues going on with the muscles in my shoulders, upper back, and neck. She worked through them really well and used just the right amount of pressure. I also loved the warm towels mixed with the Deep Blue Gel. It made for a very soothing experience. We also had a great chat about life while I was getting my massage, which was nice so it wasn't awkward. The atmosphere when we weren't talking though, was also great. It was calming and relaxing. I went here for prenatal massages and it was great! I was recently given a gift card for a 60 minute massage so I scheduled with Brianna. She was extremely knowledgeable and it was a great massage! The issues I have are not with her, they are with how the business is run. The stars are for Brianna. 1. My massage was scheduled for 12:40 and When I was told we were finished the clock read 1:30. When I asked why we ended 10 minutes early Brianna informed me that at Calming Touch they massage for 10 minutes less than the time you pay for (I.e. a 50 minute massage when you paid for a 60 minute massage) even if you arrive early so your massage begins on time. 2. I had a coupon from referring a family member that I used during checkout. When I went to pay with my gift card I was informed I was not allowed to use a gift card if I have any discount applied to the price of my massage. So I had to pay out of pocket. *I will note that nowhere on the website or at the location does it say this is a rule, so I found it very frustrating, especially after paying for 60 minutes and being told I only get 50. This does not happen at other massage companies (i much experience in managing a massage business and attending multiple) and it was extremely disappointing to find out. I cannot in good conscience recommend this location anymore to my friends and family as I now know we aren't getting what we paid for.

I chose the first person on the list with availability for a Friday day. That masseuse was Sara. Sara was amazing in her skill as well as personable. She gave me several tips to try at home in between massages, which I totally plan on trying. The spa is very welcoming and beautifully decorated. I came in as a tired, underdressed mama bear almost embarrassed at my clothing and no makeup surrounded by this beautiful building and modern indoor decor. But I left feeling welcomed, relaxed and the tension slowly being released from my stressed out body. While I have yet to schedule my next massage, I'm telling you I cannot wait to visit again. After my first 60min massage I'm already feeling much better, that I know my next session will make me feel even better.

The waiting area is just in the front which is different from most massage studios I go to where it's a calmer darker room to wait. Still nice and they offered hot towels if you wanted. The massage room was pretty normal. They asked what type of pressure and massage I wanted. The massage itself was, not great. I asked for deep pressure and it just felt like getting oil rubbed on me. There was no target around the muscles and even when I asked for deeper pressure it remained the same. It felt like maybe my therapist was new and didn't know what he was doing. I asked to avoid my hair and he massaged my scalp and messed with my hair anyways. The Himalayan salt stones were nice but they were used for a few minutes on my back and that was it. She asked multiple times about the pressure and made adjustments, concentrating on areas I pointed out. The main issue I experienced was the constant interruptions. When the phone rang or another customer walked in, she would leave to answer without saying anything. She also stepped out for a few minutes to discuss something with her coworker. There were probably 5-6 separate incidents so it completely disrupted the flow, yet the massage still finished on the hour. I paid in cash to avoid the credit card charge, but it was awkward. I had to ask for change back and instead of just giving me the correct amount, she asked how much - as in, what's the tip?
